What do you like best about the product?
What we love about LucidLink is how it transformed an industry that was never built for remote work into one that thrives on it. By letting creative teams access massive files instantly from anywhere, LucidLink turned “you have to be in the studio” into “you can be anywhere.”
What do you dislike about the product?
As long as everyone is within the same continent, it's fantastic, there's no CDN localizing data for reigons other than your main AWS, so if you're trying to allow an editor in APAC access, they are going to have a bad time.

Cost, they frequently adjust prices and their billing structure, also removing Wasabi hurt a lot of indie operations. Their current billing setup by focusing on per user, and pooling storage is the worst one of them all, I wish they'd undo and go back to their 2023 strategy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before, working with huge video or design assets meant local servers or long downloads from FTP servers. Now, teams can stream files instantly from the cloud as if they were local = no syncing, no waiting. It’s made quick turn around broadcast workflows seamless, enabling true work-from-anywhere collaboration without compromising speed or security.

A very unique software that solves my issues.

What do you like best about the product?
1) The ability to access files anywhere, from multiple devices.
2) I don't have to download a file to edit it and afterwards upload it again into the system. I can edit it on my desktop and it saves automatically.
3) Fast and responsive support team. They even followed up multiple times when I didn't answer back.
What do you dislike about the product?
1) Sometimes it gets disconnected by itself.
2) At one instance, I was logged out from the system and was unable to login again. Turns out the system was experiencing an internal error. This was a bit troublesome because I use it for my work files, and the system error occurred within my working hours. However, the support team responded to my complaint immediately, and the matter was solved quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not having to download files to edit them.

LucidLink helps our video workflow

What do you like best about the product?
Access anywhere you are. No need to download anything and sharable folders with freelancers. Very easy to set everyone up to use, not complicated. Their team are very easy to talk to and keep updated with new features, we wanted the option to move files between spaces and we were able to do that when they released that feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
Usability is a little off, how pinning works and working with proxies in Premiere. There are extra features but I've not found useful yet.
Sharing links to files is also a bit messy, people have to copy and paste a link rather than being a clickable link to the file.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not needing a SAN and server room. We can collaborate on projects as a team without sitting in the same office. We don't need to share physical drives. We can access files from anywhere, and even invite freelancers to work on the same folders.

Quick, Fluid & Save

What do you like best about the product?
Lucid Link allows our team to work in two distinct locations without any latency. The saved files are updated almost instantly, so my partner can then open the file I just closed.

Lucid Link allows us to work without worrying about storage or the workplace. Our folders are accessible everywhere, even with a poor connection.

Finally, if by chance we make a mistake, the backup system is extremely efficient. Lucid Link has always allowed us to retrieve a previous version of a file overwritten during an untimely save.
What do you dislike about the product?
The classic LucidLink lacks the ability to share a file via a public link.

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that you can access & edit within your own mac's finder, with editors all over the world, makes this a solution like no other. Support is top notch and super quick. Installation and set up is super easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
New lucidlink only has the more expensive AWS cloudspace.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fragmented storage on multiple drives that are not easily accesible and make you download everything.

Prior to LL we had a server solution for the storage of projects and raw data.
in case of an illness we always had to make sure the right version is uploaded.
now with LL the whole team has access to all projects and we always have the right version.
everyone in the team has access to all the raw data - makes it so much more efficient.

No Issues

What do you like best about the product?
The cloud upload for files to be available is very quick. I use the app but the web interface is very useful too. No issues. Super easy to implement as we replaced a server with it. Customer support are helpful for us getting around firewall issues. I use it every day and haven't found an issue other than if there was downtime on LucidLink's end. Very easy to integrate and works well across the team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Don't dislike anything. It all seems to work fine.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had an issue across Macs and PCs where image thumbnails wouldn't show due to how our server spoke to the machines. That's all solved and now files are easily accessible particularly with those guys that work from home.

Fast, Reliable, and Seamless File Access for Distributed Teams

  • October 08, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
LucidLink’s real strength is how effortlessly it connects multiple teams across the country. Whether it’s motion graphics in Charlotte, photo editing in Pittsburgh, or design revisions in LA, everyone can work off the same project files in real time, no downloading, no version chaos, no waiting. It behaves like a shared local drive but with cloud-level flexibility and speed.
What do you dislike about the product?
When working on slower connections — especially in airports or hotels — it can take a while to sync or preview large files. It’s not a dealbreaker, but something to keep in mind if you’re traveling or using spotty Wi-Fi.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a way to manage and access massive creative files between teams nationwide without constant uploading and downloading. LucidLink solved that instantly, keeping our workflow fast, consistent, and fully collaborative in real time.

Lucid Link

  • October 08, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
With Lucid Link, I am able to work easily from any location without worrying that slow internet speeds will disrupt my workflow. I take advantage of my Lucid cache, confident that any files I move into Lucid will gradually sync to our shared drives, making them available to the entire team while I concentrate on other tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sharing files with people outside our team can be challenging. If someone doesn't have a company email address or isn't already set up with a Lucid account, we still have to rely on other storage platforms to share files with external agencies. Customer support assure us a solution is around the corner.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool is helping us improve our workflows by consolidating all our assets in a single location. It streamlines asset storage with an intuitive and secure filing system, making it easier for our teams to access exactly what they need, while ensuring that access is limited to only the necessary resources.
