A Great Video Hosting Platform
What do you like best about the product?
We use Vimeo's API which has proven to be robust enough for our business needs. Our favorite feature is the detailed analytics we can get on each viewer who views the video.
What do you dislike about the product?
We put a lot of videos into Vimeo and we've found it hard to organize them in a way that makes them easy to find when accessing them via the website. However, since we primarily use the API, this isn't a big ussue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to have a seamless way to display user-generated videos onto our platform as well as obtain analytics on who viewed those videos. It was also important that the API was extremely stable.
Great Service Overall
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface, the recognizable brand of Vimeo, and the great back-end tools for uploading and hosting videos. Hosting is included in the price.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our internet connection was sometimes intermittent, so if our internet cut out Vimeo would just end the livestream instead of giving our equipment a chance to reconnect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We initially went with Vimeo to livestream (before COVID) to Vimeo and syndicate to other livestream sites and then host those and other pre-recorded videos. It was effective until we started running into Internet connectivity issues that we could not solve with Vimeo.
Good for basic needs
What do you like best about the product?
If I need some general clips this is a great resource to find clips. I am able to fill empty spaces in my promotional videos and create a branded feel.
What do you dislike about the product?
at time I need spmething pretty specific which is understandably harder to find on the stock images.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am fixing my problem with finding content that fits my brand and fills empty spots in my videos to make them seems more seemless and full. It has elevated the quality of my videos.
Vimeo is easy to use and yet also very robust.
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is easy to use. Plus, it continues to grow. There is ample storage, easy video sharing and review features, plus you can now do simple cuts in your videos.
What do you dislike about the product?
The team is constantly listening to customers and making improvements. I have no dislikes.

Vimeo makes it easy for us to share both draft videos as well as finished products. Plus it serves as a library where we can store and share lots of our videos.

Easy to use, good dashboard, easy file system, several featured options

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need to download/upload videos for virtual events and Vimeo provides the place to do it. The benefit to have it in one platform, that I can organize by events, and being able to go public/private gives me a lot flexibility.
So many options from hosting, live-streaming, VOD, and subscriptions.
What do you like best about the product?
I love all of the options you get with Vimeo. Not just video hosting for your website or social media, but their livestream platform is the highest quality and gives you the most options. Their Livestream studio software is like having a remote studio truck running on your computer. Live events that use to take a team of 5 people can be done with one person and a computer. Their subscription and VOD options are also so easy to use to let anyone sell their video content direct to viewers.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish they would release more livestream features. The Livestream studio software has been on version 6 for many years. They also could do more with the client-side of livestreaming like breakout rooms, and a registration system. Their current live event management system is a little pricey and doesn't have all of the robust features you would like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can do live stream all employee meetings to our 2,000 global employes easily and make the production quality so high with the livestream studio software. The livestream studio software also allows you to bring in remote guests. This makes doing live events with talent in and outside of our studio seamless. The software also have video playback and GFX. We also host all of the videos for our website on Vimeo since you can control so much about the player. We love being able to push videos directly from Vimeo to our social media channels as well. It makes using the platform easy, seamless and robust.

Vimeo has a ton of features and can handle any type of video delivery you are looking for.

What do you like best about the product?
The organization features for the videos! The ability to group videos together and make them easy to find with the folder structure is what some other video platforms lack.
What do you dislike about the product?
There can be some fairly frequent outages that are frustrating especially as we use this for business. And they aren't always resolved quickly and there is typically nothing you can do about it as the user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We solved storage and organization issues. Now we can easily find videos no matter how old they are. We have benefited from the constant advancements and new features that Vimeo is constantly adding to the platform.

Don't hesitate to reach out to Vimeo team, they are always willing to help and they love feedback.

THe organization of videos on the back-end interface is a bit confusing and not intuitive.

Since Covid, there has been an increase in video content being produced, and Vimeo has been a clutch for our web and event services.

What do you like best about the product?
There are so many options to choose from and such great quality. It is always my go to.

I dislike that sometimes I can not find exactly what I am looking for, but I can usually make it work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating videos and marketing pieces using the stock they provide, which is more cost effective than a photographer.
