What do you like best about the product?
It provides very simple / straightforward API integration. I was originally worried about latency when firing events but it's actually that fast and simple
What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboard UI can be quite confusing. Takes a while to find certain things, and the design is unconventional.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Mixpanel to gain insights on what features in our app users like the most. This allows us to know where to improve and where not to worry about improving just yet

What do you like best about the product?
It's very intuitive and anyone can understand how to use it without much guidance from the docs. It's a really easy tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
With a lot of data it does get complicated to understand what's going on (a lot of lines in the graph) and I believe they should simplify it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Trying to understand the usesage of a feature we released, conversion rate, impact of new features on conversion of old features, etc

Mixpanel excels at quickly generating insights, and building simple graphs quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not a whole lot of control over visualisations, colours and presentation as in other tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use this as a general tool to find insights, but don't rely on this to replace visualisation and dashboarding tools, the features are not as powerful as a tool such as Tableau

Great analytics tool to mobile and web based apps

What do you like best about the product?
Mixpanel helps us to know our website visitors and this information is useful for us to improve our website as per visitors' behavior.
We can track all the user's actions or events and analyze their journey from start to end. Also, the report is simple to visualize and process. Flow and funnel are the key feature of Mixpanel to better understand customers and allowing us to make better decisions for the product.
You need to have a good understanding of what needs to be analyzed and I love that because you need to think a lot about the productyou are building and what it means for users and for the team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say the price and the fact that is a bit overwhelming when you start working with it, but I haven't had any other issues with Mixpanel itself.
I also wish there was a better user guide or a step-by -step on how to configure it so we wouldn't spend so much time on the setup phase.
I would love to see more tools that predict user's behavior or that can give you an idea of where the user is pointing at or intending to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding the user journey from beginning to end and where we have bottlenecks on the acquisition funnel. Improve business process agility and decision making. Check metrics based on cohort.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I totally recommend Mixpanel. Once you get over the onboarding phase, it provides meaningful insights about your product and how you can track your user's behaviors

The dashboard is spotless. The reports are easy to configure.

Custom formulas are not easy to configure.

What do you like best about the product?
I mainly use the Insights reports to track how users are using the platform. I love that I can create custom reports and share them with my team. I also the variety of ways I can break down a report. This feature enables me to show more specific data by individual users! Mixpanel makes it easy to download reports to share with clients!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that I could download a full PDF of my reports to share pie charts and bar charts in color with my clients! Right now, anything that overfills a page will not be included in the PDF download and the CSV download isn't as clear of a report!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Mixpanel, the customers in our large purchase orders couldn't see how their users were using the platform. With Mixpanel I can share an array of ways each individual has found our platform useful! This helps us over time with churn and customer satisfaction.

Fantastic tool for visualising user data

What do you like best about the product?
Clean design which makes it easy for me to understand my data. I love the ability to quickly adjust my breakdown analysis within the Insights tool. Having been a user for a couple of years I have seen how much Mixpanel has invested in their website UI/UX. The tools are now a lot clearer to use, in particular I like the fact I do not need to have a background in analytics to understand my data. I can easily share a visual graphic of a particular report and this helps the team make informed decisions. Equally I can export the data as a .csv when I need to share a deeper database of information with analyst colleagues.
I am now starting to explore the Flows and Funnels tools and these are already a lot easier to understand and work with since recent improvements to the graphics used.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently dashboards can only handle simple charts which limits the ability to have a quick overview of my saved reports. I particularly like using the feature for new product releases so having all this data to hand would be useful. In addition it would be nice if the dashboard email reports could handle more reports, it is currently limited and this means I cannot share the full information with my non-Mixpanel user colleagues. Whilst a dislike, I think this will be a feature they will work to improve further in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Mixpanel to review my product feature performance and tweak the roadmap based on actual user behavior within the applications we build. Once we invested in high quality mixpanel properties within our software the Mixpanel tools became incredibly powerful and relevant to my work. For example, the ability to review historical data from how users behaved last year vs. this year is invaluable for measuring seasonal trends and performance.

The limitations are really only with the user as to how far they are willing to invest in the tool as part of their business workflow.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you value your user experience and want to learn more about how your users behave in the applications you build, I would recommend Mixpanel. Once you have set up the Mixpanel events and properties within your software code, you can quickly begin to build a picture of what matters to your users.
You do not need to be an expert in analytics to find value in the tool. For the more advanced features, they have comprehensive support documentation.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how easy it is to create user cohorts.
It's also great how simple of a task it is to implement the tracking of a new event on the backend.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how you can't search by Mixpanel's distinct ID in the users page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're learning about which features in the app our users are utilizing. This is helping us to optimize the way our app is designed.

Easy to set up, even easier to view and analyze data in beautiful dashboards

What do you like best about the product?
Mixpanel makes it tremendously easy to set up trackers in your apps. I used their iOS SDK and it was literally 2 lines of code, and it was up and running. They also provide ample documentation to track exactly the events you want to track.

Once you get in the flow of data, Mixpanel has the best interface to view and manipulate the data. It is easy to set up the exact filters and breakdowns. The graphs are beautiful and can quickly build useful dashboards.

Their mobile app is perfect to see all the dashboards at a glance.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not possible to export out data from Mixpanel, but you can do most of what you want in the experience itself.

The mobile app is limited in seeing all the data, but the dashboard is fine for now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Analytics on Mobile App usage. I can see roboust engagement and retention data, and I can specifically track events that are relevant to the apps that I am building.
