What do you like best about the product?
I like the auto instrumentation for web/mobile applications. This helps me get all the baseline events for the team to use

Hmm, I would say as a consultant it is hard sometimes to get non product people to understand the platform. Which is honestly more so their issue and they shouldn't be the ones paying for this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PostHog is helping with event collection and showing valuable analytics quickly for startups that I am helping out.

Versatile Solution for Both Small Businesses and Enterprises

  • December 29, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As the owner of a digital services agency, I appreciate PostHog from two distinct perspectives. Many of my clients find significant value in their free tier, which offers high-quality features, while some of my larger clients rely on PostHog for complex configurations that other applications are unable to support. I value PostHog's versatility, as it provides substantial benefits to small businesses and is also a top choice for larger enterprises.
What do you dislike about the product?
The configurations can be quite complex, and I also find it difficult to calculate the pricing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PostHog provides dependable analytics and supports advanced A/B testing setups, making it a useful tool for handling more complex experimentation needs.

Powerful User Insights, Needs Clearer Documentation

  • December 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like PostHog most for its user recording feature. It was quite a revelation because I didn't even realize I could do that. The user recordings are super useful, allowing me to see what users do and click on, and helping me understand where they're confused. The analytics component is also good enough for my needs, helping me understand my customers and what issues they face when using my product. I think it's nice for a language learning product that's still small. Overall, I find these features helpful in achieving my goals.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm really confused about user recordings not being consistent. If I see seven unique visitors, I expect seven recordings, but that's not happening. I've been searching on Google and asking PostHog's support but still don't get it. The explanation about merging didn't really clear it up because I think every session should be recorded. Also, I'm not sure how to bulk delete user recordings right now. I dont see any unique button I can click to delete that shows up when I select all the recordings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PostHog provides essential user analytics and recordings, helping me understand my customers and their issues, boost product goal achievement, and see where users may be confused, which helps increase conversion rates. Additionally it helps provide insight into errors that occur on the frontend.

What do you like best about the product?
Everything I’m looking for regarding product analytics in one place. It’s super easy to understand my product KPIs, track revenue, and egress data back to my db.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface upon onboarding was a bit overwhelming. Left sidebar, main page content in the center, and then docs on the right. Other than that, really straight forward to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Event tracking, funnel analysis, dau, and revenue tracking

Comprehensive Analytics with a Fun Twist

  • December 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find PostHog easy to use, which makes things run smoothly for me. I really like their 'humor injected' style; it adds a fun element to the experience. The session recordings are immensely useful for analyzing user behavior. I also appreciate having everything in one place instead of bouncing between different SaaS. We switched from Amplitude because PostHog offers more things in the same place, not just analytics, and it has better overall pricing.
What do you dislike about the product?
We like self-hosting but the self-hosted license is too restrictive. We were expecting that PostHog is free if you self-host, but it's actually a tiny part of PostHog Cloud - makes it not viable. Seems more of a marketing play than an actual offer. The setup is fairly easy but could be improved, especially with the creation of events.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use PostHog for web and product analytics, keeping everything in one place instead of bouncing between SaaS tools. It's easier to use, and session recordings are immensely useful for analyzing user behavior.

A pretty great analytics platform

  • December 22, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
PostHog was straightforward to integrate, open source, and affordable for our requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface is confusing and requires some time to get accustomed to, but aside from that, I have no complaints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use PostHog to monitor how users engage with our application, and what I appreciate most are the various options for visualising the data and segmenting users into different categories.
