The best option for early stagers
What do you like best about the product?
Implementation/integration is easy and there are plenty of useful features, like removing test data and clutter, recordings, surveys etc. Never had to use customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is a bit heavy, there should be also more guidance for using the dashboard. It could be more product-team-friendly. So be aware of using it if you are not technical at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Tracking what user do and values on my applcation
- Gathering useful data for bug squashing
- Giving insights about user behaviour

Open-source flexibility, though its steep learning curve and occasional performance hiccups
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that PostHog is open source and highly customizable, it gives complete control over your data while offering robust features like session recordings and event tracking for truly data-driven decisions.
Its search is good, specially the adding any custom on our own feature.

What do you dislike about the product?
a steep learning curve, i experience downtime once, slowness in watching video sessions and the UX around the video player
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
After our customer reports an issue, we followup the trace to solve and posthog helps us with the session replays to understand and reproduce the issue better
Session Replay is awesome
What do you like best about the product?
I was able to get PostHog to work in a Kotlin Multiplatform app. After setup, I was able to see how my users perceive the app, what visual bugs they run into, etc.
I like that it shows taps, and logs too! i was not expecting to see logs from my apps along with the videos.

What do you dislike about the product?
Hmmmm, it was a bit complicated to setup, but it wasn't terribly difficult.
It seems like there are a number of other great features too, but I don't want those just yet.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ensuring that the design / words / text element spacing our international users see is high quality UX / UI on their mobile devices.
Better than expected!
What do you like best about the product?
Session replays are super useful, didn't realise this was all possible. Assumed Google Analytics was the best, tried Posthog on the off chance and was pleasantly surprised.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little overwhelming, it's fairly easy to find what you need but there are a lot of other options I'm still yet to explore.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Showing which parts of my site get the most engagement and grab the users attention, but also where they're coming from and what kind of audience I have.
Good Experience with Posthog
What do you like best about the product?
The free tier is very useful and have a lot of tools to improve tha analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like that UI is a little confused, so much details in the screen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PostHog is being like a tool to replace a lot of another in one. For example: I can use the analytics metrics like as Google Analytics, session replays like as Hotjar and Web Vitals like as Google Lighthouse.
Posthog is powerful, efficient and adorable
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, pricing, session replays and features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much, honestly. If i have to pick something it would be that I found it a little hard to use HogQL (their version of SQL) but that was probably a skill issue on my part.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Posthog for three different things:
- Product analytics
- Session replays
- Feature flags
It is super easy to create dashboards, insights, and to share them as public or private links with the company.
Session replays help us identify UX problems and the debugging process.
Feature flags allow us to roll out features based on user attributes, a percentage of users, or event turn features off entirely.
The pricing is also really good. Recently, we've started incurring payments for session replays, but we've come a long way in the free tier.
The setup process and docs are amazing! Can't recommend enough.

Powerful all-in-one analytics
What do you like best about the product?
What I love most about PostHog is its all-in-one approach to product analysis. Being able to track user behaviour, conduct experiments and create custom dashboards all in one place is a game changer. The interface is user-friendly enough for me to dig into ideas quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the difficulties I've had with PostHog is the learning curve for new users - it can be a bit steep because of the range of features available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PostHog solves the complexity of understanding user behaviour across multiple touchpoints by providing a unified platform for tracking, analysis and experimentation. Having event tracking, funnel analysis and experimentation tools in one place makes it easy to spot bottlenecks and test solutions quickly.
The smoothest experience ever!
What do you like best about the product?
Powerful feature set, simplicity, good documentation
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing :) It’s awesome and the best tool out there
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking website performance, creating funnels, web analytics, llm monitoring and analytics
product feels a bit intimidating
What do you like best about the product?
recording user's screen on visit, super quick and easy to setup and view
What do you dislike about the product?
A/B testing experiments, don't feel quite as intuitive to setup in the dashboard as other features
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
since we are working on a product that is relatively new to the industry, we don't quite know what user would percieve that and which features they might tend to gravitate to, so that's where posthog comes super handy
Nice Analytics tools with a custom query language and quizzes, A/B, session recordings out of box
What do you like best about the product?
Nice Analytics tools with a custom query language and quizzes, A/B, session recordings out of the box. It is also cheaper than a lot of competitors
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much, it is just good, the setup was easy
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Udenderstanding what happens in the app from the user prospective, seeing the conversions and what users struggle with
