A great tool to track and understand how your customers use your product.
What do you like best about the product?
The live view of events in real-time. We almost instantly receive the actions that user did in the live-view and that's really great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not very intuitive UI in some cases. Meaning in some cases it's hard to find what you're looking for specifically. Also maybe improve a little bit the filtering options, so that it's easier to combine multiple filters into one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us with understanding on how our users are using our product, therefore we know what new features to develop and how to improve the existing ones.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make use of more features that Mixpanel has to offer.
Intuitive and easy to use, with endless ways to analyse data.
What do you like best about the product?
The JQL query feature is fantastic in that a knowledgeable data analyst can input queries that will return invaluable amounts of highly niche data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much really. I wish the bookmarks feature was a little more pleasing on the eye, but that's about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using Mixpanel to analyse how our staff interact with company systems. Mixpanel then allows us to sample their work as part of a comprehensive quality control process.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want a user-friendly way of analysing your company's data then go for Mixpanel.
Insightful tool.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the dashboard function the most since it enables clear overview of data you set up.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd wish there are more guides on how to set things up. Series on how to improve certain metrics and how to set it up for business would be great as well. (at least for marketing department of our company)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to get more insights about our users which we got with mapping whole experience. By doing some AB tests we quickly realized assumption is the mother of all ****ups. :)

Know what you want to measure and then go step by step by implementing data for each metric you are trying to use.
Great tool but costly
What do you like best about the product?
All the features are quite strong. Funnel management is the most frequently used one. With the push/ email integration, it has also become a marketing tool now.
What do you dislike about the product?
it's quite costly. One needs to be doubly sure before taking it up and doing the integration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
mostly building a data pipeline with events dumping and coming up with insights.
Quick overview and deep if need be!
What do you like best about the product?
The automation to send notifications to different customers based on many segments and other settings. The generous filters and options in the free tier.
What do you dislike about the product?
The retention graph could use a facelift.

What our users are not doing after sign up and how to get them to quickly see the core value of our app.

The free tier is great to allow you to get started and even add custom events
Awesome platform
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to set up, easy to track. Sending events is easy and there is an ability to add custom events. Very less boilerplate set up.
What do you dislike about the product?
Drop off, segmentation funnel are hard to understand and set up. Very less flexibility for setting up funnel.

Understanding the user flow, actions on our platform.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to create ad-hoc queries against user data, see cohorted retention and funnel conversion over time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a page/screen path analysis function in addition to the current capabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We monitor user retention, app usage trends and conduct funnel analysis. Mixpanel is THE way we quickly answer hypothetical questions about our users.
A great discovery tool, easy to implement
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of implementation, very flexible for the non technical professional.
What do you dislike about the product?
Learning curve for new employees is high. It would be a great help to have introductory videos to help new users in the company to understand better the use cases and principles.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improving lead to prospect and prospect to customer conversion rates.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need to dig down your user acquisition process and understand what's going on, Mixpanel will help you with very little effort from the engineering standpoint. It takes a little effort to understand what variables you would like to track, but once you set it is outstanding.

Mobile app implementation is surprisingly complex, and the documentation is too dev-focused

A better understanding of user behavior, and really easy behavior based campaign testing

Perform a proper assessment of your analytics needs before you start implementing mixpanel

The SDK and visualizations are really simple to set up and track everything that’s inportant
What do you dislike about the product?
Missing notifications for Events to either email, slack or a simple webhook. The live view is great but isn’t far enough in the past
