Must have for Product Managers
What do you like best about the product?
- Very quick to get started - especially if you have a development team in-house. I think for us, we were up and running in a few hours (with some essential first events)
- I feel that I am, for the first time, able to do good, data-driven product management
- There are very few questions on the data I have that I can't answer with Mixpanel. Its highly configurable

What do you dislike about the product?
- It feels like statistical data does not work so well with Mixpanel. With that, I mean data that is not an event from Users - for example, how long an upload takes,...
- It would be great if Mixpanel could also send surveys to customers directly in-app. For example, NPS surveys or similar...then the NPS score could be directly linked to the user in Mixpanel...allowing quite powerful analytics

best and most handy tool to run analytics of saas products in market
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to learn, easy navigation, multiple filters to narrow down metrics of experiments, customizable according to time, and many data metrics, different types of charts to refer to like funnels, charts etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing as such, sometimes data inaccuracy happens, but that is a rare case. It takes time to learn initially, like a week or 2, but once somebody is thorough with the basics then it is easy to operate every day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Measuring the success of experiments of our product, measuring data by knowing the dropoffs at every stage, it also tells about user engagements at every step by time, number of sessions and also the geography of the users.
Easy to use app analytics tool with many options

It's easy to use and get good insights from user events. I think it fits many types of users from non-technical to very technical: it's easy to create logic, filters etc in a wide variety of ways.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a lot you CAN do and I think that the many possibilities sometimes can make it difficult to make a decision of what to do next.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us understand user behavior through even tracking. The analytics templates that are suggested from the start help a lot and we have been able to customize them to our needs and business logic.
Web Analytics Wack-a-Mole, With Limited Capabilities.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Mixpanel is a hosted solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price for the benefit.
Vendor lock-in I felt before Segment came around.
The slow ingestion rate at times of bursty loads and slow-loading or unresponsive reporting.
The Flutter package was not as easy to use as Segment.
Amplitude offers far more streamlined and actionable reporting capabilities.
More employees know how to use Google Analytics.
Some data quality issues at times.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They are doing event tracking that I don't want to implement myself. It helps me to know what users interact with on our site, but doesn't benefit me much.
Mixpanel: The best ever-created product analytics tool
What do you like best about the product?
I love how Mixpanel helps us track and analyze our users' activity on online platforms and mobile applications. The data segmentation tools enable us to gain valuable insights about our clients, which we may apply for marketing or sales purposes. With the demographics gleaned from user activities, it is possible to create cohorts better suited for targeting specific audiences with ads more efficiently. Moreover, its capability of monitoring all kinds of traffic right into individual set levels makes optimizing campaigns much more accessible, assisting marketers in driving business growth faster than ever!
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it challenging to use Mixpanel due to the overlapping filters that can be added to different reports and dashboards. It's often problematic for me to determine what data is displayed since deleting filters from one dashboard may only remove them if they are in other parts of the report.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mixpanel has been integral to our product development process since its inception. The early user feedback we received regarding their activities, any encountered impediments, and preferences were invaluable in helping us evolve the product.
The best product analytics tool out there
What do you like best about the product?
Almost everything about Mixpanel is spot on. It lets you analyze your customer's entire journey while they use the product. It's the best product visualization and analytics tool out there, allowing you to create funnels, trendlines, and retention charts within just a few minutes. They have the best docs to learn product analytics; once you have learned what events and properties are, it just takes a day or two for anyone to master visualization using mixpanel. There is a ton of customization in almost all the charts. Within just a few weeks of implementing Mixpanel with your product, you'll have customer insight that no other tool will be able to provide you with this ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not too fond of three specific things about Mixpanel. One is the price point. It's freakishly expensive and can be a severe bottleneck if the number of events grows. Every time you think of adding a new event to Mixpanel, you will have to decide if it is essential because otherwise, you'll be just using up the allotted event count of the package you are using. Secondly, dashboards could have been a lot better; there is minimal interactivity in dashboards, and Mixpanel could learn from Tableau regarding dashboard capabilities. Thirdly, they sunsetted their customer communication division back in 2020, I don't know why they did it, but it is a severe feature gap in Mixpanel now. Mixpanel already has all the customer journey data. It could easily be used to communicate with customers. Because the feature is unavailable, you need to send the same data to another tool like Clevertap or braze to communicate with your customers. Maintaining two third-party applications and ensuring data is always synch can sometimes be time-consuming and painful for your analytics team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mixpanel helps us understand our customers and their product journey like no other tool can, which has benefitted us immensely. Every product manager uses it daily to know how their feature is doing and how customers interact with their product. It has allowed us to gauge the impact of new features we roll out and make decisions about scaling up or down the feature. It helps us to constantly measure the health of the features that have been live for some time. It also helps us be proactive; if there is any unusual dip in any funnels or trendlines, we know something has broken in the product app without customers telling us about it. This way, we are always ahead of the curve in fixing any critical bugs.
