Vimeo is a great place for hosting your productions and have complete privacy control
What do you like best about the product?
We love the fact that we can have full control over how we can embed our videos. The editable player allows us to hide many distracting elements when embedding a video in a website. It's also really well-optimized for embedding background videos without affecting page load.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the new settings panel the've recently launched since I feel that a lot of the essential tools are now spread in different locations, making it harder for users to find, especially when batch-processing videos.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vimeo provides the perfect solution to host and embed videos in specific locations such as websites and landing pages, while keeping them private from the public.
Best for high-quality gated or hidden content
What do you like best about the product?
Vimeo definitely has the most streamlined user-facing design, much more modern and professional, and it hosts the best high-quality video. It is the best option in my opinion for gated, hidden, or otherwise not outward-facing public-oriented videos.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a bit expensive once you start wanting to add more features, and potentially harder to use for novices and not as useful for getting views by organic reach as YouTube.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vimeo is just a nicer, higher-quality, more professional alternative to YouTube. It has more features that are desirable for a marketing team using hosted videos for landing pages, nurture sequences, classes, etc.
Great for various types of video content
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to create showcases for our different types of video content. I also really love how easy it is to embed content within our other platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
There seems to be a lot of upselling for very minor product features, without a ton of impact.

It is giving us a centralized spot for our video content — both internal and externally facing.
Vimeo Records Video with Ease
What do you like best about the product?
Video is a good video platform that also has extensions for recording video right from your browser. You're able to screenrecord, have an option to record with the camera, and easily download or share the link with your coworkers for review.
What do you dislike about the product?
Vimeo recording may lag at times. Although they have updated the app and website, there's no real significant changes even after a few years of use. There could be some tools or features that may be handy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vimeo is great for recording videos and sharing with others.
Easy to use with a great number of options for embedding videos
What do you like best about the product?
It is an inexpensive option for hosting videos that allows you to control the experience the viewer has. On YouTube, the viewer will get served up other video options. Here, you can put a stop to it and decide what is at the end of a video. It is easy to integrate into other websites.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't see a downside. I have had nothing but good experiences.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allowed me to have my videos show on platforms that didn't have video hosting without advertisements or serving up someone else's videos after mine was done. Much more reasonably priced than other options.
Good, But Not Great
What do you like best about the product?
I like the quality of the playback and the ability to host inexpensively for professional use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think it's the most intuitive application out there. I find some of the settings a bit frustrating, such as making a video private, embeddable, hidden from Vimeo, etc. It just doesn't always behave as expected. I wish I had more simple controls for determining how videos would appear when I share link -- what other videos would appear nearby, etc.

Its storage capacity, ease to upload & link videos to website, and use a personalised template to ensure all videos have the same aesthetics. Great for privacy & limiting access to specific videos.

Lack of exposure compared to YouTube. Not as prevalent as YouTube which impacts marketing activity.

Best Screen recoder i ever use
What do you like best about the product?
One thing which is I really liked about Vimeo is their "showcase" feature. Which allow us to create a video portfolio as well

Yes, there is something that review should want to improve which is their ui because some of the ui feature is looking complex especially when managing large video libraries or navigating settings
