Good Video-hosting provider

  • November 08, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Vimeo is an excellent tool to have for hosting videos and allowing people to Livestream those videos without any latency issues, and it gives us a smooth experience. We can also host live webinars and events using Vimeo, which is a very useful feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
Vimeo lack features like enhancing Livestream videos and adding delay to them. Their audio quality is also a little bit below the quality mark that you can expect from it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vimeo is helping me conduct regular webinars with my customers to keep them updated on our offerings. Vimeo is also helping me to conduct live sessions, which helps me a lot.

A must have for any business who produces video content

  • October 26, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use and great for building a portfolio of work, you can personalize your page with the video positioning and categorize them into folders which helps future clients find videos easier. I particularly like the simplicity of sharing the video with clients via private links rather than file sharing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't find many negatives for Vimeo, and overall my experience has been a positive one. The only thing that comes to mind is that repositioning the videos can take a while when you're doing it in bulk. We had to unpin each video individually, we tried to google a quicker/easier option but couldn't find anything; that's not to say it could be a user error.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to showcase and share videos with prospects and clients. Creating an engaging page of our content, increasing brand awareness and organizing them based on style or industry for convenient watching.

Great platform for sharing video content between teams

  • October 11, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We often have multiple teams working on different stages of video content, and Vimeo allows us to organize and share content back and forth between users with a clear sense of where we are in a project.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside I have noticed as a user is that it took some time to figure out how content was organized, and we occasionally run into a bug and can't save a video with a review link.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vimeo makes it possible for content creators, multimedia editors and clients to each see what they need while developing video content without creating extra difficulties for one another.

The Best Simplistic Live-Streaming Option If You're Low-Tech

  • October 04, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Minimalistic live TV production software value as a crazy low cost. We received the app free when we bought a 3rd MEVO camera in 2019. MEVO was bought by Livestream. Livestream was bought by Vimeo. Logitech just bought the MEVO camera hardware brand.
What do you dislike about the product?
Well, if you have an issue, it is difficult to find user generated answers in a forum because "Livestream Studio" is the most generic name and usually the subtitle to any competitor brand "[Brand Name here] livestreaming studio app"
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have an error message and not any searchable solution avenues. For example, we are getting UNKNOWN ERROR and can't use the app. Now, we we have to spend a lot of time figuring out why.

Multi-functional as a filmmaker and as a viewer

  • September 27, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Vimeo's versatility is what makes it one of the best video solutions for filmmakers. It offers private links, password links, the ability to screen record which is great if you are needing to make a proof of concept teaser, has decent editing functions (although limited) and integrates well with websites.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only real complaint is when trying to use Vimeo as a streaming platform service, especially when working with partnering venues. You have to upload your film for each particular screening event. Personally, it would make life a lot easier if you can use the same video link but change your screening options (ticketed, free, expiration dates, discount codes, offer donation or choose your own ticket price) for each event and give its own unique link.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
sharing videos privately mostly. I'd love to use it as a public program option, and have, but its very limited in that arena. However, the options for keeping the links private is useful.

    Primary/Secondary Education

I would recommend but there are features that need to be talked about for the OTT experience.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the professional feel of the platform, especially on Roku.
What do you dislike about the product?
Main dislike would be that videos are broken into parts and that there are no recurring keys.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are hoping that vimeo is going to be able to have recurring keys so that we can have a daily episode of something on our site.

Great platform that is user friendly

  • September 13, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the automatic transfer of my livestream yoga classes from Zoom into my Vimeo account. It makes it much easier for me to get content to my subscribers almost immediately after class.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe it's my internet speed, which I've upgraded, but sometimes it takes forever to open and play videos in my account. I also would like to see cut and paste options in the video trimming features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The integration of Zoom with Vimeo has saved me a lot of time. The privacy settings are beneficial as I'm able to set which videos are public, private, unlisted and hidden.
