The Best All Inclusive Sales Tool
What do you like best about the product?
The amazing UX & workflow of calls & emails
What do you dislike about the product?
When I'm on a live call, another call rings instead of sending it directly to voicemail. This didn't happen before but now it is & that's annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sales engagement, tracking prospects to a tee, bulk compose email
Outreach.io is a must have for all sales organizations
What do you like best about the product?
I have used Outreach.io for 3 years, and I won't ever work a day without it. The sequencing feature alone keeps our AEs from missing important touch points along the sales path, and our Success Managers proactive connections are scheduled and completed months in advance. The integrations with SalesForce, Gmail, and Drift are seamless and efficient. Management can utilize Outreach metrics to push our teams production to the next level with powerful insights. Our team simply cannot exist without Outreach, and I won't work for a company that doesn't have it in place.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside to Outreach.io is the very aggressive bounce limit placed on outbound emails. While I appreciate the aid in keeping our email domain out of the spam folder, shutting down Outreach for 24 hours is a bit much.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team is able to proactively cover over 3500 customers in short order, and our outbound sales teams and BDRs are so much more focused on deals that can close versus chasing dead deals. This platform pays for itself within months of deployment.
Best in class for sales engagement
What do you like best about the product?
Outreach has great integrations with Salesforce, Microsoft Outlook, and sales lead tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Outreach administrative user interface for setting up sequences and producing reports could use improvements. That's where it lags behind SalesLoft a bit. Creating and editing sequences can be a chore.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Outreach is especially effective for inside sales and sales development prospecting. It helps you to implement a focused, discipline sales methodology and messaging with a tightly managed team. If you don't have a tightly managed inside team and sales methodology, with consistent reinforcement from the line managers, it's a lot tougher to realize success. Outside sales is particularly limited by how much benefit they can gain, because they aren't always in front of a screen and you can't track face-to-face interactions/follow-ups with a tool like this.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Outreach compares favorably to SalesLoft, and really shines with its Outlook, Gmail, and calendar integrations. That's what makes it #1 for me. I would not recommend adopting a tool like this if you aren't prepared to integrate it fully into your sales methodology, training, and daily management practices. Without that, you will fail.
Strong Tool for Outbound Sales Organization
What do you like best about the product?
The way your Salesforce instance can be mapped on top of Outreach makes filtering very similar to building a report in SFDC, without the csv exports. In other tools I have used, I would have to rely on exports of reports in CSV files or through SFDC reports, then pushing them into the platform. This caused a lot of duplicate work and duplicate efforts when it came to sales Outreach. With the filtering being much stronger, I am able to replicate what would be a report in Salesforce in Outreach, while adding standard filters to ensure that the prospect we are targeting is only being targeted by one person, for example. The user interface is more advanced and easy to navigate once you get into the system in detail.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not currently the ability to export raw data from total usage and use to analyze myself. An example is I want to see all sequences and where meetings are being booked. That is not able to be done on the macro level, just from sequence to sequence. Their reporting and analytics portion of the product is better than other tools I have used, and they are continually making product enhancements there, but being able to take the data and manipulate externally would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving prospect management and organization with Outreach. This has allowed our team to do more selling-related activities and less administrative work. There is nothing worse than sales teams spending most of their days in non-selling activities. Outreach helps us eliminate that and ensure that we are targeting the best prospects. We have been able to better visualize rep activity and tracks communication and task completion by pushing back into Salesforce reports.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the time to go through the implementation process before rolling out to the teams that will be using it. There are a lot of helpful tips, tricks and hands-on setup of best practices that we found valuable. Taking shortcuts to go live is not ideal. We were able to build out the tool to the level we needed to before going live and have made iterations on top of it as we have utilized the platform more.
Great Product - High time investment upfront for building
What do you like best about the product?
Prospecting functionality is unmatched - moving lead lists SFDC > outreach and automating email nurture campaigns
What do you dislike about the product?
Since it is contact based system, it makes it tough to manage accounts (with multiple contacts attached) once those accounts are closed/won. I definitely see more functionality on the SDR / AE teams than on the AM teams
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Economies of scale in contacting leads and running targeted marketing campaigns by segmentation
- call volume across the AE/SDR teams has increased
- email tracking and auto logging in SF (great for when we have turnover, team can quickly catch up on an account)

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be prepared to spend a lot of time upfront to have an effective launch. You probably need a salesforce developer. I tried to run our entire implementation as the Director of Sales and would not recommend it.
#1 Engagement Platform
What do you like best about the product?
I have used quite a few sales engagement platforms, but none have quite compared to outreach. I have used Xant, Groove, and demoed Sales Loft. All were great tools! However, outreach is set apart from these other tools because of their reporting and data insights, their integration with salesforce, engagement insights, and supportive account management! Being in a management position, I have found more of an inside look at how my team was performing daily. The data outreach provided helped me to find areas of improvement for the sales team easily. Not only that, but I have never had an account manager who responds as quickly and efficiently as the one I have at outreach. It's nice to have support long after we have signed on.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see improved on the outreach platform is a little more customization to different platform settings, such as more customization in meetings, sequences, and A&B testing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Outreach, we have more than doubled our open rate, click-through rate, and reply rate. Our responses have never been better.
Great tool for outbounding and reaching out to prospects
What do you like best about the product?
Outreach is very helpful to create sequences for outbound and inbound approach. Sending meeting availabilities, standardization of meetings, templates and quick links for company videos. Overall great tool to have peace of mind with what should I do next? When should I follow up? Outreach helps with that!
What do you dislike about the product?
As any database integrations, sometimes we get duplicates or mis leading leeds. But my main issue is to bridge my phone when people call back via the platform
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Standardization of company approach
Scaling up sales team
Cadence of sales rep

Outreach Power User
What do you like best about the product?
Neat UI: The platform is easy to use by non-technical people
What do you dislike about the product?
Stability: It's common to see some slowness or issues every week.
Lack of features on the API: Basic requests such as negative filtering and filtering on some essential fields like "opted-out" are not present.
Lack of features on the UI: The UI is optimized for usability and not for the richness of the features. It works fine for small/medium businesses, but when you heavily rely on outreach, some features for power users are lacking. Mainly the lack of detailed monitoring or the possibility to export certain parts of the data to build a in house monitoring solution.
Software limits making it more complicated or slow to scale the business.

We are using outreach to build complex outreach email scheduling, CRM prospect, and calls management.
