Its a user friendly tool, which provide versatile range of flexibility in modeling and drafting.
What do you like best about the product?
Colour options are good so that we can easily differentiate in an assembly.
Replace of components is very good to retain previously given constraints, unlike other tools.
Notes and dimensional arrows have good flexibility to provide transparent information in drafting mode.
The alternate assembly feature is excellent for avoiding multiple assemblies.
Hide options are very user-friendly.

What do you dislike about the product?
Update of assembly in draft mode takes lots of time.
The thread feature in modeling mode has to be improved.
Gears and chain creation is part mode has to be implented.
Part labeling or number has to be improved to locate the number of identical parts in a assembly.

Calculations have become very easy and accurate such as bend radius, notches, and bend reliefs in sheet metal.
Conversion of development of sheet metal to Dxf has become easy.
Sectional view and break view are very satisfying for better understanding.

The best thing is tool baar. In which every tool is likely.

I think 2d section where we have to save again again design

Free trail version to be given and cost of the package to be considered to reduce it seems

Solid Edge experience of a Mechatronics Engineer
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about using Solid Edge was that it was effortless to learn it while switching from other commonly used CAD software. The rendering and coloring options were very easy to use, meanwhile giving a lot of flexibility and liberty to the user. Assembly and animation making was never easier before using Solid Edge. I would highly recommend Solid Edge to new as well as expert users.
What do you dislike about the product?
There was very little support available online. Especially there were very few video tutorials available on youtube.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have designed an assembly of a speaker with all the components and assembly designed within Solid Edge. I saved a lot of time because everything was so smooth and straightforward.

Some times icons aren't clear.. needs to be replaced

Before it was difficult to select software for businesses, but now we are able to get recommendations from industry experts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can cover more software and if possible try to get some trial for early users.

Building 3D UI.
Great Visuals and Functionality but little short on varsatality
What do you like best about the product?
The visuals/Graphical performance of the parts and assemblies.
The flexibility it gives in terms of extra detailing in the drawing is great.

It differs a lot than normally and widely used CAD Softwares like SolidWorks, CREO etc. For new users, it would be hard to get the hands on it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have tried doing basic simulation it offers. I also have tried getting master assembly of entire van put together but creating and modifying the different configuaration of it, was hard.
Solid edge is good modeling software

Easy toggle switch to hide or make a part or assembly visible.

Assembly Mating is not easy.
