Solid Edge An interchangeable 3D software
What do you like best about the product?
With the sheet module, using the synchronous wheel, extending, reducing, and modifying measurements in sets of boilerwork and industrial locksmithing has become much more practical and simple, showing excellence in the application of pipes and details such as corners and welds.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is still very complex and limited to switch within the same file: synchronous to ordered, ordered to synchronous. The wallpaper when threads are applied is also not very good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solid Edge proves to be versatile for designing complex parts, with edges, special angles, and molds in the Boolean operation function. A software that allows the choice of the working method before the design is made: synchronous, ordered, or mixed in its advanced operational level, enables designers to choose the method that brings them more speed and quality before the project, with the traditionally ordered option being a light for other designers to also migrate easily to Solid Edge.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Solid Edge is a graphic computing software that caters to all levels in the project cycle, from the conception of 2D sketches for insights to image rendering. For engineering, it is indispensable, uniquely covering parametric models and formulas, thus aiming for designs for mass manufacturing. Its final distinction is unique: Synchronous and flexible for all 3D designers, regardless of their field of expertise.
The best in its class 3D Design Modeling Software
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to experience the best of both worlds. Synchronous and Ordered Modeling, the ease of use and the simple user interface. The options for designing are endless.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing really that i dislike about the software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The challenges that we faced before having a design software we had to second guess all our work. Now we can be assured our design works before sending it to the manufacturing floor.
Solid Edge is always there if we need help. We create complex machinery designs using Solid Edge.
What do you like best about the product?
I find Solid Edge to be easy to learn and use. It has worked to improve performance and they listen to thier custermers with programs such as Beta Testing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Solid Edge needs more raining available online provided by SIemens, they also need to market Solid Edge to more Colleges and Universities. Need to increase thier user base.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Machinery design layouts and viewing space limitations, Creation of large models and allowing us the capbility of colaberating with a large design team.
An Adventure in Discovery: SolidEdge
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoyed the ease with which I could pick it up, coming from Solidworks, it's a different experience, but it wasn't hard to transition.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface can hide a lot of resources, in the future I would perhaps look to more generalized menus, or perhaps different toolbars.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I haven't had many problems, but I've found when I'm training a colleague, it's easy for them to pick up the key controls.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I don't have many, but know what you're getting into, and take some time to learn before starting to use it.
Suited for companies with outsourced parts with no extremly high vertical manufacturing integration
What do you like best about the product?
Starting a new assembly and repedeatedly placing the same components is easy with the built-in capture fit for subassemblies and parts.
Flexibility in part creation with synchronous, sequential and surface modeling.
Bundled Keyshot License.
Flexibility in part creation with synchronous, sequential and surface modeling.
Bundled Keyshot License.
What do you dislike about the product?
Compared to Solid Works and Inventor, the lack of choosing on which level you want to pick the assembly components graphically (sub-assembly completely or its sub-parts).
Selecting is permanently fixed to only parts and sub-parts.
Also, the missing usage of line blocks and layers in part-creating sketches.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In general, we have 3 cases:
- designing hydraulic power packs and valve block assemblies in 3D
- creating the hydraulic schemes in drafts with our self-made hydraulic symbol library
- modeling tube paths for our CAM bending machine
Sometimes, we use its modeling capabilities and bundled Keyshot-License for rendering product images.

Best professional engineering designing software especially for mechanical Engineers
What do you like best about the product?
The solid edge is a professional designing software which helps us to design our products with confidence in 2d and we can convert the 2d file into 3d for visualization. The designed product is also analysed in the software to avoid the risk of error. Which will be a great helpful
What do you dislike about the product?
The software needs to more user friendly and increase customisation facilities. Other than this issue we have nothing to dislike about the software. It does the job very well
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems that helps to solve with solid edge are design and analysis of the product. We are designing the product in 2D and converting it to the 3D for the visualisation to check how the product appears in actual case. By the analysis of design through solid edge software we can avoid errors during the manufacturing stage.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a software to design mechanical engineering design go for it
Best 3d software for die segment
What do you like best about the product?
It is very useful for die part making industry, it solves many doubt automatically and save times.
What do you dislike about the product?
It requires some basic knowledge regarding how to use features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving problems regarding die of casting or bending parts. It gives real time solution with some basic skills.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend to use for die making of parts, it is very useful and fruitful.
Edge technology for 3d modelling
What do you like best about the product?
It is a reliable competitor to SolidWorks; both have similar functionalities in comparison, but solid edge beats it in some areas and functions like frame analysis and surface modeling.
What do you dislike about the product?
In context, graphical view and menu-driven are suitable for end-user, but it's challenging to use and work a fresher due to its complex interface to work required proficiency.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Excellent in frame analysis and done many ground support equipment structural analysis and modeling.Due to its functionality and file system or structure used for complex wind towers-lattice section modeling.
