Best website analytic ever
What do you like best about the product?
I really like Posthog because it is one of the best and most advanced web analytics that I always use to analyze all people who visit my website. Not only that it is free, easy to set up, and good enough for me to analyze one of my websites.
What do you dislike about the product?
Even though I like the advanced analytic feature of it, I still have a hard time looking at the data, and plus the documentation is really confusing to me. Other than that they really done a good job most of them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used Posthog to track tons of visitors to my site and since most analytics services don't show how many people use the site the second and third time, PostHog did track it and that help me track and calculate it easily.
Great to see, not so easy to program, little support
What do you like best about the product?
Data visualization is great, which allows us to have recurring graphs we look at weekly. Comparison across time periods is also great. My favorite part are the footages when considering bug related graphs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't find it too easy to program the graphs as a non-tech person. It is less intuitive than Retool, even though Retool is not no-code. Also, we cannot import the PostHog graphs to show them to our clients/customers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem of organizing our visit events and our main bugs. It allows us to quickly check some bug occurrences and watch their footage, which is great for fixing them.
incredible tool for it's superpower and simplicity
What do you like best about the product?
Everything is tracked and recordeded by default

Great, but a bit overwhelming for non-technical people
What do you like best about the product?
The recordings part is great and the fact that you can use it to do qualitative research based on events that you can filter out. The in-built automatic filters are extensive and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
PostHog has a lot of different features compared to other product analytics suites. Most products usually just focus on one part of the features PostHog incorporates, making them easier to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping us in finding patterns in user activities, allowing us to do user research and A/B testing in one place with good visibility and less technical management.
Better than Luckyorange
What do you like best about the product?
I liked how easy it is to use Posthog compare to other software available like luckyorange.
What do you dislike about the product?
it was bit hard to understand how to implement the open source part.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us understanding the behaviour of our product users and website visitors
Posthog are awesome
What do you like best about the product?
I liked the pricing model, also the simple quick start, the immediate response of the open source community team.
The recordings are in high resolution and very clear.

What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have anything that I disliked, there is a common issue with loading non-js files directly, but this is something that posthog are trying to help me with and I appreciate that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
they solve our difficulty to understand how our early customers are using the system, which problems are they facing and what we can do to make our app better.
Helps me achieve my product analytics, self-hosting is a great option.
What do you like best about the product?
Freedom to track events the way you want (frontend, session recordings or backend) and host it the way you want. I am currently running a self-hosted instance and Posthog EU cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
- steep learning curve to build the analytics and dashboard you want. Video tutorials would be great.
- Some features that make my life easier (e.g. email reports (subscriptions)) are hard to find.
- Some features that make my life easier (e.g. email reports (subscriptions)) are hard to find.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of my basic project KPIs (number of users, signups, important events, retention) and doing this in a privacy compliant way (I can use self-hosting if necessary).

Nice experience once you manage to set everything up
What do you like best about the product?
Auto capture, so you can easily create insights afterwards on any event.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was pretty long until we got everything set up. Mostly we struggled with cross domain tracking, so we have the whole user journey.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's mainly helping us know users better, seeing what they do, testing new features with experiments, and helping qa reproduce bugs via session recording. It's benefiting us by knowing our product better
