What do you like best about the product?

I like the friendly UI of Jamf, which enables me to carry out my workflows easily. I also appreciate how it helps maintain uniformity across devices and makes software updates and deployment straightforward.

What do you dislike about the product?

At times I find documentation a bit lacking. I want more in depth information about how certain features work behind the scenes. It was a rocky road because we were trying on-prem first.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Jamf for uniformity across devices, and its friendly UI enables me to carry out my workflows easily.

What do you like best about the product?

The product is easy to use, with a user-friendly interface. It also scales well and offers a good level of granularity.

What do you dislike about the product?

Could do with being able to apply certain restrictions easier.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Management and securing of ipd.

not so much for those unfamiliar with the platform/ moving from other providers

device management & identity across several organisations. providing a better solution than intune

Simple interface and it just works! It has everything you’d need to manage Apple devices at scale.

What do you dislike about the product?

Nothing major, the product is constantly developed and updated to use Apple’s latest management technologies.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Zero touch deployment and SSO integration. Software deployment and device config.

What do you like best about the product?

It manages MacBooks and helps establish a no-touch enrollment process.

What do you dislike about the product?

I find that when I lose the remote connection, it can be quite difficult to re-establish it.

Manage our MacBook estate and allowing an overview of that

What do you like best about the product?

I love how easy Jamf is to use, especially compared to other solutions like Workspace One. The apple-first approach of the company and its products is something I really appreciate. The Jamf Setup Manager and Setup Checklist are really cool and useful tools that integrate straight into Pro, making the whole enrollment and onboarding process easy and automated. We've been able to go from manually setting up devices, which took 60–90 minutes per device, to literally just being able to drop ship them straight to the end user. Jamf is unique in offering these specific tools, allowing me to be more hands-off with devices and focus on actually engineering the platform. The capability of configuring almost everything as code through the Jamf concepts terraform provider is also a big plus.

What do you dislike about the product?

The reporting and analytics function is a little light. The data shown in the GUI is very basic. I am currently having to manually run an API script to pull detailed device usage stats which our BAs are interested in.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Jamf for managing our Mac Estate, applying and configuring policies with ease. It automates deployments with tools like Setup Manager, saving setup time from hours to minutes, and allows me to focus on engineering rather than device management.

The ability to manage all our devices remotely

Once you purchase Pro all the useful bits are chargeable addons

Setting computers and iPads up ready to go for the user

How much control I get of our Mac fleet and day one support

It very quickly becomes a challange managing large numbers of smart groups and polices

PSSO and device registration has solved has been great and allows our users to sign in and get secure SSO access

Good management interface of devices in one place

Some automation not working as expected for policies, seemingly fixed with the latest Jamf products

I like how Jamf makes managing enterprise macOS simple and keeps everything always up to date. The Blueprints and software updates are beneficial for compliance and transitioning to DDM. The initial setup was also very easy, which I appreciate.

What do you dislike about the product?

Better Intune compliance checks. I wish there was an option to force a sync rather than wait for sync.

I use Jamf for managing enterprise macOS, particularly for onboarding and ongoing use. It's simple, always up to date, and helps with compliance and DDM through Blueprints and software updates.
