Fantastic value, lots of potential, a bit rough around the edges
What do you like best about the product?
Intuitive product/interface. Fantastic value. Solid starter product for most people (I'm sure it will improve over time too).
What do you dislike about the product?
Customizations for reporting are a bit limited for power users. Also custom SQL language that isn't as powerful for heavy SQL users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding user base and activity, retention, patterns.

Comprehensive, customisable analytics, great dashboards and a very poweful SDK
What do you dislike about the product?
A bit complex to setup for RemixJS - had to use quite a few workarounds. Ideally there would be docs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Comprehensive analytics and building out a User Journey funnel
Got analysis and recording tool, to solve customers problems and check what happened wrong

They provide good quality recordings of our platform, so the Customer Support can verify user activities.

Sometimes it's hard to find your desired recording, but mostly all is fine.

To replay what happened on customer account and understand better how to solve problem for the customer case.

There's everything you would need from a product like this.
For me, the best is really the quality of documentation, the ease of integration, and generally the friendlyness of working with it as developer.

The UI sometimes crashes, but it happens rarely.

What do you like best about the product?
PostHog has proven to be an invaluable tool, allowing us to seamlessly stream all of our data into one comprehensive analytics platform. The ease of integration was remarkable; we were able to embed it into our codebase without any major hitches. One of the standout features of PostHog is its robust documentation, which is both detailed and user-friendly. This greatly expedited our onboarding process and reduced the learning curve for our developers. Overall, our experience with PostHog has been overwhelmingly positive, and we highly recommend it to other businesses seeking a reliable and efficient analytics solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
My primary gripe is the absence of a dark mode in the app, which can sometimes be taxing on the eyes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PostHog has been instrumental in addressing the challenge of tracking users across various subdomains of our web app, website, and documentation. This comprehensive tracking capability has provided us with a granular understanding of our users' behaviors and interactions. With the insights gleaned from PostHog, we're no longer in the dark about our users' journeys and preferences. Instead, we have a clear roadmap highlighting areas that require optimization and attention. In essence, PostHog not only offers us detailed user analytics but also guides our strategic decisions, ensuring we focus our efforts where they matter most.
An all-in-one platform for product management
What do you like best about the product?
PostHog makes it easy to understand the performance of your product and business with highly customisable dashboards.
It's easy to implement in your product with SDKs is available in most languages, and connections to customer data platforms (CDPs) like Segment.
It also offers value-added features that competitors would make you pay for as separate products, like A/B testing and feature flagging.

What do you dislike about the product?
In my experience, even with relatively small amounts of data, it can take a long time for the widgets on dashboards to load. This means that the experience of exploring my data with PostHog isn't quite "as smooth as butter"!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PostHog is helping my business to understand customer behaviour, so that I can make the right decisions about where I invest to have a more successful, engaging and well-monetised product. I can understand the impact of changes I'm making on performance (for example, are my daily active users [DAUs] increasing or reducing over time?) and understand where customers are dropping off in certain flows.
It's the most convenient tool to observe customer interaction !!

I prety much like ever thing about posthog.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With posthog I am always a step ahead to make the right product decision and debug the problem even before customer reaches us (i.e. the organisation)

Self-hosted session replays and potential to become a complete suite of product ops

Pretty complex UX, we can do much better in simplicity and guiding regularly for best utilization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping us become more proactive to customer delight by reactively identifying opportunities to improve the product experience by identifying bugs, friction areas and areas to dive-deeper into product value.
One of the most complete product analytics tools
What do you like best about the product?
Cheap, good and complete. Been a user of analytics tools for more than 8 years now. Posthog disrupts the market.
What do you dislike about the product?
User interface and visuals needs improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PostHog is serving us with the full suite of analytics we need on our product right now and giving us all of our products insights. From funnal analysis, to data analytics and sessions recordings.
Great way to view customer experience
What do you like best about the product?
I am able to log in and see issues client have experienced and pinpoint problems.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be glitchy. Sometimes we get server errors, nothing will load or it takes a long time to find what I am looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Session replay is what I personally use posthog for. I am able to see what the client is experiencing and pinpoint pain points or bugs in our product.
