20 years using SolidWorks, 3 years using Solid Edge
What do you like best about the product?
Eventually, you can kind of do what you want. I 8 years it will have features that are now in SolidWorks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Assembly patterns. Assembly exploded views. Multibody design in part files. Top down design. Updating linked parts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can do my work for the most part, it just takes longer than I can do the same thing is SolidWorks.

Solid Edge is getting better and better through the time.

Solid Edge is a superb tool for my day-to-day job being a mechanical engineer.

New product design helps us to figure out issues. easy to train users.
Best in class software for dynamic and creative design
What do you like best about the product?
Synchronous wheel and the capacity to draw a rough geometry that I will later be able to refine and modify according to its environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no deal breaker for me, even if some new modules like wiring and inspector need further refinements.

It enables us to cooperate with almost any third-party software owned by our customers and providers and gives us a lot of flexibility to integrate quickly components in our assemblies.

What do you like best about the product?
It is not only used for designing but also for different types of analysis and simulation. The built-in designs of fasteners is added advantage, it saves a lot of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface is not as friendly as some of the other softwares. The display of many functions on the screen at a time causes confusion among beginners. It would be the best software for me if this could be changed!

Solid Edge eradicates the use of any other software in a manufacturing industry. It can be used for designing, manufacturing, simulation and analysis of models. This especially helps MSMEs to cut costs, avoiding the subscription to different software.
