Posthog is awesome for analytics!
What do you like best about the product?
Posthog requires a little bit of configuration, but once setup, is enormously powerful. We were able to use Posthog to track user activity across our web app onboarding funnel, as well as across our CLI, which is something few competitors were able to offer. Documentation and support is also very good.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a little bit of time to correctly configure, and some of the settings are not immediately intuitive, but this is often the case with analytics and reporting software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using PostHog to visualise our user onboarding journey, and to understand how and where users are churning out. In the post-onboarding space we use Posthog for all mission critical metrics (MAUs etc)
Replaces lots of poorly integrated tools, great prices
What do you like best about the product?
Data and recordings all in one place. Experiments being colocated with feature flags and correlation analysis is also really handy. Having feature flags without some insane price or silly tool is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
User agent and (google) bot data caused some headaches and high usage initially. The auth and identity configuration was pretty painful to understand the integration with our auth flow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's solving data collection, user recordings, experiments and feature flagging. Having everything in one place is great for productivity and investigation.

What do you like best about the product?
It has support for python, I used to monitoring a app in my job and work perfectly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The documentation can be better, I have to search in other places to make this work in python.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can see how many clients we lost in our journey, monitoring specifics cases. The funnels are also very useful for keeping track of the type of user we have.
optimal solution for product and growth
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to analyze the impact of marketing campaigns and know exactly how the users we acquired are behaving inside our product , especially the funnel feature
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's super hard to scale it , and the results bigger than months and are bit slow

being open source is awsome as it's a good alternative to similar paid products
A great tool for event tracking
What do you like best about the product?
Easy event tracking. Its very easy to setup a new app in posthog.
What do you dislike about the product?
Poor recording filters. Its a pain filter more advanced queries.

Monitor and watch my AB tests without to much complexity. Is very simple and easy to setup a new AB test.
PostHog Review: A Great Tool with Room for Improvement in Player Functionality
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the ability to create custom events within PostHog. It allows me to easily track user interactions and gather valuable metrics when testing new tools and features within our product.
What do you dislike about the product?
One aspect of PostHog that I find frustrating is the occasional issues with the built-in player. It often experiences long buffering times and sometimes stops working altogether, requiring a page refresh to function again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PostHog is helping to solve the problem of understanding user behavior and engagement within our product. Using the custom event tracking and analytics features of PostHog, we can gain valuable insights into how users interact with our product and identify areas for improvement. This allows us to make data-driven decisions and optimize our product for maximum user satisfaction, leading to increased engagement, retention and revenue. The benefits we are seeing are clear. We can better understand our user's needs and improve our product based on data, not guesses.
Great all around open source analytics solution
What do you like best about the product?
It has a great user experience, automatic tracking, and it's open source. Also, they provide a full analytics suite, including feature flags, recording, events, API.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much honestly. I guess because it has so many features, it may be too much if you are just looking for simple and bare-bone analytics solution. Also still not SOC2

Understanding the user experience of my product and how I can solve it. The easy UI and auto tracking allows me to capture events vey quickly and use it to improve my product

PostHog is the best tool when it comes to setting up tracking insights for new product launches

PostHog probably has everything you need when it comes to setting up actions but the insights can be more detailed. It takes additional context when presenting to other stakeholders

PostHog allows my team and I to understand which areas of the platform need more traffic generated and what releases have worked well.

What do you like best about the product?
The program is really analytical and helps us create a lot of actions to track how users are interacting with certain elements

It takes time to setup each action and the process is a little repetitive when doing something like tracking clicks in various places

It is allowing us to accurately measure how much traffic certain features are getting to understand if its worthwhile to invest in developing it further
It’s simply the best way to look at your product from the inside. Amazing!

Easy to integrate and to use. We build several dashboard the helped our team to understand our user better than any other solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in particular atm. The sofwater is really easy to use. And I see the it get updated frequentyly.

Manipulate data and track part of the customer journey that we were unable to track or needed much expensive solutions.
