Great tool for business analysis
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use is the highlight for me. Coming from tools like Power BI and Google's Looker, Mixpanel was a friendlier approach to our business data. Tools like the Flow Report enables coworkers to understand the flow of events on their own, not having to rely on colleagues or boring documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customization of visuals could be better. Not being able to change labels names, colors, or even positions on certain visuals can be a bit frustrating. Secondary axis in line charts would also be a great thing to have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Discovering our user's profiles, what pages of our app they are accessing the most, what are the click-through rates of some of our banners. WIth info Mixpanel provided, we could answer questions about our to-be-developed product.

A must have for product analytics
What do you like best about the product?
As a developer, I find it easy to use Mixpanel for collecting events. Viewing the collected events on their web app is also a very good experience. They handle large amounts of data quite well. Really like how easy it is to filter the events too!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, and this is very minor/nitpicky, it takes a few minutes to see the events collected on the web app. In other words, if an event has just occurred and I refresh the events list, mostly it appears within seconds but I've seen it take a couple of minutes too occasionally. But I don't think that would bother most people.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Product analytics mainly, find out how a certain feature is being used, whether it's helpful or not, things like that. Helps us make decisions based on the data collected.
Building a data-driven team with Mixpanel
What do you like best about the product?
As Product & Design Manager, Mixpanel lets me easily make sense of user activity in a complex flow. It also lets me help non-product colleagues tell their stories with data. As an enterprise SaaS platform, Group Analytics is a great help to our decision-making process. The cherry on top: great customer service!
What do you dislike about the product?
When we started, there were some clunky interaction patterns, but most of them have since been solved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mixpanel helps our product team better align with stakeholders, which allows for greater user advocacy. By tracking key performance indicators, our product team is a catalyst for company growth and improved cross-team collaboration.

Mixpanel is an excellent Analytics tool. In most cases it would be my first choice

-Checks and measures implemented to cater to data governance to ensure higher data quality. For example governance on event properties/user properties to ensure mandatory data is captured

The best product analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Mixpanel offers very robust and easy to use analyrics tool. Setting up tracking is very simple to get started. And when you get the data flowing in Mixpanel offers a wide range of tools to analyse the data. It's easy to build metrics, retention charts, DAU charts and so on.
What do you dislike about the product?
Mixpanel also offers features outside of product analytics such as email marketing which are useful if you just need to send out an email here and there, but I would personally use an email focused product instead.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm using mixpanel to track product performance. We have a dashboard we look at daily that we base our decisionmaking on. Based on this data we shape our roadmap and make tradeoffs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend Mixpanel if you're looking for digital product analytics to answer quantitative behavioral questions like who is using my product, how often, do they return and when, and so on.
Just a delightful experience
What do you like best about the product?
Seamless and intuitive experience, easy to find and discover new features without overwhelming users at the start. It's genuinely fun to use and is a great way to analyse and discover user behaviour. The support is also fantastic
What do you dislike about the product?
The overlap of filters that you can add to individual reports and then dashboards in addition make it difficult to know exactly what data you are looking at sometimes. For example, if you remove filters from a dashboard, but some of the reports in that dashboard have the same filters, you won't know necessarily realise that your filters effectively persist after removing them from the dashboard. For data savvy users this is rarely a problem but it pops up very regularly as an issue with non-data experts
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a data tool and task completion is our primary behaviour to track and improve. We primarily use the funnels and TTC to understand what journeys are difficult or long to use. We recently built a brand new platform to replace our old one and mixpanel gives us the data to definitively prove which experience is easier to use or what still needs to be improved on. Longer term I see mixpanel helping to drive our product strategy by giving us more actionable insight for areas to target

Ability to view user's actions and be able to improve the product. Pipe-line vizualisations. AI-generated insights.

Not so many downsides to mention at this point.
