It would be nice to easily import my own datasets onto Posthog.
Running some SQL on the platform would be nice too.

Great app to view customers insights
What do you like best about the product?
Gives us great insights into how our customers are interacting with our platform
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing major yet! Only minor pet peeve is how many clicks it takes to get to some filters
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Debugging customer issues by reviewing the steps they followed, so we can recreate it at our end

What do you like best about the product?
I like session recordings - they let me see how exactly users are interacting with features and depict clearly at which points of a particularly workflow they are experiencing frustrations
What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboarding tools could definitely be more comprehensive. I would like to be able to reorder the bar charts when displaying my data using that. The dashboards could also look better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PostHog is helping my team and I to understand how users are interacting with our product, and what the areas for improvement are. We have also used it for tracking which accounts are currently facing issues.
Phenomenal, approachable product for early stage startup needs
What do you like best about the product?
Best aspect of PostHog is its approachability—competitors like Amplitude, Segment, Mixpanel, etc. are overly complex for what we needed. Super easy to set up and use. Also, session replay is incredible.
What do you dislike about the product?
One negative of PostHog is intuitiveness (or lack thereof) for more complex dashboards and integrations. For example, while some dashboards are set up for you as examples, other seemingly common metrics require a bit of digging to find. Once you get the hang of things, this is fine—but it's a bit of a gap in the otherwise approachable onboarding experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This meets pretty much all of our telemetry / metrics / cohorting needs. Even the simple feature flagging option is enough to replace other dedicated platforms like LaunchDarkly—again, at least for our current earlier stage.

PostHog allows for multiple dashboards and segmenting things by various projects. I like the ability to see groups of various dates to see how performance is going for various metrics

1. No ability to sum up multiple metrics in one dashboard.
2. No ability to compare periods - i.e. last 7 days vs previous 7 days.
3. Exported data in gsheets gets put in horizontally vs vertically making it hard to pivot/organize

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PostHog is allowing us to view aggregate user behavior and adoption rates of various versions of our product - usage, active users, conversion rates, UTM sources, etc.
PostHog is an easy-to-adopt platform to gain a deep understanding of your customers' product usage
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it was to get started and that the platform encourages low-code configuration to get to impactful insights
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to say, as I really love the tool. I wish I had a little more flexibility in how I segmented data visuals beyond a single "group by" field

Understanding how our customers use our product to make customer-driven decisions for how we evolve our product. It also enables Customer Success to measure the success of user adoption after we perform training sessions
good insights but not baked into our team's processes (talk about it lots but don't always use it)
What do you like best about the product?
Funnel tracking across pages to find drop-offs. Also, discovering navigation patterns our users take that were not intended which puts us in an easy position to make those experiences more streamlined. Robust way for a developer to add tracking for long-term tracking. No-dev-code for tracking short-term experiments/insights.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not really a downside, but at my company, there has been slow full adoption and effort put into standardizing how we add events. I don't really have any dislikes of the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is an easy way to track the success of a feature, who the champion is (the customer who uses it the most), and general insights and trends of specific features as well the app holistically. We also use it for quarterly OKRs.
First analytics platform that's excited me in a while!

Pricing tier, insightful analytics, easy to setup.
It's also very useful that there are multiple products in the same ecosystem.

Session recording, and the tagging of that data to specific datapoints on our side.
Using other session recording software it was always hard (usually anon) to see users with certain attributes and their usage of the site

It's nice, the recording is slow to buffer, but also nice.

The event tracking is excellent, and the way insights work generates excellent value for the team.

It's kind of slow in gathering the query data and loading the recording after buffering.
Also, the autocapture captures a lot, which may cause problems if you don't watch it carefully.

The recordings are amazing, seeing what people are doing and their thought process and journey throughout the page

Sometimes the search is a bit buggy and can make it hard to search for users

It's solving the problem of error tracking so we know the source of errors but also in redesigning our site we can see what features aren't used as much
