Nice application, less support

  • September 27, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The application integrates seamlessly with Salesforce and has lot of flexibility around controlling the items to sync, frequency, direction etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are lot of unknowns, setup might be overwhelming. SSO and integration with email servers could have been better and different than just accessing the SMTP servers
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sales automation. Sequences solve the touch point for salespersons.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Evaluate the security concerns first than what the tool itself can do.

Great for BDR and MDR teams

  • September 26, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like out you can create and paste snippets into emails. Also love using the Outbox feature and see which prospects are the most engaged, which helps me prioritize who to reach out to and spend more time on.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration with Salesforce isn't perfect, like most integrations. Sometimes it maps the wrong contact from Salesforce, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an AE, I work mostly inside of Salesforce and opportunities, but when I do prospect, it's very helpful to prioritize prospects who seem to have the most engagement. Sequences and snippets are great for time savings too.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Let me know what specific links in sequences prospects clicked on

Buggy with poor customer service

  • September 26, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can build sequences of emails that are pretty customizable. Can integrate to Gmail and to Salesforce which is useful. There are also some useful reporting functions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customer service is abysmal. Once you're out of the support that you've paid for, it's like you get dropped off of a cliff and the only help that you'll get will be extremely slow (hours to days), and in the form of an article sent your way. If you call them for support they direct you to email. For a system that's so buggy, they should have better customer support to keep people happily using their system.

Outreach is very buggy. There are always issues with speed and with prospects / sequences updating after a change is made. Changes made to sequences or prospects often take minutes to reflect. I often find myself making a change, then switching to some other task while I wait for Outreach's servers to refresh so that I can finally see if the change has taken effect.

Reporting could be more specific. For example you can't really drill down into Account level reporting. For someone who spends most of his day in Outreach instead of Salesforce, this would be very useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're solving email outreach and sales/bd/marketing cadences.

We're seeing our emails going out to the people that we've designated, reaching a large audience and getting metrics based on that like open rates, click rates, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely check out some other options. Work the trial that they give you to see how easy it is for you to use. The system is definitely not very intuitive.

You'll have to pay for your customer service. If you've gone through your paid hours, all you'll get is your customer "success" rep telling you that you're out of hours and that you'll need to file a ticket. Expect to wait hours *at least* to get a response, and expect that response to be in the form of an article from their website.

Outreach Review - Sales

  • September 26, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Keeps track of the previous conversation you have had with your customers. Your whole team can see your emails and call logs. Works well when you work with a team of 2+ because sometimes you might both communicate to the same person. It also syncs with Salesforce which is nice, for the activity and notes. Salesforce -> Salesloft. Plus, they really take feedback and try to improve, their follow up work is great. They did not have all the workflows that worked at our company, but they work with us to add it or try to add it.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you CC people in emails, it will only track to the original person you emailed. This is a pain when you CC people on the daily, you have to go to the other accounts and leave a note.

You can't send anything bigger than 4MG! This is about the size of every presentation we send to our customers/partners. Then I have to send it through Outlook and it does not track in Salesloft.

They don't have one-off blast emails. When I want to email 25+ customers, my manager needs to create the template called "cadence" and then I can blast email.

They did not have one-off tasks, but actually just added it. So, this would have been a negative but now it's a positive!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saves a lot of time and I have my daily work planned with my tasks or cadences. Stats are getting a lot better too!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Worth the investment as it will save time so you can focus on creating more leads.

Great tool for prospecting at scale

  • September 25, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the automation, the ability to do A/B testing, analytics, integrations with salesforce and zoominfo, and the ability to add tags to people, sequences, and templates so you can easily find the right content for the right person.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it worked better with Safari but other than that I have no complaints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
More efficient prospecting, testing what messaging and subject lines work best, eliminating manual work.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you integrate it with a good data source and don't lock down too many features. The key to getting ROI from this product is being able to automate your prospecting and being able to test different types of messaging to see what resonates.

Great tool... with a few kinks

  • September 25, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is rather easy to keep track of your outreach (pun intended) and be efficient in your strategy. You can easily create different sequences and filter through prospects. Primary use cases for me are emails and calls. You can see and link LinkedIn profiles, but it is more intuitive to send connection requests and messages through LinkedIn in a separate window.
What do you dislike about the product?
Every now and then an error will occur which allows a good lead to slip through the cracks unless you pay close attention. It also has certain restrictions, like not being able to rearrange or add steps to the body of a sequence if someone has gone through it. The most recent update has also actually made it less intuitive to select certain preferences. Such as, starting a sequence with a particular template. Another dislike is how often outreach does small updates. It seems like several times a day. I would like to see this reduced to just once a day.

If something is not syncing properly with Salesforce it does not notify you. Example if this is having a variable in Outreach but not in Salesforce. Outreach should be able to track that the variable is not being synced.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gone are the days of keeping track of everyone in an excel sheet. Major benefits are: outreach efficiency, reporting, segmentation of leads, task alerting, and the ability to work almost completely out of one platform.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You're obviously doing research already which is great. There are a lot of people out there using Outreach; try to speak with some of them and get their opinion or have them show you around. If you get it, don't be afraid to explore the tool. It has a lot of great time-saving features that are not always obvious.

Great for outbound prospecting

  • September 25, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Excellent for maintaining organization. Easy to use while still having the features to do complex sequencing and organization, and A/B testing.
What do you dislike about the product?
The headers are long and can get flagged by email systems, but every other vendor has similar issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Staying organized, Managing activity, and taking out repetitive tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would choose it. Integration with Salesforce is great. Outreach everywhere extension.

Great Software, Needs Enhancements

  • September 24, 2019

What do you like best about the product?
Getting good feedback if our emails are resonating or not with our target audience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integrations need to be easier. Our team loved the idea behind the integrations but it was not intuitive enough.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provide quality messaging to a bulk amount of leads. This is an efficient tool.

Great Sales Management Tool

  • September 24, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Outreach is a great tool to use if you have multiple members on your sales time to manage metrics. It is also useful to keep prospect communication and tasks on schedule and documented. I like that is syncs with our SFDC and Zoom so we don't have to update multiple systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am still learning so I don't know all the features yet. It appears to be pretty easy to use thus far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have realized that it is great at keeping me organized as well as tracking KPI's. I have not used it long enough to figure out it's flaws. It would be nice if they had some kind of training inside the app for a quick set up?
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I am a new user of outreach so I am not really sure what I don't know. I would probably suggest getting more training as I am kind of learning it as I go. Great product overall, think it works well as a sales tool
