Seems to do it all
What do you like best about the product?
I like that PostHog has integrated many of the commonly useful *Ops tools into a single solution with a single method of code integration. All of the tools seem to hit on major functionality compared to other tools on the market. Of course, all of this comes down to value for dollar, and PostHog is succeeding at letting me scale the cost of these tools, alongside my usage.
What do you dislike about the product?
With a large number of tools, letting non-technical users find value is always a challenge.
A little more specific. I would like to see PostHog most directly support OpenFeature (feature flags). There is an open source project but I can't tell if PostHog is involved with that project.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using PostHog to analyze user behavior in order to validate that engineering efforts are achieving user-behavior driven outcomes. This is a huge benefit as it allows us to validate user behavior naturally as users utilize our web application.
Best analytics tool
What do you like best about the product?
It is free and I could easily get started with it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Little overwhelming, difficult to understand what to do in dashboard, or what all matrix to track.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I primarily wanted to know how many users used my website, and if they are facing any issues related to UX, and surprisingly how where I wanted to make users click, they were not clicking, from session replays I found out that users are kind of lost and don't know what to do... So I immediately changed the UX.
I like it
What do you like best about the product?
The screen recordings are very helpful and cool
What do you dislike about the product?
a bit overwhelming dashboard without how much clarity on how to do things or verification to know things are set up properly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
getting heat maps and basic web analyirics
Using Posthog for Multiply has been amazing
What do you like best about the product?
I love the session replay feature. It has helped us reduce customer churn by figuring out pain points very quickly. Onboarding was also extremely efficient we were able to get it working in our react app in < 10 minutes
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the pages feel clunky. You can always find what you need but it doesn't have the best UX.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly centered around reducing churn. We're a very early stage startup so figuring out what is going wrong and right on the customer journey is important. The session replay has been by far the most important feature in this, I love it
modern but cool product
What do you like best about the product?
like the simplicity and easy setup wizard. everything was kinda seamless.
What do you dislike about the product?
i added our postgres database as a source to the data pipeline but i couldnt figure out how to use the source at first so that was a bit off putting for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
the main things we use posthog for are error tracking, session replays and analytics and posthog does all of these really well. it even lets us filter out test and internal users which is great.
Solid
What do you like best about the product?
Detailed analytics - for all pages in our onboarding flow
What do you dislike about the product?
initial learning process for entire team could be easier
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
conversion in our funnel for marketing
All-in-one analytics that actually delivers on its promise
What do you like best about the product?
What impressed me most about PostHog is how it successfully combines multiple tools into one cohesive platform. After trying it for my new SaaS project (following Theo's recommendation), I found that I no longer needed separate solutions for different analytics needs. The landing page analytics provide clear, actionable insights without overwhelming me with data, and the LLM observability features are a game-changer for those of us implementing AI functionality.
The generous free tier is genuinely useful - not just a limited demo. It gives you enough functionality to properly evaluate the platform and even use it productively while you're in early stages. Coming from a background using Sentry and Google Analytics, I appreciate how PostHog eliminates the need to juggle multiple tools and subscriptions while providing deeper insights than either of those platforms alone.

What do you dislike about the product?
While I'm still in the process of finishing my product and haven't explored all features in depth, the initial learning curve was steeper than expected. Some of the more advanced features require time to understand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PostHog solves several critical problems for my developing SaaS business:
First, it eliminates tool fragmentation. Before PostHog, I was juggling Google Analytics for web tracking and Sentry for error monitoring, with no good solution for AI observability. Having everything in one platform saves me time, reduces cognitive overhead, and provides more cohesive insights across different aspects of the product.
Second, it gives me visibility into AI feature performance. The LLM observability tools help me understand how users interact with our AI components, where they get stuck, and how to improve prompt engineering - problems that traditional analytics tools simply weren't built to solve.
Finally, PostHog's generous free tier allows me to implement professional-grade analytics early in my product lifecycle without committing significant resources. This means I can make data-driven decisions from day one rather than flying blind until I have the budget for enterprise tools. As I finish building my product, I'm confident that the insights from PostHog will help me launch with a more refined, user-focused experience.
