I have been using Solid Edge since 2014 and its always have a great experience for in 3d modeling
What do you like best about the product?
The User Interface, and indications, themes, markings, I have been using Solidedge since my college days, and Its so easy to understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not sure what details I can give here.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been using solid edge for designing land-based robots for creating both sheet metal and machining parts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Yes, I would and have been recommending solid edge for my friends.
Solid edge is excellent software with easy to use interface.
What do you like best about the product?
Part modelling & assemblies in solid edge can be done in simplified manner.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of GD&T features are preety complicated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Complicated SPM tools required can be easily designed and drafted with the help of solid edge

Easy to handle and user friendly since I have using it since my college days.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I disliked so far. Maybe I didn't use much of it to find some bugs/something which I could have come across.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Just basic designing for my fixtures for experiments.

What do you like best about the product?
The 2D layout of control panels with new cabinet panel design capabilities would like the most to use. part molding and the assembly modeling like the most and the feature control toolbar get s more info and I get to know it fully to get enhanced in the solid edge.
What do you dislike about the product?
As of now, honestly no idea about it. and the interface is new to me with exp. so need to get into it. few info on the future control and the additional options not so information in my knowledge so that would I need to know more and its application how it would behave if I enable the feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
assembly modeling like big assemblies and its exploding and rendering would be more adding some value here with the use of solid edge. most importantly on the rendering option, I have used other tool that gives me direct info but here am not like the most but I would like to get to know more to use those.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would prefer solid edge to others but as this new others may familiar with the different tools available in the market. I too familiar with other tools like Solidworks CATIA and Creo but it's new to me. once get into its tool its has its own gesture and we may find the ease of i=use and advantage in it.

User friendly & editing is quite easy while comparing to other softwares

Not much customiseable as NX cad but still a good one.

It's pretty easy to generate shapes & we develope testing rigs for machines

Smart dimensions; solid modeling tools; structural simulations; face relate feature; ability to edit design of a component when in assembly mode; ability to hide a component during assembly to see and fit other components easily; assembly modes like flash fit to automatically choose the best fit, other assembly modes which lets user to choose the most appropriate assembly mode such as mate, plannar align, axial align, parallel, connect, cam, gear, tanget etc; ability to add different materials to carry out structural simulations, thermal simulations; has good database for storing different poroperties of materials; already has some popular materials properties required for simulations; easy to switch betwen view modes like front, top, back, bottom, right, left; ability to go for drafting of active model; ability to get different views on drafting sheet like front, top, bottom, isometric, sectional view, broken view etc; easy dimenions marking on drafting sheet.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be better if other simulation features involving permanent magnets, fluids, PCB etc can be incorporated into Solid Edge; which will make Solid Edge a one stop solution for many users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used solid edge to design and draft a generator. I used the STEP file of solid edge to use it in ANSYS magnetostatic simulation to do my research. Drafting in Solid Edge is comparatively easy and user-friendly, and I saved a lot of time with Solid Edge.

Solid Edge is easy and straightforward to learn and can design and draft complicated models with ease.

It is easy to use. Best for beginers and generates veiws very well.
What do you dislike about the product?
No customization of toolbars. No worktree like catia.

Easy to create and assemble parts.

I used Solid Edge at University

I remember it was very user friendly. Easy to learn.

The software was quite expensive at that time.

I used Solid Edge at my University during the course of "Computer Aided Design". I`ve not been using it during my working experience hence I cannot answer to this question.
Solid Edge is one of the best CAD softwares.

Its user interface is wonderful and is very easy to use.

It is fast but not as fast as solidworks

I have been using it for freelance work to design models. I have also used it to create my final year project.

Anyone who is interested in CAD must try solid edge it is a great software offering great flexibility and versatility to its users.
