A very dense forrest of options, but no map to guide you
What do you like best about the product?
There are a ton of options and a lot is pre-configured right out of the box. The toolbar is really convenient, too. It makes creating actions really easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The documentation seems to assume the user is already familiar with Posthog. I've found the documentation frequently skips over the real questions to focus on features. I don't need to be sold on the features again; I need to know how to make them work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My company wasn't using any analytics software before installing Posthog, so it's already giving us a better idea on what users are actually using on our pages. The session recording is proving very valuable for our design team as well.
Posthog Review
What do you like best about the product?
1. PostHog Insights are very helpful. Gives a clear idea about the usage patterns.
2. Dashboard is one of the best features. Helps me visualize the data clearly.
3. It is very helpful to track the actions performed on mobile applications. This helps me to understand which feature is more critical and has maximum user engagement.

What do you dislike about the product?
There aren't any major dislikes about PostHog as such. The only thing is, the loading time of the events can be improved a little. Other than this, I haven't faced any issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Posthog mainly for event tracking and for Dashboards creation. The dashboards are very useful and give a clear picture of how any critical event of our application is performing. We use this feature a lot. And insights help to understand and prioritize the features based on the usage. All these features gives us a better understanding how how our app is received.
Easy choice
What do you like best about the product?
Posthog seemed to be the only optimize alternative that also works for small/medium size businesses, without requiring a long demo and onboarding process!
What do you dislike about the product?
The flag setup was a bit unclear in the beginning, and I ended up finding a different instruction somewhere else in the documentation that covered the issue
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A/B testing
Straightforward Analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Extremely easy to set up. Defaults work great, and onboarding was a breeze.
Posthog offers a wide range of visualizations and is constantly improving.
Posthog offers a wide range of visualizations and is constantly improving.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it had more auto-creation of analytics. For example, based on my events, auto-suggest dashboards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has allowed us to view our funnel end-end.
Posthog interface is amazing and has made our analytics fun!
What do you like best about the product?
There is a ridiculous amount of functionality available right out of the box when it comes to auto-capture and session recording. Custom events and user properties will take your application to the next level.
What do you dislike about the product?
If Posthog could have more 3rd Party Integration where we could have multiple cookies/sessions simultaneously, then it would be great! Apart from this, I think the UX and onboarding can be better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having all the analytics and sessions in one place is fantastic! A feature like Custom Events and user properties is beneficial and allows us to deliver products efficiently.
Great Tool To Check User Experience
What do you like best about the product?
PostHog is great tool to see if your SaaS dashboard is user friend or not, what are the problems your users might be facing and how many users are actively using the service.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I find difficult with PostHog is its integration with Tag manager. Also, it would be great to have some more metrics like Rention rate and rage click.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PostHog is helping us discover the vulnerabilities in our new version of dashboard.
Progressive overload for analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Sometimes with analytics, you don't know everything you'll need upfront. With Posthog I can start tracking immediately and see what I need to expand tracking into for further insights.
And example of this is user session recordings. I didn't think I needed this, but after watching a few, I learned new events I could track.

What do you dislike about the product?
I had some issues setting up use tracking with posthog, since you have to manually stop tracking a user session
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Learning what my users are doing on my app
Easy to set up, powerful building blocks
What do you like best about the product?
We recently deployed PostHog, and I've been very happy with it so far. I like the "building blocks" approach PostHog takes - you first collect data, then categorize it, then analyze it in charts, then combine charts into dashboards. It takes a little bit of work to set up, but these steps help ensure that you truly understand your data and that you're measuring the right things.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a bit of a learning curve, and it's probably less friendly to non-technical users. It has inherent complexity similar to a spreadsheet tool: it requires you to structure and understand your data before you can report on it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PostHog helps us pull together data from our website and apps and understand how users are discovering, using, and buying our software.
Invaluable
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to watch someone's behavior just gives so much more actionable information than analytics alone
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far. If I were to say anything, it would be proactively showing weak areas.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping me see what users are actually doing without standing over someone and watching.
Wonderful bundle of very useful tools
What do you like best about the product?
Has a very generous free tier. Fast and nice to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Had some difficulties setting up. Docs are pretty lacking and I had to hack in my own support for Next.js App Directory.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Learning more about how our users use the app, what are they doing, how are they getting stuck, and how we can improve the UX. It's definitely helped us to spot UX inefficiencies that improved the profits of our B2B partners a lot.
