Everything you need for product analytics. Just watch your event volume!
What do you like best about the product?
Provides all features you would need for product analytics in one platform, from funnels and user paths, to session recordings and even feature flags.
What do you dislike about the product?
As with most other product analytics tools, it gets expensive really quickly once you exceed the number of events on standard plans.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to understand user conversions better in order to optimize our product. PostHog helped us understand our users better from macro to micro views, ranging from high-level analytics down to individual session recordings.
Just getting started
What do you like best about the product?
Making Cohorts-I've been making cohorts for each company that I need to track of
Creating my own insights-I need some client specific reporting so I was able to build what I needed

What do you dislike about the product?
I figured out how to create things through trial and error. I wanted to find average logins but I had to build it from scratch. That would have been easier if I had access to frequently made reports or some templates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me with user analysis for accounts that I manage. Also I've used session replay to figure out exactly what steps my clients are using to get the results they have.
Posthog is really good, but can be more powerful
What do you like best about the product?
The UI and the UX are really good, easy to navigate and very intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Few documentation and tutorials on setting up and getting started especially for non-technical users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Identifying the behavior of users when signing up. It actually helped us identify which specific fields users had a hard time filling out.
Easy to use and flexible
What do you like best about the product?
Flexible and easy to combine various data sources to give data insights
What do you dislike about the product?
Does not replace google analytics as it does not do the usual landing page analytics out of the box
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Analytics
Posthog for Analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to easily see the user traffic and how the site is being used has helped in deciding features and placement
What do you dislike about the product?
Helm Charts move quite fast so if you don't keep an eye out you may get a few version behind real fast
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visibility in to user actions
Great easy to use tool
What do you like best about the product?
UI is very user friendly and is very intuituve. Also, the PostHog is open source, so can be ajusted to what we need.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems like not all the recordings of user sessions are available. FS have more data to show.

Helps analyzing the product, customer behavior, interaction with the product, etc.
Solid for core analytics

very easy to implement and spin up dashboards. Great for websites
What do you dislike about the product?
When it comes to referring domain I'm sure how some are picked over others.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing us analytics on our documentation pages on our website. Using it for Zendesk and is way better than what they provide.
Flexible and adaptable to different use cases.
What do you like best about the product?
One of the things I really like about Posthog is its open-source nature. This means that anyone can use and contribute to the software, making it more flexible and adaptable to different use cases.
The platform also provides a user-friendly interface that makes it easy to set up and manage your analytics tracking. You can create custom events and funnels to track specific actions and user journeys, and the tool provides detailed visualizations and reports to help you make sense of your data.
In addition, Posthog has a built-in experimentation framework that allows you to test different versions of your product and measure their impact on user behavior. This can be a valuable tool for optimizing your product and improving your user experience.
Overall, I think Posthog is a great choice for companies looking to improve their product analytics and experimentation capabilities. The tool is powerful, flexible, and easy to use, and the open-source nature of the platform makes it a great choice for companies of all sizes and industries.

What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up and configuring PostHog can be a bit more involved than some other analytics tools, especially if you are not familiar with software installation and server administration.
Some users have reported issues with the performance or reliability of the platform, especially with larger data volumes or more complex analytics configurations. However, it's worth noting that these issues are not necessarily unique to PostHog and can occur with any analytics tool.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PostHog helps companies gain a deeper understanding of how their users are interacting with their products, and use that knowledge to make data-driven decisions that can improve the user experience, increase user engagement, and drive business growth.
a decent feature flag solution and automated usage analytics tracking tool with subpar UI/UX
What do you like best about the product?
pretty easy to setup. automated usage analytics is definitely the future. feature flags are solid as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
the overall user experience is not great. multiple users from our org detest using the app and find it difficult to create reports. some features just flat out don't work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it's a solid feature flag solution for us, but we've decided to move to another platform for product analytics
We are evaluating posthog to be used as part of my team's analytics stack.
What do you like best about the product?
Love the user interface. It reminds me a lot of Amplitude because the UI is very similar and similar features are being offered, but for a small fraction of the price!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that there was a little bit more in terms of alerting and notifications, more specifically in realtime. Unsure if that is in place or not so i may be off base her.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping us to get conversion rate data, which is not something we had before.
