Great tool for seeing our app data in real-time and historical data for analysis
What do you like best about the product?
You don't need to be a Dev to use it, it has an easy-to-use application - building dashboards is easy, plus it's great user interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes loading data can take a few seconds, but other than that works great for our purposes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to analyse our app data, in an already built system, we could of course build more reporting and analytics ourselves but why when we can put it into PostHog.
Good Features and Usage
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to create my analytics with formulas and compare them with other sources is my favorite. Also, the fact that I can create multiple analytics and pin them on the homepage is impressive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting formulas can sometimes be tedious and complex. I would like it if it could be more simplified. Also, if the feature of a split dashboard can be provided, it would be amazing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
So far, PostHog has given me the platform to get as much data as I need for product improvement and to maximize customer experience. It is a great place to see how and what is happening behind the scene of our product
One stop for user analytics and expirementation
What do you like best about the product?
I've looked into multiple analytics providers for our organization's web applications including Clarity, Fathom, and Plausible. PostHog is quite overpowered compared to the others and allows moving to EU hosting at any point, which is reassuring in case we want to be working on GDPR compliances in the future.
What do you dislike about the product?
All of our requirements are for the frontend web side so this will specifically be about using posthog-js. At the moment of writing, posthog-js is a mess. It causes errors at unexpected places (especially if the user has opted out of analytics), and I've found some bugs that I was expecting to be ironed out by now based on the maturity of the project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PostHog gives us advanced analytics, feature flags, A/B testing, and session replay. This spans a huge chunk of what Cryptlex needs for building a better user experience. Surely, going the human-centred way takes a lot more than just biased outlooks on A/B tests, and incorrect inferences on session replays, but PostHog gives you enough data to get jump-started with fine-tuning your product based on data-driven decisions.
The tutorials and guides are top-notch, but I still hold my share of complaints about posthog-js.

Not too user friendly while finding records with user IDs, could be a powerful tool to use properly
What do you like best about the product?
recordings availability for certain areas
What do you dislike about the product?
findability and UI, while exploring through the dahboard
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitoring dashboard activities by clients to be able to troubleshoot better
Loving the product so far
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to setup lot of things in short time, liking session replays, also API support is the major thing we chose posthog for.
What do you dislike about the product?
Didn't find anything so far, will evaluate with time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Funnels, general analytics, session replays, APIs to pull and show data on our user dashboard
Does what we need, would have benefited from more thorough walk through.
What do you like best about the product?
1. It was easy to install
2. An excellent dashboard to monitor insights. I like that there were examples provided.
3. I also like that the data is easy to access and comprehensive. I don't want to have to search.

What do you dislike about the product?
1. The installation instructions initialized post hog inside of a function, so the variable was not globally accessible throughout the application.
2. There is a bit of a learning curve to the dashboard. A video explaining how to use it and the difference between screen tracking and event tracking / the difference in the data gathered would be nice.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been unable to find a service that has a comprehensive data dashboard. We use customer.io (which tracks all the data but doesn't give us access to data analytics), and we tried Amplitude (which has been tricky to both install and use). So PostHog benefits us by giving us a simple way to access all the data.
Great analytic features
What do you like best about the product?
We have been using posthog for a while now and I can safely say that it has some of the best analytical features out there. It did help us with collecting user data but not only that it records the session of users which helps us understand what really a user experiences when they first open our dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like posthog should provide more analytical measurements like Google Analytics and clarity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping us analyse the user behaviour which further help us serve them better.
Bye bye fullstory

I Love how easy the implementation was, simple snippet and we're up and running, excellent experience,.

Found it hard to find how to unmask user input, looked in docs and found it, have'nt tried yet so not sure how effective it is yet.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PostHog is solving the problem of visibility for the product team, how the different features are being used and in what capacity. It is also helping the design team to view the different recordings, comment on how the current UI/UX is working, and brainstorm on the future version of the designs on the platform. It is also helping define the product strategy with basic data like which browser is used, which region is being used etc.
