Best of Both Worlds

What do you like best about the product?
OneSignal's documentation is among the best I have ever encountered. The user experience is elegant, up to date, and vast while remaining easy to find the answers you're looking for. The journey is succinct and logical thus keeping information overload and questions to a minimum. As a developer, the API documentation is by far the best I have ever used. The cohesiveness between user docs, developer docs, and the product itself is seamless.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see more features provided with the free plan, especially in the Message Personalization area. This would make it better to build feature rich working demos for clients.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My client has a set amount of donors that is decreasing with time, yet their website's traffic does not reflect this. We are in the process of expanding the OneSignal features that we leverage, however, utilizing OneSignal's push notifications and custom programming, we are able to reverse this negative trend.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about OneSignal is how easy it is to get started while still being powerful enough for real projects. The setup is straightforward, even for a static website, and the dashboard is clean and intuitive.

Sending push notifications is quick, reliable, and doesn’t require constant backend work. For a site that depends on timely updates, this makes a huge difference in user engagement. It feels like a tool built for developers who want things to work without unnecessary complexity.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, there’s nothing major that stands out as a drawback. Most of the features we needed worked as expected, and the setup process was smooth. Any small learning curve was covered well by the documentation, so it didn’t become an issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OneSignal solves the problem of reliably reaching users after they leave the website. Without push notifications, important updates like new job posts or announcements can easily be missed.

By using OneSignal, we’re able to notify users instantly when something new is published, which improves engagement and return visits. It removes the need to build and maintain a complex notification system ourselves, saving time and allowing us to focus more on content and product quality.

well for now i haven't really seen any dislikes. the website was slow but i figured it was my network.

What do you like best about the product?
I can draft a message, pick who should get it, and it’s live in seconds. The preview tools are also super helpful, I always know exactly what users will see.

No real complaints so far. Everything works smoothly for the scale I'm at.

Notifications feel personal, not spammy

What do you like best about the product?
I really like how targeted the notifications can be. Instead of spaming everyone with the same message, I can send updates only to users who actually care about that feature or category. It makes the communication feel more thoughtful and less intrusive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I wish the dashboards were even simpler, but that’s more about me than the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps me keep users engaged without overwhelming them. By targeting the right users at the right time, I’ve seen fewer uninstalls and more returning users. It basically solves the problem of how do I communicate without annoying people
