The best product analytics tool for Product Managers

What do you like best about the product?
It is potent and easy to use. It has a great user experience. Once you start getting events, it is straightforward to create funnels, cohorts, dashboards, etc. It is super helpful to troubleshoot user issues. With Mixpanel, I can easily find what is happening and help my user get what they need, or even understanding what should be improved to deliver a better experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not possible to create personalized, quick filters for the dashboards. Having that would make my life a lot easier. For example: quickly switch a dashboard view between Android and iOS/ version A to version B, etc.. (the same as it is possible for dates: today, yesterday, 7d, etc)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mixpanel helps us understand how users are using our product - which features get more users, how fast users adopt certain features or versions. We use the data to drive decisions around our product roadmap and especially to improve conversion funnels.

Mixpanel provides incredible amount of analytical details but needs to be integrated properly

What do you like best about the product?
It gives you a lot flexibility on the type of data that you can analyze. You can setup different cohorts of users (e.g. we set up "power users", "European users", "inactive users") and then compare the different cohorts with respect to how they use your app/website.
The details that you get from the different reporting systems (like insights, funnels etc) is astonishing. You can visualize your funnels, get detailed analytics on how users use a specifc feature in your app, and even do experiments where you compare how well a new app feature was received by your existing users.
What do you dislike about the product?
The integration took a lot of time and almost made us quit at one point. The Mixpanel support were extremely gekofyk with fixing our issues and people from the community would also help if you posted on their community boards. Overall, I think some of the documentation could need more examples, more detailed video tutorials made by Mixpanel. It is possible that the implementation will be easier to others who are used to tracking event analytics before, but we found something difficult to integrate. In the end, we did manage to integrate it and it was well worth the pain. The amount of analytics you get is astonishing and their pricing is not unreasonable. So all in all, I think the benefits outweigh the negatives.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to understand how our users used our app, and be able to follow the user journey from signup, to when they start using the app, to when they convert or become an inactive user. In order to understand the behaviour of your users and track their journey, you will need an analytics tool such as Mixpanel. There are other alternatives, but we choose Mixpanel after looking at their demos which are very easy to understand and use.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Find someone who has implemented Mixpanel before, from Upwork or somewhere similar, and let them fix your integration for you or help out your team members to implement it. This could save you a lot of time in the end.

All of our product usage analytics feeds into Mixpanel. It's helping us dig into how people are using our product and evaluating if the improvements we're making are paying off.

What do you like best about the product?
The general freedom to look at whatever metric I want to look at.
What do you dislike about the product?
The set up time & effort. It would honestly be helpful if there was a preset that helps measure things like signup funnels, WAU, & MAU with minimal effort.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The first thing that mixpanel helped in solving was getting people to actually sign up. We would have fumbled for months if we didn't have mixpanel. Combining mixpanel with something like Hotjar or inspectlet really provides a degree of behavioural clarity that you just can't get unless all your users are sitting in front of you.

What do you like best about the product?
We at Clonk are in love with Mixpanel features and eease of use. We have reports that track how a user uses a new feature of our app. I believe that the Funnels option is the one that helps us the most. We now understand what happens when a user faces a new interface, what's his next step and how did he got there.
What do you dislike about the product?
I thik the only ascept that I am not comfortable with is that the users section seems to show a user's update of his profile instead of his actions (mixpanel.track). We also had a lot of trouble identifying users because our app is a single page app and the people.set code was present at one single view that was not visited as often as we hoped, but we hope to solve this soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to be able to create reports of how people were using our web app. Several clients were asking for insight as to how their employees were using our product but we had no way of whoing that. Mixpanel let's us track even the click of a button. It's a lot of information that comes really handy when creating reports and taking decisions. We were amazed by how incredibly easy and insightful Mixpanel was.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Mixpanel will be easier than you think. Don't miss out on having such a great tool to analyze data. I am sure it will change the way you do business.

What do you like best about the product?
Mixpanel is so easy to use and really helps to gain an in depth understanding of user behaviour and retention. The tool scales really easy alongside your business, meaning it supports the growth of your business really well.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I dislike about Mixpanel.

Mixpanel provides in detail analyses of the full user journey in-app, meaning that we get a full picture of the user behaviour and can understand high engagement and drop off points really clearly. We use Mixpanel data to drive our strategies for growth and ensure sustainable, long-term growth.

What do you like best about the product?
clearly I would mention all the onboarding path. Videos are super clear and all the support articles are nicely written.
tools offeres for quality insurance are also very nice.
G Analytics for analysing incoming traffic and mixpanel for collecting user data seems to me a very nice combo

What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful feature of Mixpanel is the possibility to create reports based on different cohorts. It is also easy for a software engineer to make a report, showing how many times people used a feature. I also like Slack integration, which simplifies sharing
reports with the rest of the company.
What do you dislike about the product?
From time to time, when a report is more complex, Mixpanel needs more time to load required data. It is not a significant disadvantage, considering how much data Mixpanel processes to generate a report. At first, integration with Mixpanel was quite challenging, as we've chosen to connect it via Segment, which didn't allow us to use all Mixpanel features. I would suggest future integrators to use directly Mixpanel SDK.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're splitting our platform users into many cohorts and compare them how they use a product. We've been able to see, which features are frequently used, and which aren't. Thanks to that, we can prioritize our backlog much better.
