Organized Product Management but Challenging Customization
What do you like best about the product?
Using Teamcenter has been very impactful in developing and managing our products. It helps bring all the scattered pieces together, with design files, material specifications, test reports, cost calculations, and customer requirements all connected and updated in real time. The way it supports smooth collaboration across different teams is excellent, allowing everyone to see the current status, comments, and track decisions with full history and logs. The approval workflows feel natural rather than forced. Additionally, the rollout of Teamcenter was smooth and quick.
What do you dislike about the product?
We wanted to tailor certain workflows and approval sequences but even making moderate changes required significant efforts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teamcenter organizes scattered information, streamlining collaboration across teams and ensuring all data is connected and updated in real time.
Best PLM Experience: Clear Revision History, Great Classification & Search Filters
What do you like best about the product?
Teamcenter I use it for tracking parts and assemblies and integration with CATIA works well for viewing and managing design particularly I like the classification and the search filters because they makes it easier to find Older components quickly rather than redesigning them. Overall it has been the best PLM experience for completing and delivering tasks with fewer errors and it keeps the revision history clear organized and easy to follow.
What do you dislike about the product?
With Teamcenter searching can takes sometimes a while when the database is large. Overall experience feels are very modern but It also takes a bit of practice to get quicker with it even the workflows are very intuitive which keeps navigation straightforward and helps me carry out tasks efficiently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teamcenter helped us with the addressing issues of duplicate parts which we are now able to reuse existing designs, which saves a lot of time and cuts down unnecessary extra work for both like design & procurement teams. Overall it has been clearly improving our efficiency with Teamcenter.
Teamcenter Keeps Multi-Team BOMs, Workflows, and CAD Data Seamlessly Connected
What do you like best about the product?
Siemens Teamcenter works well us when multiple teams are involved. We depend on the BOM structure, document links and workflow approvals every day and they help keep our work organized. The integration with NX and other CAD tools also makes managing desgin data easier, since everything stays connected and theres less manual follow up needed. Role based is another especially given how our team is set up.
What do you dislike about the product?
Teamcenter required support from the team to get configured properly. Also even small changes seem to take more steps than I expected. That said, the dashboards are useful and the search feature helps me find files fastest without wasting time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teamcenter helps keep teams aligned when they’re working on the same product. It reduces mismatches between files and versions, which makes handovers from desgin to production snoother. It also helps prevent errors when teams are updating the same data at the same time.
Centralized Hub for Efficient PLM Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Teamcenter has become a centralized hub for product approvals and design, which has improved our product launch and timelines. The collaboration on this PLM software has really improved as cross-functional teams can work simultaneously without stepping on each other's toes. I appreciate the real-time commenting on each production stage, workflow notifications, and automated approvals, which have led to faster decision-making. I enjoy the faster, streamlined processes, as what once took weeks for design iterations or change orders now happens in days. I like the integration capabilities, as it connects smoothly with our existing product design tools, so data flows without manual re-entry, reducing duplication and keeping everyone in the loop. Additionally, the initial setup was smoother than I expected, taking us less than a week.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a learning curve, especially for advanced features like complex BOM management and analytics modules. In the early weeks, daily tasks felt slower as people adjusted to these advanced modules.

Teamcenter centralizes product approvals and design, improving timelines. It enhances collaboration across teams with real-time comments and automated approvals, speeding up decisions. Integration capabilities eliminate manual data entry, reducing duplication and keeping everyone informed.
Clean, Auditable Records with Strong SAP Integration
What do you like best about the product?
I work mostly on the compliance and data governence side and Teamcenter fits well in that context because it keeps records clean, consistent and well structured. I mainly use it track lifecycle states and to make sure the data is aligned before it gets pushed to downstream systems. Its tight integration with SAP and our internal reporting tools helps reduce manual checks and rework. I also appreciate that every change is logged properly, which especially useful when I’m building data pipelines for reporting and need a clear audit trail.
What do you dislike about the product?
Teamcenter still feels like it has many fields and too steps, even when I’m only making small updated. This the chages are reflected across systems, which makes the process less confusing and easier to follow, it helps with better coordination and redults in fewer production mistakes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Snowflake to pull data in from multiple sources that were previously unaligned and having everything centralized has made it much cleaner and easier to manage. Since making this change, our pipelines have been more stable and we’ve run into fewer reporting erros, things are running properly now and feel more consistent daily. Its also been useful during audits and has helped reduce the risk of missing data.
Rock-Solid Audit Trails and Approval Workflows for Compliance
What do you like best about the product?
Teamcenter is strong when it comes to audit trails. Every file, change and approval is logged, so it’s easy to see what happened, when it happened, and who signed off. We use it alongside SAP and our internal tools, and it helps keep our records clean, consistent and easier to maintain. I also like the workflow routings and the built in approval steps nothing moves forward without the proper sign off. Overall, it’s been a useful tool for compliance work as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Teamcenter feels heavy overall, and it can take a while to load at times. It’s also not very intuitive for new users, especially for non-engineering teams trying to get up to speed. That said, it works well with NX and also integrates fine with some third party tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed better control for audits, and now everything is traceable. There’s much less manual tracking and there are fewer gaps when we go through client checks in Teamcenter. Updates are now shared in one central place, which has cut down on miscommunication and made handoffs smoother overall.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like that Teamcenter smoothly integrates every part of the product journey, from early sketches to product finalization, keeping everything visible and connected. The real-time product update sharing features are fantastic for keeping collaborators in sync, even when we're juggling tight deadlines from different locations. I also rely on the timely reports that provide insights without having to dig through piles of data. Mobile access is also a huge plus, as it allows me to check progress on product development during early morning commutes or late-night checks from home, providing updates whenever I'm on the move and not on-site.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest drawback initially for me was the learning curve. It took me and my team members several weeks of daily use before we felt truly comfortable navigating all the modules and workflow. Also, initial deployment was more demanding than expected.

I admire that Teamcenter keeps everything visible and connected, catching product issues early to avoid costly delays. The bifurcation of product development stages has proven to be especially valuable providing detailed insight on every progress update.

I really appreciate Teamcenter's end-to-end visibility of the product lifecycle as it allows me to track design status, approvals, BOM, and overall project progress, which provides me with complete information for better decision-making. The collaboration and workflow management features ensure that tasks are completed within defined timelines. Teamcenter helps me manage product data centrally, track project progress, and control design revisions, resolving issues of coordination and data inconsistency.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see improvement in its system speed, as it is a server-based platform, the speed to execute a project is large, so I would like an enhancement in the speed of the platform.

I use Teamcenter to ensure seamless coordination across departments, manage product data, track project progress, and control design revisions. It provides end-to-end project visibility, enabling me to track design status and approvals, and helps in error identification and revision, ensuring task completion within timelines.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Teamcenter has become a centralized hub for product lifecycle management, covering stages from early ideation to planning phase-outs and replacements. The automated AI-based stage gate approvals have eliminated the clumsy endless email chains required for product approvals. I find the notification feature helpful, as everyone is informed about progress when a milestone is achieved. I appreciate how Teamcenter tracks every modification with full history, version control, and impact analysis across production lines, which is crucial due to frequent engineering changes and regulatory updates in our work. I also value that it flags potential risks automatically, such as cost implications or compliance gaps, allowing us to catch issues early. The initial setup and integration with ERP systems were smoother than expected.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pulling legacy data from multiple older systems was a huge task for this software. Some of the new advanced analytics modules could do better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teamcenter acts as a centralized hub for product lifecycle management, automating stage gate approvals, eliminating long email chains, and notifying progress. It tracks engineering changes, manages cost implications, meets deadlines, and maintains a full history with version control, flagging risks early for better compliance.
Reliable Data Sync and Workflow Tracking That Keeps Distributed Teams Aligned
What do you like best about the product?
Our teams are spread across multiple locations and Teamcenter helps keep everyone aligned. The more we use it alongside CATIA and a few internal tools, the more we’ve seen the data sync stay reliable. I especially like the workflow tracking and how tasks move from desgin through approval without needing constant follow ups and audit trail is also helpful when we need to review past changes and integrating it with CAD and ERP saves us from having to enter the same information twice.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its not very fast when working with large assemblies and performance can feel sluggish at times. Teamcenter helps keep everything aligned and organised.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It resolved the problem teams working from outdated files, since everyone now accesses the same data, this has strengthened coordination across the desgin, manufacturing and quality teams and its made our day to day work more effective. We’ve also reduced production erros because everyone is referring back to the same controlled dataset.
