PostHog – Best Open Source Analytics
What do you like best about the product?
I personally like its Web Analytics and Product Analytics features, as they allow me to track users on my site and identify any issues they might encounter. Which results in overall better experience for my users.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a bit overwhelming at first because it offers a lot of features, such as session replay and event flags. You’ll need some time to understand how everything works and what each feature does.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My favorite part is the product analytics, which allows us to analyze how users engage with our platform so that we can enhance their experience. We can make better data-driven decisions with event-based tracking, session recordings, and feature flags all without the need for guesswork.
Products appear great, zero communication to questions is very frustrating

I like that they seem to offer a fairly extensive way to run a/b tests.
I was using Firebase before and decided to migrate to what seems like a better product and to try and reach the Chinese market, which is not possible with Firebase.

What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the lack of documentation around setting up an experiment for iOS. I have been unable to get any answers on how to set the condition of app version and have to run an experiment not knowing if it was setup correctly or not.
I was told that an engineer would get hold of me up to 48 hours later but I never heard anything.

It is hopefully going to help solve whether a feature update or change is actually beneficial to my business.

What do you like best about the product?
One stop shop, great session recording with option to setup and filter by user actions

So for none, I'm still learning the platform

I'm able to use Posthog to learn more about the usage using sessions recording and anayltics, it's allow me to see how my features perform and gather feedback

What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to integrate across all my applications. I love the web analytics and how easy it is to track the users journey. Session replayes have helped me alot in identifying bugs or issues in my ui flows. Overall my experience has been great and made sure PH is one of my daily apps.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be pretty hard for new users to navigate the app as its very broad in features. But once you get the hang of it it's smooth sailing from there.

We can manage anylitics more efficiently without relying on multiple apps to get the same result.
Very useful but slightly overwhelming tracking tool

Easy to install and fun to use. I really like their hedgehog mascot. They offer tutorials for all kinds of integrations which is nice.

Not all metrics were easy to understand.

It helps me better understand who and how many people visit my site, how they use it and if they return.

One of the best software for product analytics and monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
We love its comprehensive product analytics capabilities combined with its exceptional ease of use. The platform excels in providing session replays along with feature flags and cohesive A/B testing.

Some advanced features have a steep learning curve, but once you master them, they're a breeze.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We analyze the customer behaviour using Posthog Session Replays and it helps us in understanding customer need. This helps us in shaping our product. We also get data analytics for A/B testing of our new launches.

Ability to view visual interaction of user.

Delay in seeing the session, i would prefer to see very recent sessions to act on it ASAP.

It shows you the user expeireince and helps us solve un-anticipated problems or bugs that are available in some environments.

It is simple to setup and they provide a lot under their free tier

You can tell their primary and first market was the web and mobile hasn't gotten the same level of support/features
