I use Mixpanel across several projects and I’m extremely happy with the insights and flexibility
What do you like best about the product?
Mixpanel gives me a crystal-clear view of user behavior across all my products. The event-based tracking system is intuitive, and the flexibility with custom properties is unmatched. Funnels, retention, and cohort analysis are incredibly easy to set up. The ability to slice and dice data in real time is a massive productivity boost, and the UX is one of the best in analytics tools I’ve used. I also love how easy it is to integrate Mixpanel into new projects and share insights with non-technical stakeholders.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only real downside is that advanced queries can sometimes require workarounds or external tools like BigQuery for deeper analysis. Also, while the UI is fantastic, some features are a bit hidden at first and take time to discover. Pricing at scale can be an issue for smaller teams, especially if event volume grows quickly. But overall, these are minor issues compared to the value it provides.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mixpanel helps me deeply understand how users interact with our product — where they drop off, which features they love, and how behavior changes over time. It's solving the classic “black box” problem: without it, we’d be guessing. With Mixpanel, I can validate product hypotheses, measure the impact of releases, and make data-driven decisions without relying on engineers for every new insight. It’s also great for aligning stakeholders — I can build dashboards that speak to marketing, product, and leadership teams in one place. This clarity has helped us increase retention and optimize onboarding flows significantly.

What do you like best about the product?
Mixpanel is remarkable for its configurable dashboarding and real-time event tracking. I particularly value how simple it is to create funnels, examine drop-offs, and divide users based on any attribute without constantly requiring engineering assistance. Our product and growth teams can work swiftly and confidently because to the user interface's speed and ease of use, as well as capabilities like cohorts, retention analysis, and configurable alarms. We can make the most of the platform because of the excellent documentation and assistance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Without prior knowledge, it may be challenging to fully comprehend or find some of Mixpanel's more sophisticated capabilities. Cohort filters, behavioral features, and custom formulas, for instance, are incredibly effective but not necessarily clear to non-technical users. Additionally, it would be beneficial if additional integrations were pre-installed, particularly for data warehouses. Finally, teams may not be able to track data as freely unless they have a solid plan in place because the price model might get costly as event volume increases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Through important journeys like onboarding, feature uptake, and retention, Mixpanel assists us in understanding how customers engage with our product. We can determine where people drop off, which features encourage engagement, and how certain parts perform over time by monitoring user activity in real time. Our product, growth, and data teams are able to prioritize improvements based on facts rather than conjecture thanks to this visibility. Additionally, it facilitates faster experimentation and alignment on common KPIs while testing new concepts.

What do you like best about the product?
Its usability and the possibility to track a lot of stuff. Also it is very intuitive and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some key feature are are somewhat hidden, for example the coohort analysis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows ud to track every metric we need to reach the Product-Market Fit, for example Activation Rate, Conversion Rate, Retention...

What do you like best about the product?
UI/UX is very easy to use. Comes with a lot of customizations like lexicon setup and events can be set up too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Bit expensive. Limitations on data loading while using a lot of filter values.

What do you like best about the product?
As a QA professional, I've found Mixpanel to be a robust analytics platform that significantly streamlines user behavior tracking and data analysis. The implementation process is straightforward, with comprehensive SDKs and clear documentation that made integration smooth across our web and mobile applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve can be steep for non-technical team members, and some advanced features require significant setup time. Pricing can become expensive as data volume scales, which may be prohibitive for smaller teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The real-time event tracking is exceptionally reliable, and I appreciate the intuitive funnel analysis tools that help identify user drop-off points quickly. The cohort analysis features provide valuable insights into user retention patterns, while the A/B testing capabilities integrate seamlessly with our existing testing workflows. The dashboard customization options are extensive, allowing teams to focus on metrics that matter most.

What do you like best about the product?
I use it on a daily basis as my job is to present customer insights, and I think it provides clean data, nice and structured visualisation, and is generally a very intuitive tool!
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside of MixPanel revolves unfortunately around the lack of effective integration with some other tools we used, therefore the data is sometimes not complete compared to what we can see on the other tools, however, as mentioned, it is overall great!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is allowing us to find out more about our customers pain points and needs.
Excellent Analytics, But New Pricing Creates Challenges
What do you like best about the product?
Mixpanel is a solid alternative to Amplitude, offering a simpler, more user-friendly interface. It provides an excellent experience for event tracking and analytics—without the steep learning curve common to other platforms. It has all the features you need, yet remains easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lately, they changed their free plan, making Mixpanel very difficult for many growing businesses, including ours. That said, the Mixpanel team did step in to help us enroll in their Startup Program, which grants us a free year with additional feautures. While this eases the burden in the short term, the underlying pricing challenge remains for long-term users once the Startup Program ends. The core issue for us is that push notifications (which we use heavily) generate a high volume of events, causing us to quickly exceed our limit.

Mixpanel helps track and analyze user behavior within our apps, providing insights into engagement, retention, and conversion. Its event-based tracking offers a deeper understanding of how users interact with various features, helping us optimize product and marketing strategies.
Most intuitive platform to slice and dice business data
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is very flexible when it comes to analyzing data from different angles, whether it's churn, conversion rate, or user paths. It also keeps coming up with new relevant features, I was feeling the need to have custom calculations, and around 2 months later they already had it launched.
Another thing that I really enjoy is how fast and thorough their support team is. We had several doubts regarding an update done to UTM tags and they replied on the same day with answers and solutions adapted to our case.
The interface is very intuitive, I use it every day to create dashboards and my colleagues, which only go there occasionally easily interact with it.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's hard to be aware of the new features launched. Some of them I only get to know by accident while doing new reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The top issues Mixpanel is solving are understanding the impact new features have on our clients, how our experiments are performing, creating segments of clients based on metric usage.
Game changer to our Black Friday efforts
What do you like best about the product?
MixPanel is super simple, flexible and robust. We previously used a very centrailsed approach with Tablaue, where only the data team were able to produce complex reports. The shift to mixpanel proved to be a huge game chnager that helped ys x2.5 on Black Friday. The real time, the decentralised approach so everyone have the abuility tpo create reports, the ease of use - all made our team much more data savvy than before.
What do you dislike about the product?
After 1 year or so of packing it with our data, we feel some clutter and slowness - but I assume this is part of us needing to become more efficient with our use of data and events.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It enabled us to quickly react to change in our subscription funnel and optimise it in real time. Easy to produce AB test board proven to be a huge win for us.

What do you like best about the product?
Mixpanel stands out for its real-time tracking. The UI is clean, fast, and easy to use. It supports both server-side and client-side event tracking, making it flexible. Data can be exported in multiple formats, and the API makes extraction seamless. Great for deep user behavior analysis. Customer support is very resposive and capable. Reports are very user friednly.

The data export API can be improved by making it customizable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mixpanel helps with CRO by tracking user behavior in real time. It makes experiment analysis easy with clear segmentation and funnels. The detailed event tracking helps with RCA, showing exactly where drop-offs happen. Fast insights mean quicker decisions and better optimizations.
