I enjoyed using Solid Edge as it was quite an intuitive experience
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing about Solid Edge is the ability to easily map out your thoughts and ideas onto the screen with the tools that are available, be it 3D or 2D. The fact that the limited version is free, is what further helped me to continue using this product for my personal work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Solid Edge does not have all the drawing tools that are available in specific other software. Solid Edge also does not have FEA analysis tools. It can also tend to lag if your PC does not have adequate RAM, and I tend to face this issue on my laptop.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to create STL files from solid edge convenievntly, enabling me to bring my design ideas into reality. The 3D tools help me achieve the accuracy for successfully printing 3d models.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely try it, you will be surprised by its ease of use and enormous capabilities.

Solidedge is easier to learn. Graphic is better than other software and it's realistic.
What do you dislike about the product?
Analysis module is not up to the mark. Need implementation in this.

I used soled edge for industrial valve design. Solid edge helped me to show machining area.

Better solver and user friendly, it's good for freshers to understand basic features

If could they offers 2 months trail period that will help students and for others will help

It provides an intelligent CAD platform and that covers the whole PLM cycle.

I like Solide Edge, because it was simpl to use. Easy to find the key features.

If I did a complex machine, I would use other software, like Siemens NX, because that is a "deeper" program.

I can recommend it for simply machine design and an excellent start to understanding the 3D environment.

It is very easy to use while changing the design and working on parts and assemblies from other CAD programs

If any one want to use disfferent CAD file models smoothly then Solid Edge is a good option. I would recommend it.

What do you like best about the product?
The User is allowed to do geometry constraint while sketching. The measurement standard can be selected before the creation of the sketch. The recording option is helpful to make a video of the workspace. 3D drawing is easily done. 3D model drafting into 2D sheets are done easily with all detailed views. Intelligence in the selection of line is helpful when it is difficult to select of line in a sketch.
What do you dislike about the product?
We need to purchase the software from a reseller. Customer support needs to improve problem-solving skill. The software doesn't run smoothly in a low configured workstation. The user interface needs to be improved. The software should not proceed with the next design steps if there is an error in sketching. But still, all in all - we like it :)

Primarily: Very easy to sketch/create mechanical 3D models and 2D documents for our media projects and also on presentations
