Great to debug user sessions and get notifications of user activity
What do you like best about the product?
Recording user sessions, rageclick events (to find the egregious bugs), love that it's easy to integrate into your app.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much! I had a really easy time integrating it and it has a lot of features for our small team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to be able to follow user sessions in real time. We are a small startup trying to get to PMF so all of our users are valuable and we want to make sure they're having a great experience.
It is like the best tracking web for tracking events. This helps us to get track of the users.
What do you like best about the product?
Tracking events and giving us a better understanding of customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is finicky, and sometimes the events don't get logged in.

It mainly solves event tracking.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PostHog is solving several problems for businesses. One of the biggest challenges businesses face is understanding their customers' behaviour and preferences, which can be challenging without the right tools. PostHog solves this problem by providing businesses with powerful product analytics tools to track user behaviour, identify trends, and gain insights into customers' needs and preferences.
Nice Product for analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Intuitive User Interface, nice reporting and video recording

Not very easy for a complete beginner to get all the insights that one would like
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we are able to segment the users and visitors, view user behaviour
The engineer-friendly product suite that just does it all!
What do you like best about the product?
It's literally replaced 90% of our product stack, we can get rich data insights, session recordings, heatmaps and feature flags - right there in the same tool.
We only need to add one tag to our site, maintain one set of personas, and that's without mentioning the fact it's engineer friendly! No more hours wasted in Google Analytics clones.
The support from the team is great, and it's been amazing to see the PostHog app grow based on feedback we've given.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not a lot... other than it can't replace all of the product tools we use (looking at you Mr Product Guide tool).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's giving us a direct insight into our data, allowing us to replay users sessions, and allow us to slice and dice our personas to release specific features to them.
Way better than Hotjar

Price and integration are the best I found - easy to connect and start working on

So far no problems - really like it the interface and solution.

Session replay is one of the most important thing to fix issues as fast as possible.
Powerful for feature flagging and so much more
What do you like best about the product?
As an engineer, I mostly use Posthog for feature flagging. Having a centralised place to manage these and control feature rollout has been very powerful. We used to manage this in-house, but this way is a lot more powerful.
My product owner uses PostHog a lot to make sure our products our performing as well as they should and make tweaks.

What do you dislike about the product?
I'd love some kind of "what would you like to see" functionality within PostHog similar to what Google Analytics does. For example, I'd love to be able to types "How many hits has /url/feature/xyz had in the last 30 days"
As we move towards more natural language within our applications, I think this would be super powerful!

Feature flagging, centralised. Rolling out features to different cohorts at different times, i.e. internal first for alpha, then select clients for beta, then GA launch.

What do you like best about the product?
i like the session recordings and how it automatically records the user data and ties it all in together. the charts are also very helpful

I can't see live sessions going on right now. I'm unable to query session recording by user

Looking for better google analytics alternative
What do you like best about the product?
Session recording with generous free plan. Customisable analytics with many parameters available to use. Almost unlimited integrations and customisation (web hooks, etc)
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile web application experience is not the most optimal as the pages does not fit great on my mobile screen (iphone 12 mini). Need to try further functionalities in the future to find other things I dislike. So far it's a great product!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Have clear analytics data for my web site and new web sites I'll produce in the future. It gives me a great reporting platform and incredible ways to automate what I want.

PostHog was very easy to get setup and see data flowing. The analytics and dashboards have the right combination of ease of use and power (i.e., they are easy to get started with but can be customized).
Also, I very much like the pricing structure that allows us to get started for free.
