Solid Edge 2022 is Fantastic
What do you like best about the product?
Solid Edge helps us keep our projects and parts moving forward at a very quick pace. We are able to efficiently go from idea to machine shop in a short amount of time because of Solid Edge.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't as much training out there available for Solid Edge as there might be for other software packages. Although if you are familiar with one CAD system you can usually pick up another quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving problems we didn't know we would have because of our preliminary designs in Solid Edge.

3d framework and als2d drawing are best part.

Not have too much option like catia and creo

Yes definitely
Solid edge is quite easy to use and satisfy most of expectation for product development.

lack of certain advanced features, such as advanced curve/surface.

Solidedge is our major CAD software tool, which it's used to do mechanical design and simulaiton

Cheap in price and easy to understand the commads.

Not that much use of software like catia and creo

Commands available in assembly mode is very reliable and easy to understand

None that come to mind. My lack.of knowledge is the only thing holding me back

Designing brake components. I need to start using all features that solid edge offers

Solid Edge has a command bar that helps to use any command in the program; that's way learning curve is very fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
In synchronous environment, the program may run unstable and unpredictable and can be frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In college, students say this is the most accessible software to make a part, assembly, drafting. It's very useful for top-down and bottom-up assembly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are many CAD software, but Solid Edge is the more friendly.

What do you like best about the product?
For me, they represent a family of products that integrate with each other, allowing you to make the most of it when creating intelligent designs, with a pleasant interface, intuitive and customizable software.
What do you dislike about the product?
As with everything, there is always room for improvement. I hope Siemens updates the electrical design tools. The integration with mechanical design is fantastic, but it still needs improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lightweight software and its capabilities represent a significant reduction in time, synchronous technology allows me to work comfortably, while data management simplifies project reuse.

More than 20 years of design on the job and off
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Only use software with fixed licenses. With rental licenses, you own your data only as long as you pay rent. After that, you give your data out of your hand.

Synchronous Technology. Not my cup of tea. I feel like the learning curve is too high

Sheet Metal Design, Frame Design, machined parts, etc. I have found that it makes my designs more robust and accurate
