Finally a push notification service that doesn't overcomplicate everything
What do you like best about the product?
The free tier is genuinely useful, most competitors lock basic segmentation behind paid plans but OneSignal gives you enough to run real campaigns without paying anything. The dashboard is clean, setup took maybe 20 minutes for our first integration, and the delivery rates have been consistent. API documentation is actually readable which is rare.
What do you dislike about the product?
Analytics could go deeper, you get open rates and click rates but attribution gets murky if you're running multiple campaigns simultaneously. The free tier email limit feels a bit arbitrary compared to what they give you on push. Customer support response time is slow unless you're on a paid plan.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Needed a reliable way to re-engage users who visit once and leave. OneSignal handles the entire push notification layer so we're not building that infrastructure ourselves. Conversion on reactivation campaigns went up noticeably after the first month. For a small operation it removes a whole technical problem without adding a significant cost.
Such a good tool, for such a price
What do you like best about the product?
The free plan is insane, offers everything you could ever need.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, nothing to dislike honestly. The free plan is insane, the paid is maybe a lot better, but i have not tried it yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It took a while to start campaigning with other tools. Not with onesignal.
Comprehensive Push Notification Solution with Effective Audience Targeting
What do you like best about the product?
The segmentation engine allows precise audience targeting based on behavioral and demographic data. The dashboard provides clear visibility into campaign performance metrics. API integration is straightforward and well-documented. Multi-channel support simplifies campaign management across push, email, and SMS.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing structure becomes less favorable at higher volume tiers. Some advanced features require navigating multiple menu layers. Analytics reporting could offer more customization options for specific use cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Eliminates the need for managing separate notification platforms. Provides unified audience insights across all communication channels, enabling more effective targeting and consistent messaging strategies.
Enterprise-Grade Multi-Channel Messaging Platform with Strong Delivery Performance
What do you like best about the product?
Comprehensive audience segmentation capabilities enable precise targeting across user demographics and behavioral patterns. The unified dashboard streamlines management of push notifications, email, and SMS channels. API documentation is well-structured and integration is straightforward for development teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
User interface could benefit from modernization. Advanced workflow automation requires significant setup time. Analytics granularity is limited compared to enterprise competitors in the space.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Consolidating multiple notification platforms into a single solution reduces operational overhead and improves message consistency. Centralized audience management ensures cohesive customer communication strategies across all channels.
Great for team communication, clunky integrations
What do you like best about the product?
Fast, reliable, and the interface is clean. Search actually works. Thread organization keeps conversations readable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Expensive for larger teams. Too many notifications by default. Third-party integrations are hit or miss.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralizes team communication so you're not jumping between 5 different apps. Reduces email overload. Works.
Onesignal helped me gain more subscribers
What do you like best about the product?
The dashboard is intuitive and getting started is straightforward. Segmentation tools work well for targeting specific user groups, and the API documentation is actually readable. Multi-channel support (push, email, SMS) from one platform saves time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Analytics could be more detailed, would love better cohort analysis and attribution tracking. The pricing scales weirdly at higher volumes. Also, customization for advanced use cases feels limited compared to competitors. Webhook reliability has been spotty in my experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Replacing multiple notification tools with a single platform saves on integration overhead. The main win is unified user segmentation across channels — instead of managing separate audiences in push, email, and SMS, you handle it once and push to all channels. That reduces manual work and keeps messaging consistent. The biggest benefit is campaign tracking across touchpoints, so you can actually see which notifications drive engagement instead of guessing.
Scalable, Reliable, and Essential for App Retention
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is incredibly user-friendly and straightforward. From the moment you log in, the interface is clean and intuitive, making it easy to navigate through the different features without any steep learning curve. Setting up a basic campaign takes almost no time at all, and the dashboard does a great job of guiding you through the process so you don't feel lost or overwhelmed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because the interface focuses so much on being simple and streamlined, some of the deeper, more advanced settings can feel a bit tucked away. While the simplicity is a huge plus for daily tasks, it sometimes feels like you have to trade off a bit of granular control to keep that clean look. It’s a minor trade-off, but something to get used to if you're coming from more complex tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the complexity of cross-platform delivery by giving us one central hub. It benefits me because I no longer have to write custom code or manage different API keys for every platform; I can just set it up once and it "just works," which frees up my time to focus on actual app features.
