Powerful for feature flagging and so much more

What do you like best about the product?
As an engineer, I mostly use Posthog for feature flagging. Having a centralised place to manage these and control feature rollout has been very powerful. We used to manage this in-house, but this way is a lot more powerful.

My product owner uses PostHog a lot to make sure our products our performing as well as they should and make tweaks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd love some kind of "what would you like to see" functionality within PostHog similar to what Google Analytics does. For example, I'd love to be able to types "How many hits has /url/feature/xyz had in the last 30 days"

As we move towards more natural language within our applications, I think this would be super powerful!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Feature flagging, centralised. Rolling out features to different cohorts at different times, i.e. internal first for alpha, then select clients for beta, then GA launch.

What do you like best about the product?
i like the session recordings and how it automatically records the user data and ties it all in together. the charts are also very helpful

I can't see live sessions going on right now. I'm unable to query session recording by user

Looking for better google analytics alternative

What do you like best about the product?
Session recording with generous free plan. Customisable analytics with many parameters available to use. Almost unlimited integrations and customisation (web hooks, etc)
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile web application experience is not the most optimal as the pages does not fit great on my mobile screen (iphone 12 mini). Need to try further functionalities in the future to find other things I dislike. So far it's a great product!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Have clear analytics data for my web site and new web sites I'll produce in the future. It gives me a great reporting platform and incredible ways to automate what I want.

Very happy with initial use of PostHog

What do you like best about the product?
PostHog was very easy to get setup and see data flowing. The analytics and dashboards have the right combination of ease of use and power (i.e., they are easy to get started with but can be customized).
Also, I very much like the pricing structure that allows us to get started for free.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not yet encountered anything that I don't like about PostHog

We want to be able to see how users are using our product.

What do you like best about the product?
PostHog just worked right from the start. We were using fullstory for session replay and was above their session limit for the free tier. PostHog had a much higher montly session limit and like that the pricing was right on the website instead of hidden behind an enterprise sales person.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to include some basic network logging in the free tier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding end user support requests; being able to replay the session to better understand what the user was trying to accomplish.

It allows us to extract more data and see what's going on with users. Data analytics help us improve our product.

Better than GA but most will need more

What do you like best about the product?
Much better than Google Analytics with a great self host model. The visualizations and charts are better than Google Analytics too, and even Heap.
What do you dislike about the product?
Missing key features such as elegantly supporting multiple environments (they mix the concept with projects) and lack basics like breaking down reports by multiple dimensions. This latter issue has been a feature request for almost 3 years.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better experience than google analytics which helps given you more usable insight for nominal cost. Smarter data model than GA too giving more power in your queries.

What do you like best about the product?
PostHog makes it so much easier to implement event based funnel tracking instead of the standard UTM tracking from google. This allows for much more personalization and clear attribution.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was demographic data in the tool

Post hog gave us really clear funnel tracking information which is especially important when coming from ads!

What do you like best about the product?
- customizability: you can create your own dashboards. Easy to make an overview of the most important metrics.
- price: currently on the free tier. They offer a lot in the free tier!
- Tone of voice: I like how they communicate.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a lot to uncover since they offer a lot of features. It just takes some time to get through it all. Although the interface is straightforward, you just have to spend time discovering all the features and what you can do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I originally chose PostHog for the cookieless tracking for website analytics. The number of visits in the free tier is generous, so I checked the service out. I then discovered the session replay, and they are very valuable.
