Instantly fell in love with the product & company
What do you like best about the product?
The feature set is definitely what we were looking for quite a while now. Instead of building most of the features on our own, we can now rely on a tool that offers way more that we were always dreaming of.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would be amazing to have self-hosted offering with group-analytics.

Comprehensive all-in-one analytics tool
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of using Posthog is probably the best aspect of it. It's easy to get started & using the same user attributes in insights, cohorts, experiments etc. is super valuable!
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest annoyance is the unability to setup different environments within the same project. We run a lot of experiments within our app, but want to obviously test them beforehand, so now there's a lot of duplicate work and double-checking when setting up the feature flags to ensure they always are up to date with what's in the development-project.
In addition, we would love to be able to create cohorts based on date times & group attributes. Now we have to send duplicate data to bothe the user & group level to be able to target our feature flags correctly but also create the correct cohorts.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Posthog centralizes the product analytics space for us, as we used to have 3 different tools doing what Posthog does now. It reduces the overhead of our analytics setup and streamlines it efficiently ☺️
Easy to use and Great tool for startups
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use and it has many features for the free plan which is excellent, especially since we are a Startup and compared it to compatriots Posthog has the recordings and the insights in the same tool, which is cool

The documentation is great, but it can be better
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed insights about our website traffic and Posthog solved it, we also needed a tool to have our insights and The Sessions recordings at the same time which Posthog solved as well.
Great analytics tool
What do you like best about the product?
It's very simple to use. You can quickly create and share any insights/dashboards you create. It provides great value for product analytics, such as tracking onboarding funnels.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not really. We need to move from on-prem to cloud, where we think that most of the current bugs we have will be resolved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Presenting onboarding funnels and understanding how customers move through our product. We're very data-centric and PostHog helps us gather and present that data easily.
Simple and effective
What do you like best about the product?
PostHog does a solid job with event collection - it's simple to track user actions and clicks. The real-time data streaming is a plus, keeping everything current. Setting up a report is pretty straightforward. A good tool for event tracking and quick reports, we're relatively happy with it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Th need to add a UTM for each link, I'm not sure this isn't a technical limitation, but this litters our promotions sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowing us to see clicks, sessions replay and reports of those. We currently mainly use it for our website, but will probably use it for the platform itself as well.
Quick setup and sleek website design
What do you like best about the product?
Integrating PostHog within the application was incredibly easy. I enjoyed how simple it was to get off the ground and begin collecting data. The PostHog website has easy-to-use features and is nice too.

I don't have any particular dislikes at this time.

It's important for us to know which features are used by our customers and PostHog provides insight into that.

Amazing dashboard and helpful analytics.

Refreshing experience after using many product analytics tools
What do you like best about the product?
I LOVE that it is pay for what you use, with generous usage limits with the free tier. The interface is a wonderful experience and I love that there are so many different features available, but you don't have to be using them to feel like you are getting some valuable out of PostHog.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the biggest downside is that the wide variety of product analytics tools make you wonder how it is possible to have a good product that is spread so widely. Maybe working to message intended use cases would be a good improvement. For example, having both web usage analytics (like GA) and feature flags (like Launch Darkley) seem to be mixing the worlds of analytics and software development. IMO that is a great thing, but it may be confusing to some.

It let's us see the usage of our product as we launch alpha.
Very Detailed Analytics
What do you like best about the product?
It is very feature rich and easy to understand once it is set up properly. Support is also good

Setting up action through the tool bar is difficult sometimes

Incredibly easy, and great documentation!
What do you like best about the product?
The platform never stood in the way of getting to the finish-line. Rather it helped find a flaw in the way i structured my events. Super intuitve!
What do you dislike about the product?
It was a bit hard to figure out what the power-ups were. But since Good Tape is a sister-company of Zetland, I was able to copy a lot of the setup from there.

Making events easily accessable in an understandable interface.
