What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much negative I can tell. Searching within the Checkmk ruleset can be quite tricky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Checkmk comes with a bunch of pre-defined Hardware, Software, Application checks it supports. All our SAP and MSSQL Database servers, Vmware ESXi hosts, Mid-range Storage Systems as well as Network devices (Switches, Firewalls, Routers, WLAN-Controllers) and Media devices (mostly monitored via SNMP) can be seamlessly monitored. Most of the services and metrics are discovered automatically. Warning / Critical thresholds are automatically set at reasonable defauts. This saves a lot of time for manual configuration.

What do you like best about the product?
CheckMK is the most powerfull enterprise monitoring. Useable for little usecases up to high end. It's customizeable how ever you want and if some functionality not onboard, it's easy to extend this.
Since the last releases, you get a powerful overview with dashboards for powerusers and non IT Users.

All things in the infrastructure will be transparent. You get alerts before an incident is starting
IT Monitoring out of the Box
What do you like best about the product?
The product is easy to tart with and it offers various nice installation options, including appliances for quick test setups. It offers nice integration options, too. The community is super helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
When diving deeper into the possibilities the learning curve gets steeper.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I mainly use it for setting up prototypes and integrating the mobile alerting solution SIGNL4.
