Second Product Using MixPanel
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of implementation, especially for Unity, has made data collection within our Unity game easy. We need to be able to track the movement of users through a real-time 3D environment, as well as their interaction with objects in that space. MixPanel has saved us a lot of time and development cost.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have to be able to identify and plan each and every event we want to log. I have had experience with other solutions that use a much broader approach to event definition. However, they lacked a lot of the analytical capabilities after the event was captured.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Firstly, we want to track user flows through our application. There is such a variety of paths that can be taken, and so we want to see what patterns emerge from that. So far, we have been able to capture those flows in a couple of unique environments. However, we have many other types of environments yet to test, and so we look forward to being able to aggregate that data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is my second implementation of MixPanel. In the first, there was a lot of slowly stumbling through. Luckily, my organization received a lot of hands-on support from MixPanel, which prepared me to go solo for this second project. The documentation can seema little convoluted, so if this is your first experience with MixPanel, I highly suggest investing in the extra support and really leaning on the community.
I'm already recommending actually. I often describe Mixpanel as GA for further analysis.
What do you like best about the product?
I like to use mixpanel for:
Product adoption funnels analysis
Simple event counting (e.g. how many people clicked on "yes" x how many clicked "no")
I truly like the data visualization interface
And I love that I can share an URL's with query parameters to discuss rapid investigations with my teammates which can see charts even before I save it to a dashboard.

What do you dislike about the product?
I often have to use Google Sheets to add Mixpanel data to a Data Studio Dashboard. I don't like the lack of relations with other sources. I'd love to embed Mixpanel charts in webpages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Mixpanel to check user behaviors.
Whenever I have quick diagnosis to investigate, is one of my first sources.
When I want to validate something, I prefer using in-house DBs

Easy to use, but also really detailed insights!
What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to build and manipulate reports to figure out what's going on with our data. In particular, having a dashboard with a bunch of core reports that my team all works off of–then being able to dive deeper in, comparing cohorts over time or layering in breakdowns to isolate dropoff points in our funnel is extremely useful. Our time to market for new, data-driven experiments has significantly decreased which means we are iterating faster. There are also a ton of useful blog posts and eBooks so we don't get stuck in "business as usual" mode.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are so many new features released (which is great) but it's difficult to learn them all. Some more in-product tutorials or self-serve training for new tools would be useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Optimize our acquisition channels for the highest LTV customers. Better retain customers with limited resources (look for common churn groups and build scalable solutions).
I simply love it!
What do you like best about the product?
As a product manager, I'm able to find insights on my own and be data-driven in what I do.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to annotate the dashboards I created in Mixpanel with my insights.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Mixpanel to explore, prioritize, define, and track success and to get everyone's buy-in.
Easy to find insights!
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is super intuitive - even with a ton of data I am able to pull the insights I need to inform decisions. But the best part is my ability to easily share those insights with others.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sharing insights is an important part of my company's MixPanel experience. The permissions settings are tucked away and often forgotten about. I ran into a situation where I created all my insights & dashboard but didn't want to share until they were complete. When it came time to share I had to individually go into the permissions for each insights to invite. A bulk share/invite users to view all the things I created would be useful
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking usage of our clients on our product. Before MixPanel this data and information was blind to us. Now we can rely on actual numbers vs. qualitative data and feedback on usage.
Awesome product. Awesome support.
What do you like best about the product?
Mixpanel is incredibly quick and incredibly powerful. We've been using it for a few months now and continue to be impressed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like any analytics tool, you need to take some time to set up your event tracking, user properties, etc. However, Mixpanel have some good guides on this and some good demo data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Connecting the customer journey from anonymous website visitors to in-app users.
It's a nice and easy to work with
What do you like best about the product?
I like the most the signal report, I think it's a very powerful tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
the dates in insight are right above the results view or table and it's a little confusing, cause you can also add date as a filter
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
easy way to see retention and churn between different steps in the customer's flow.
you can also see the most common flow your customer's going through.

Who knew data could be so pretty.
What do you like best about the product?
Mixpanel's api for ingesting data is simple, yet advanced. It's easy to see the high-level picture of how your apps are doing, and the detailed picture of how your components are doing. Once you have completed a report, Mixpanel makes it extremely easy to share that report with your other team members with a simple link shortener button. Oh, and also, it's absolutely gorgeous.
Pro tip, if you're looking to visualize data on your own internal applications, perform a query on mixpanel, then copy the request and change the authorization header. You now have the same data mixpanel uses.

What do you dislike about the product?
The documentation for querying data from mixpanel is lacking, but is made up through some simple reverse engineering network requests since mixpanel is built as a single page application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Long term user-retention. AB testing. Workflow optimizations.
In general, our first look into any new feature or change in our application is to open up Mixpanel and see how it is performing.

Mixpanel is great to use, accessible to the whole team and can be refined to easy to read reports.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
What our product needs to develop into - what our company needs to focus on within our funnel and improve those conversion rates.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would say the support needs to be increased - I feel some of the reporting can be hard to nagivate and could do with improvements.
