Good tool for some, not for all
What do you like best about the product?
My team uses Outreach in a more limited capacity than most. We aren't high volume like many Outreach users are; thus we are more limited in our usage of the features. Our team really likes the notifications you get when a prospect opens the email that you sent through Outreach; however, there are limitations that I will address in the "dislike" section. It's also helpful to have the ability to see what other teammates are sending, and what email formats are most successful. The Outreach analytics are fairly cool as well. It's interesting to get a sense of the day/time during each week when emailing is most effective.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have a few gripes with Outreach, particularly pertaining to my favorite aspect of Outreach - the notification system. The way this seems to work is Outreach embeds a small pixel at the bottom of an email you send through the tool and when the email is opened, this triggers a notification that someone has interacted with your email. However, the tool doesn't discern who has opened that email. I like to bcc myself on outbound emails for tracking purposes and when I open an email sent through Outreach, I receive a notification that my prospect has opened the email. This will happen anytime you open the email, so if you're quickly scrolling through a number of emails you've sent prospects, you will receive a ton of false open notifications. I feel like there should be an easy fix to this, maybe code something that says not to trigger a notification when the sender of an email is looking at the email, but it seems like Outreach's "secret sauce" may be more rudimentary than that. Furthermore, if you email a prospect and start a thread, Outreach continues to use the initial pixel embedded in the email to track things, thus making it fairly inaccurate to determine which email a prospect has opened. There have been plenty of examples of times I sent a fifth email to a prospect on the same thread, and I got a notification that my prospect opened the first email I had sent them months prior. Outreach is a low cost tool, so their support isn't great either. My team has had a few issues when our passwords expire, we've been locked out for days and couldn't find someone in support to help us. At one point, we ended up emailing 15-20 people in the company (including the CEO) to help us because we couldn't figure out how to resolve the issue. To Outreach's credit, the CEO responded, but wasn't able to easily and quickly help us resolve the issue. I also don't like how you have to pay additional money to have someone walk through the tool with you. Yes, they have Outreach University where you can teach yourself how to utilize features of the tool, but it isn't very intuitive. Some of the features are clunky as well, where it feels like it should be easier to use. For example, my team still hasn't figured out how to easily use the email template feature successfully for email campaigns.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I mentioned this before, but my team uses Outreach differently than I believe most sales teams do. We really only use the email tracking feature, which has been helpful to better understand what prospects are engaged. Having the basic knowledge that a prospect in interacting with your materials on the other side of a screen has been helpful in determining what is the best strategy/next steps to get the prospect to closure. Outreach has also helped us determine the type of emails that are most effective, allowing us to hone our scripting.
Exciting and extremely useful tool
What do you like best about the product?
Outreach has been a huge help in my demand gen efforts. I appreciate the thoroughness of the prospect information AND the great details on the prospective companies.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only complaint is the limits of outbound messaging that are in place. Which would only be resolved if it was possible to increase the limits or remove them all together .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm solving the issue of having to search mindless hours for new prospects. I can find, engage, book and sell all right there in outreach. With the numbers Im getting now, its been very easy to reach my KPIs.
Pretty satisfied
What do you like best about the product?
I like how I use Outreach as a single source for contacting prospects in almost all forms. It is a super simple, easy way to reach prospects/keep track of prospecting tasks. I love the ability to take notes on specific prospects/accounts allowing me to have a quick refresher of everything I need to know before I call or reach out.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there are bugs that stop my prospecting entirely, but it gets fixed pretty quickly. I also wish that there was a way I could change the location of a prospect in outreach since not every prospect is located in their HQ.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It takes on the responsibility of reminding me/helping me complete necessary tasks. I do not have to worry about forgetting tasks or manually tracking my prospecting.
Outreach is the better sales loft

Nothing I can think of. Really like the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bottom of funnel emails and SDR emails
Great platform for prospecting and outreach
What do you like best about the product?
It's a great tool for organizing contacts into organized outreach patters. You can complete calls, emails, and Linked In messages/connections. I also enjoy that you can take notes on interactions and what happened during calls.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was an auto dialer and that you could complete multiple tasks at one time. Only one window of Outreach should be open at a time otherwise it gets glitchy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prospecting has become simpler and more efficient. It takes you through the steps of calls/emails/other tasks in an easy way and makes you more efficient at doing your job.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good product, very similar to SalesLoft.
Great tool for all sales reps!
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Outreach helps me stay organized throughout the week.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it would be helpful to go to specific stages in a sequence and press play on those. Not sure if this is possible right now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can stay organized and make sure I followup with prospects.

Premium Prospecting Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Dialer, Salesforce integration, intuitive setup, metrics, administrative functions
What do you dislike about the product?
Price is tough if you're not a large sales organization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Standardization of outreach for everyone. Leveraging best practices.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'd recommend having an outreach scientist of some sort who is dedicated to helping your teams maximize your use of Outreach. We lacked a person who held everyone accountable to use the tool and help others best leverage the tool.
Great sales enablement solution
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to organize my prospects/accounts in a meaningful way. I practically live in outreach, all of my notes, emails, and calls happen through outreach and it's how I'm able to stay organized with a large patch and a ton of contacts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The extension can be clunky at times when paired up with salesforce. It took me a while to get used to, and there are still times I have issues with it bouncing around when multiple SFDC tabs are open, but that's about all I can think of.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I solved my lack of organization problem. I was never good at keeping notes in SFDC because it's an absolute pain when you're trying to look through notes from a while ago. I now keep all of my notes in outreach and can see my contact history with both accounts and people without having to dig.
Time saver!
What do you like best about the product?
Outreach helps keep all your tasks in order to make sure you are getting all necessary touches on prospects!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing top of mind I dislike. Only thing is sometimes moving info from salesforce into outreach can be finicky
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time management. Being able to create automatic sequences that are consistently creating client touch points that I may otherwise forget.
