ability to monitor practically everything. restapi is also really cool.

Unmatched scalability and customisation
What do you like best about the product?
It's rather easy to set up distributed monitoring to scale your monitoring infrastructure and manage the cmk sites from a central (master) setup. Also, every request I've received could be implemented thanks to the numerous out of the box checks, and if all else should fail, a self written custom plugin and check can definitely solve the issue. The docs are also great!
What do you dislike about the product?
There's no piggyback data transfer solution in place yet (but it's already under development).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Almost every monitoring related tasks are handled with checkmk. It's not an issue to connect every host in your infrastructure, and the bakery makes managing agents an easy job.
A very good monitoring tool for Business
What do you like best about the product?
A really good monitoring tools that is user friendly and simple to use GUI. Easy to train new users to operate this monitoring tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of visualization dashboard such as performance graph for a specific service of a host/service groups.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Checkmk help's triggering alerts for incidents which is very crucial in our environment.

Powerful, but easy to start with. Very extendable and rapi development. Focused on customer requests.

There is really nothing I dislike. perhaps the rapid development so you have to update regularly 😉

What do you like best about the product?
Simple, great budget wise and also feature-wise monitoring system available out there. Most of our needs are obtained in the platform without needing to purchase additional modules
What do you dislike about the product?
It does its job well, but if it can be expanded to accept for example, netflow data natively it would be great. Also pricing should be documented transparently without asking sales
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Checkmk is able to monitor whatever my VM have. Simple and effective. We can also expand it using custom scripts if our requirements cant be fulfilled by native plugins.

Nothing to mention, so far the tool is fulfilling our requirements

What do you like best about the product?
It's very simple to use for first steps of monitoring. It can be used by most of end users. It"s for novice and also for advanced for further developmnet.
What do you dislike about the product?
For now I did not find something very bad. In last years there were hugh improvments in the solution covering a lot of end device to monitor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To identify the problem asap by our Helpdesk team, which can further raise the ticket for second level of support. Problems like space on disks, cpu utillization, memory, special service and web sizes.
I've used some other Monitoring Tools but CheckMk is giving me the vibe.

Easy to use, a lot of plugins on can use and how much improvements I can contribute.

Nothing yet, but I wish there is a directory where one can learn about CheckMk broadly in a simple way.

The setup is so easy and the configuration is very flexible

Great monitoring system have been using it for several years

Easy to write custom checks by extending the agent with local checks. We also manage all agents centrally using the agent bakery which makes things easier.

The interface is confusing for new users and it can be difficult to give the relevant rules

It allows every team to have their own dashboard or set of checks that meets their own requirements
