Well-structured - I'm a wedding photographer and I managed to use it!
What do you like best about the product?
As I mentioned, I'm not in IT or some field related. I managed to install PostHog on my starkovsky.ro website pretty fast, without any help and I could make sense of the visits instantly. Lou-and-behold, within minutes I had people using my website from Cluj and some other cities - which I didn't even know that they used it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, really. I'd say it's weird that it's free... but I heard it's open-source so props to the org.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can now track my website visitors, see what they look at and improve my portfolio.
Powerful, affordable, well-structured analytics
What do you like best about the product?
- Easy to set up
- Powerful out of the box, especially with the automatic data point collection
- Affordable for a long time

What do you dislike about the product?
- The many, many types of analytics can get confusing to use all together
- Creating custom events is tricky

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing web and product analytics for software products. It benefits me by providing me informatio about how people are using my software, so I can build it better.
Analytics made easy for dummies
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is so simple and intuitive. All the data is easy to understand. I tried other tools in the past and I was about to give up. But I DO need analytics. Posthog makes it so easy for people that are busy in their business, that it is very fun to come back to the platform to see what happened during the day
What do you dislike about the product?
Absolutely nothing. Everything is easy to use
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having clear data about people using the website. Behaviour form different devices. The session replay is great to see what happens!
Simple installation, excellent tooling and broad feature set
What do you like best about the product?
Wide breadth of feature set all in one place is excellent. Making it easy to integrate into a HIPAA compliant platform is also a huge plus
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the documentation on installation steps is a bit stale and/or at times between two parallel set of documentation (e.g. Next.Js installation and Sentry integration in Next( there are gaps between the two when there should be 1:1 overlap
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easily configurable feature flags and event capture
Very good onboarding guide, UI and auto instrumentation.
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is very intuitive and finding what you are looking for is generally easy. Even in the case of a frontend error I was presented with a message that verified that the error event was captured and would be looked at by engineers which made my experience feel heard.
What do you dislike about the product?
The product has a lot of features and while it does an ok job at surfacing them, as a begginer I was overwhelmed by the sheer number of them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Posthog helps us capture events related to our product and analyze them over time and by user groups
Next Level Analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Video replays of users' mouse movements while visiting my site are amazing for figuring out where your ux and layout needs tweaking.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found anything to dislike about the product YET!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Distrust in Google for privacy was the main problem that drove us to look at alternatives. PostHog fixes that, and then pile on a whole lot more to love.
Best analytics software i used
What do you like best about the product?
PostHog is great software, better than Google analytics. I appreciate the simplicity and many features (surveys, session replay...)
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found anything that bothers me yet
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thanks to PostHog I have an overview of how users use my web application.
Netflix for Product Folks
What do you like best about the product?
PostHog has completely changed the way I understand user behavior on my site. The session replay feature is like binge-watching user interactions – it’s as engaging as a Netflix series, but with way more actionable insights. I literally watch every day how users navigate, where they click, and what might be causing them friction. It’s one thing to see metrics on a dashboard, but it’s on a whole other level to watch actual user sessions play out. It’s like having a front-row seat to understand what’s working and what’s not, and it’s made improving the user experience faster and more intuitive. By the way, It's free easy to integrate (in seconds) and opensource - I can just use PostHog for all things analytics and beyond instead of various analytics tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I find challenging about PostHog is that, with so many features available, it can feel overwhelming at first to figure out where to begin. It’s not always clear which tools I should use for specific needs, and I’ve had to take some time to understand how each feature aligns with my goals. A bit more guidance or onboarding for new users would make the experience smoother.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PostHog solves several key problems for anyone looking to understand user behavior deeply and improve their product experience. First, it gives me a full view of user actions through session replays, heatmaps, and event tracking, which means I can easily spot areas where users might struggle or drop off. (Example: I got to know why i'm not getting newsletter subscribers and made a change and signups started rolling).
Additionally, PostHog’s analytics are all-encompassing, which means I no longer need multiple tools to analyze user interactions, A/B test, or track metrics. Having everything centralized saves time and gives me a clear, holistic view of what’s happening on my site.
The biggest benefit is the ability to make data-driven improvements much faster. Instead of guessing what users need or reacting to issues after they escalate, I can proactively address problems as soon as I see them play out in user sessions. This ultimately helps improve user satisfaction, which is crucial for retention and growth.

Easy, inexpensive, and well made
What do you like best about the product?
Posthog has a very charming site and brand that is woven into everything and it makes it simple to use and understand. Google Analytics sucks to use, PostHog is easy. I've tried other very expensive options that start at $500/month and you get more or less the same stuff for free with PostHog. They've got lots of features to explore that I haven't got into yet, but they are a must on every new project I start. I've seen tons of other folks always mention PostHog as their go to and they aren't wrong! Not only is it easy to integrate and implement, I get emails here and there saying they've lowered the prices on new features!
What do you dislike about the product?
The web replays can start to add up after you get a lot of them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can actually understand and easily look up analytics.
Best in class onboarding with features and pricing to match
What do you like best about the product?
Having a set of complimentary services all withing a single provider that you can progressively adopt as you grow into the need makes early product development so much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not found anything so far they have everything I have needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to safely make changes across our products while also being able to assess the impact and success of these changes. Previously this was two if not three seperate products each with higher costs and effort to integrate.
