Easy to use, full of features

What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity that allows you to add and integrate a single feature in your applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I started usign PostHog it was quite difficult to understand all the features. Some of them are very similar.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thanks to Session Replay you can understand how users behave and navigate within your application, without asking them.

Excellent platform for product data analytics

What do you like best about the product?
We love the session replays, feature toggles and product data analytics. The free tier is fair and we're looking forward to PostHog helping us understand our users and grow our business. The fact we can have data analytics, feature toggle, session replays and a/b testing (not tried this yet) in one platform is fantastic and I feel like we're just seeing the tip of the iceberg with what we can do. Integration was very easy with JS snippets for Google Tag Manager, or React/JS libraries for the frontend and server side for feature toggles and a/b testing. We get it implemented very quickly and immediately saw the benefits of from all the data we're gathering. The customer support was great too, as they helped us just record session replays on certain pages to keep within their free tier
What do you dislike about the product?
There's very little to dislike, the platform works great and has a fair free tier to get started so nothing to complain about!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding our user's behaviour and then feature toggles for controlling access to new features. We're also going to start A/B testing in the near future so we're looking forward to seeing how that works in the platform

What do you like best about the product?
I don't even know where to begin. Their support is so friendly and helpful, and the product itself is so easy to use an integrate, and has so much bundled in it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I disliked the recent outage, and there was a bit of a learning curve to the dashboard creations, but I found it out with the docs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Posthog allows me to figure out annoying edge cases INSTANTLY! Before, I'd have to ask users to manually tell me exactly what's happening, but with posthog, it just happens automagically!

Seriously, the DOM capturing and screen recording is SOOOO useful

What do you like best about the product?
Just how easy it is to setup. The autocapature of events. It's great!
What do you dislike about the product?
For my webpages, fast page download is the most important thing for me. Adding the Posthog script always adds some to the page load time. I know that the posthog npm package is also avaiable, but it seems I lose some features when I use the npm package. So I dislike that adding posthog has a negative impact on my page load times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting user feedback, notifications when users visit the pages, and where users are coming from.

What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful feature about posthog is the sessions, where we can see entirely what the customers are checking on. It improved the customer retention

The least helpful feature is the database querying. I haven't used it much

Posthog helps in finding the usage pattern of our customer base.

A powerful and easy to Implement Open-source analytics solution

What do you like best about the product?
PostHog is such a powerful analytics tool that will replace google analytics for me. Super easy to implement with really great guides covering a wide variety of sdks and frameworks showing how to make the most of Posthog. And the fact its fully open source where you can even self-host the platform is so amazing to me. The autocapture futures, the product analytics, custom event capturing with super readable names, and a powerful platform to easily visualize the capture analytics are so good. There's a lot more to say but this tool is a much needed one to make user experiences better
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly nothing too much for me to dislike about PostHog. It's been a very great experience so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its solving the issue of analytics. Theo.gg's video on why you shouldn't use google analytics was something I was glad I stumbled upon. Because I know with PostHog I have a reliable platform to track certain analytics to help improve users experience. And just to see how the website is doing overall.

Single tool as a replacement of a set of tools.

What do you like best about the product?
I see posthog as a single place where we can get all user insights. It is a single replacement for multiple tools such as clarity, mixpanel, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its retention period in some modules goes as low as 1 month in free tier and 3 months in paid. I think that can catered for in the self hosting (which I havent tried up until now), but
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A goto tool for having all the product analytics at a single place. From deciding which custom user activity you want to track and creating custom dahsboards out of it to helping the business people to make custom notebooks, share with the concerned people and managing the features which should be available to what users, this was a great addition to the existing platforms which we are using.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the fact that so many features are combined in one tool. For me, this makes it the perfect tool for analytics and user journeys. There are important notes everywhere in the dashboard that make it very easy to use. You get a large amount of data that you can prepare clearly. You can access valuable knowledge directly in the dashboard in the form of blog posts or longer instructions. If you get stuck, you can ask for help in the community forum!
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be very overwhelming at first and you have to familiarize yourself with it for a long time. You are really overwhelmed with information. Both with information that you collect about your products, but also with instructions for PostHog.
The payment model is a bit confusing and you have to unlock different modules in different projects by entering your credit card information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a product developer and would like to get to know my users better. So far, I have used several tools for this. With PostHog, I now have everything under one hood.

What do you like best about the product?
Tons of features and easy to implement. The UI is well-done and fun.

Too early to tell anything truly worth noting as a negative.

Using session replay for insights into what behavior is causing bugs. Planning to also use the feature flagging and other analytics once our product goes live.
