Mixpanel is the perfect solution for our product analytics use case at Klub
What do you like best about the product?
I like user profiles and the sequence of events it puts for every user to gain insights into their behaviour. We also use group analytics extensively to track the companies who log on to our platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Better connectivity with apps like slack to get a slack digest. We do use the mail digest to send updates to leadership but a slack update will be much more interactive and easy to use. The email digest is also not editable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Mixpanel to get insights into user behaviour. We use such insights to make changes to the user journey. As we are currently at a very nascent stage of our product it helps us make quick decisions by running experiments on our users.

Love the detailed information it provides based on the user id we enter like region of the user, pages viewed, button clicked etc. which is super helpful

the platform is a little hard to navigate since its so vast

We use it for tracking the source of our leads and to understand user journey and make website optimizations based on that information

Easy to create powerful reports, love the option to preview number of events to feel confident in choosing the right event

What do you like best about the product?
The best part about Mixpanel for me is the ability to easily integrate into my website, and the other extension tools provided came in handy. Nevertheless, my best part of Mixpanel would be easy integrations. I also love the user interface which is very easy to use. There are no settings on Mixpanel which I've tried out so far that brought complications or were extremely difficult to use. Mixpanel is a really great tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Even though I use Mixpanel, many times I have to resort to other platforms to do analysis alongside, especially analysis for 3rd party applications we use alongside our platform. I'm hoping in the future Mixpanel can have enough integrations so I can move all my analysis there. At work, we are currently looking to move all measurements and dashboards to a single place, it would be great to have this possible through Mixpanel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mixpanel is our major analytics software, it helped us understand our users, and we were able to identify precise points (features) in our platform where users tend to get bored and drop off. We were able to also reach out to customers who had difficulties signing up, all these insights were possible through Mixpanel. Some time ago as well, we were able to identify potential partners who were coming to our platform. All in all, Mixpanel really helped to track our OKRs and effectively understand where we fell short
Understand your users and your product better with Mixpanel
What do you like best about the product?
Mixpanel allows you to analyze your product and the way customers use it like no other analytics software out there and the best thing is it is so easy to use, you'll learn to use it within 15 days even if you are totally new to the product management or product analytics. Charts and graphs are so easy to read that Mixpanel will automatically train you on the various lingos used in the product analytics world such as funnels, retention, customer flow/journey, etc. One of the best features of Mixpanel is flows, this kind of tells you the opportunity cost involved when the customer takes a separate journey and how you can optimize your conversions properly based on the suggestions from the feature. If used properly, this one feature can alone change your product altogether
What do you dislike about the product?
Mixpanel doesn't have the ability to allow you to communicate with your users. This is a serious roadblock, until 2021 December they had this feature and used to be super helpful if you had to send an SMS/PN to your users based on certain events they are triggering. Mixpanel sunsetted their entire customer engagement vertical starting Jan 2022. Post that you need to maintain two different apps, Mixpanel to understand your customers better because honestly there is no proper substitute for Mixpanel and another to communicate with them. This is both cumbersome in terms of the cost of managing two different services and in terms of keeping them in sync. You need to send the same event to mixpanel and the other service you are using. The second thing that's a bit complicated with Mixpanel is implementing it, even if you took the paid support from mixpanel from implementing it, it still takes a lot of time, and bandwidth and isn't very easy, especially if you are migrating from some other application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mixpanel allows analyzing your customer's journey while they use your app. It gives you a perspective about your product that you did not even know existed. It's one of the most evolved product analytics tools out there. It has benefited me immensely. I have created multiple dashboards for each of my customer journeys and my day starts with looking at them to identify any unusual patterns or trends. This helps us react as soon as any abnormality is identified and fix any critical bugs even before the customer reports it to us. After every feature is released, we analyze the impact of it and discoverability of it using Mixpanel event analytics or funnels. Within a month or so we know the full impact of the feature using mixpanel. Mixpanle has become so beneficial to us that in all our PRDs, product managers have to add a separate section for mixpanel tracking otherwise the PRD is never verified.

Requires a learning curve to ensure you organize it and manage it well, especially if a large team is going to use it.

I like Mixpanel, for the analysis of our data, it improves communication and teamwork between departments.
I can set up our calendar, prioritize our tasks, see what needs to be done right away, and change the calendar as needed.
To keep in touch, the chat feature improves interactions between co-workers and it is useful to share work plans and other information with third parties.

What do you dislike about the product?
Mixpanel Data Analytics performance may vary from time to time depending on the amount of data you are tracking and its size.
Mixpanel Data Analytics is a difficult tool for beginners to understand.
I would like Mixpanel Data Analytics to have features that allow you to combine many projects into one dashboard.
I would like to see the billing area have more customization possibilities.
The search function needs to be improved; sometimes it can be quite difficult to locate a person due to the improper design of the search engine, and the list of users can also be improved.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to create funnels with minimal effort is amazing - it really speeds up our analytics efforts and allows us to understand customer journeys well
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to complain about - the product works well. One thing could be improved on is the time it takes for funnels and reports to load as it sometimes takes more than 30 seconds to load

Mixpanel allows us to understand our customer user journey better. It allows us to gain a view of what is working and not working, what features cause churn and how customers drop out of the journey

Shows us a dashboard of how our app is being used by the users and if any are falling off enabling us to make decisions on various marketing activities that are targeted to a set and defined group
Mixpanel is one of the best product analytics software available in the market right now.
What do you like best about the product?
User analytics is one of the best features which lets me see the behaviour of a user granularly. We also use the Group analytics feature extensively as our users are both Businesses and Customers and Customers representing Businesses.
What do you dislike about the product?
We would need better and easy integrations with slack and other communication and productivity tools such as notion. The mail publishing helps but slack notifications to leadership with reports everyday will be more convenient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mixpanel is helping us to get insights into our users and make decisions from it. We do track most of the events in our DB as well but it is very difficult to collate the data together and make sense of it. On top of it the visualization from these query software like redash is very bad. Mixpanel solves both these problems.
