Our favorite event based analytics platform
What do you like best about the product?
The best UI for any analytics platform I’ve worked with. This make a huge difference when you need to take screenshots and export charts for other stakeholders.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some functionality is not visible or obvious to new users. Everyday I find a new feature after clicking on something random. Documentation is helpful but not comprehensive
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Find out how our users use our platform.
Great overall, little improvements would take it to the next level
What do you like best about the product?
A lot of customization options are available which really helps with adopting this product. The out of the box reports are helpful when getting started. Their support has been absolutely amazing to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
A few simple improvements would go a long way. More tooltips within the product, more relatable examples around formula capabilities/use cases and some custom labels for graphs would be awesome adds.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's great to be able to see when and how our customers use our product. We'll be able to create baseline utilization metrics, which is very important and nearly impossible without Mixpanel as we don't have a transactional model.
On behavioral product analytics, worse overall than Amplitude, but good proxy
What do you like best about the product?
Easiness of use, email digests, dashboards
What do you dislike about the product?
The usage of dashboards are confusing, it lacks lots of the features amplitude already have
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data integrity for the same product company wise
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are better products out there, I would specially consider Amplitude.
Great tool but takes some time to get the hang of it
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility - you can really set it up to your current needs at the start but then adjust it as your requirements change.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found it a little bit difficult to get used to the logic of how everything's categorised (once all set up and integrated with our system) .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are keeping track of certain engagement levels of end-users. We are surfacing these details via Mixpanel in an easy to understand way
Great analytics platform
What do you like best about the product?
Mixpanel is very easy to use and fast. I don't need to write complex queries or spend much time thinking about how to organize and retrieve the data I need. Building funnels and charts is a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
With simplicity sometimes come limitations. I don't have the same kind of granularity over my data as using a SQL-based solution
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Mixpanel extensively for new feature launches, A/B tests, and benchmarking of data over time. We use it to make test resolution decisions, identify pain points in the customer life cycle, and areas of improvement. We primarily use it in conjunction with our consumer products on web and mobile app.
A fantastic Product Analytics tool for PMs and analysts
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of setup and hit the ground running. The team did a wonderful job helping us start.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the product has become a long way since we started working together. Most of the early usability and lack of product features are resolved now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding our customers, our product performance and A/B test new ideas.
Mixpanel is what you need
What do you like best about the product?
The product changed a lot over the year and it became better at each release.
With Mixpanel I can easily analyse my data thanks to easy report builder and understand *why* my users are coming back and how to increase my retention. The group feature is also a game changer feature. In the B2B space, doing an analysis by user doesn't mean something. By being able to group by organization / entreprise, I really understand the global picture of my data.

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish to be able to leverage more my user data with automated segmentation like "k-means" analysis.
I'm also looking for the life cycle analysis (dormant user, active, resurrected user) that is currently not available.
I'm also looking for the life cycle analysis (dormant user, active, resurrected user) that is currently not available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My main priority is to sell more "self-service" package. With Mixpanel, I learn where user stop in the funnel and what behavior I should push my user to have in order to get the value of my product and buy it.
Mixpanel is a great, versatile platform for learning about your users.
What do you like best about the product?
I think the ways you can view/study/analyze user behaviour is great. You can create funnels to see how people complete a series of actions, break it down by their different attributes, time periods, etc. You can view flows and get an understanding of places people come from and where they go after performing certain actions. You can create cohorts to track and more. It's fairly comprehensive and much of what I do as a marketer is informed/guided by Mixpanel data.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little difficult to know if there is something missing (like an event or attribute), so at times you might not be able to discern certain data. So basically, it's not a perfect, foolproof solution. But as your understanding of Mixpanel improves, you can address those gaps over time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
You can use Mixpanel to identify what your most valuable users are doing. This helps you understand what things to communicate to them, how to better educate them/prime them to use your software/product etc. These are things that you can't always determine through user calls, and especially not at the volume you'd need to make an informed decision.
Powerful product analytics tool enabling data-driven product management decisions
What do you like best about the product?
Intuitive and easy to start. Flexible data structures. Flexible filtering (querying) and charting capabilities. Wide range of out-of-the-box aggregations and data analytical tools. Sufficient flow, funnel, and retention analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
When it comes to product management-related tasks there is too much focus on event analysis and not enough focus on user/object analysis that is not necessarily temporal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Product usage measurement, validating experiments, analyzing product flow/funnel steps to optimize. Analyzing different types of users and how they engage with the product.
Mixpanel
