LucidLink bridges gaps across computers and oceans
What do you like best about the product?
Efficient, allows for global collaboration, intuitive, and any issues or errors I've had in the past have been easy to resolve.
What do you dislike about the product?
Need a strong internet connection, but I do think it's reasonable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows for a hybrid and/or remote workspace as well as global filesharing.
lucidlink is very good
What do you like best about the product?
lucidlink is very good, it speeds up and makes working with video editing and audiovisual content much easier

At the moment I have nothing to complain about the platform

Had no issues and everything always worked. Drive was always visible and was always very responsive.

Life Saver!
What do you like best about the product?
Prior to using LucidLink we had a botched backup system via Dropbox and it made connecting to PR projects a pain in the ass. Now its super simple to access whatever files are needed at the click of a button
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside to Lucid Link which doesn't even affect me is that you have to be online for it to work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
storage and accessing media belonging to my team members
A core piece of a remote editing workflow
What do you like best about the product?
LucidLink has become the center piece of my remote editing workflow. With everything cached to a local drive, it acts as a local drive even though I am sharing it with at least one other editor or assistant. Together with Mimiq for Avid bin locking, it is as if I am cutting together with someone in the next room. I would not be able to work these past few years without LucidLink. It is more than worth what I pay for it.
What do you dislike about the product?
There really are no downsides if you use it correctly. I pin everything to a fast local drive formatted APFS on my Mac so everything is smooth. Of course with anything like this the performance relies on fast Internet, which I have. So I have been very pleased with the experience. Ultimately I would like to see the ability to mount more than one filespace at the same time. But I have been told repeatedly that this feature is in the works and will be available soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to work in an Avid Project remotely with at least one other user at the same time. It is invaluable.
Long standing customer and great relationship
What do you like best about the product?
We have worked with them for years and they are consistant with billing and product.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isnt anything really as they ddo the job we need them for. We are clients from across the pond sop maybe time zone but that cant really be helped!

It is allowing us to have the support to intergrate cloud systems for ourr clients
Great for our small team
What do you like best about the product?
Lucid has been awesome for our in-house video team. Using it with team projects in Adobe Premiere or Davinci Resolve has been a game-changer. Very fast and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Lucid will do something weird, like it'll just stop uploading a file, or it just randomly refuses to download a file, or maybe it won't show up in Finder.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote editing, especially with multiple people accessing the same assets and project files at the same time, within shared projects.
Unfortunately never got to experiment with sharing collaborative files
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the idea of Lucidlink, and how simple it was to install. Outside of that, I unfortunately never got to use the software for the reason I intended, because my teammmate who I share files with was not interested in using the product

Again, not very sure since I didn't get to use the product like I had originally intended to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed a way to share .indd files with my teammmate and I was directed to this application. I am not sure if it works or not, or how well it works since they were not interested in using the application on their personal computer and we are a small team that doesn't have company provided hardware
file sharing that works with CAD
What do you like best about the product?
LucidLink maintians the file locks that CAD applications like Revit and AutoCAD need to work in a multiuser environment. There are very few solutions for the problem of working with CAD files in a distributed environment. It's also fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I can say against it is that I wish it were less expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For remote office and home workers it eliminates the need to all be on the same LAN to work on CAD files.
Seamless integration to our ecosystem
What do you like best about the product?
It is really plug and play with our existing systems and processes. A very welcome addition. Upload and download speeds are great and stable and it seems like there are only more ways we can get fuction out of LucidLink.
What do you dislike about the product?
Haven't found anything to be upset about quite yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a film production house that use lucidlink to avoid the reversioning of project files over and over again to avoid losing any work as well as saving a ton of time not having to relink media.
