What do you like best about the product?
Vimeo is very convenient to use for all video hosting services. Vimeo is used as a video hosting tool for embedding videos on various websites. The key advantage of Vimeo is that it can display videos without any advertisments or related/suggested videos. Vimeo is also very easy to implement, the embedded code for the videos can be obtained from the same page as the video itself and its easy to edit/modify to make it according to the various requirements that we need.
What do you dislike about the product?
Vimeo is at times glitchy in the implementation. Also the UI is not as attractive and user friendly as other platforms like YouTube. For most queries you can get support online. There is also a limit on the video hosting service as Vimeo is a freemium service which requies you to subscribe after a certain stage. Overall compared to YouTube, Vimeo has its advantages and disadvantages in its use and implementation
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Vimeo as a platform for hosting videos and embedding them on various websites. It is also helpful in adding videos without additional clutter like advertisments and related videos which are present in YouTube. Also its pretty convinient to use Vimeo to add and play embedded videos in a loop.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Vimeo is great to use, very convenient to use for all video-related requirements; start with the basic options that are provided; for more complicated requirements, you can check for the specific use cases on Stack Overflow. So for complicated requirements tha you will need to implement can be queried and answers sought out on the web.
Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
Vimeo is extremely user-friendly once you get used to the platform. I love that the videos are of professional quality.
What do you dislike about the product?
The selection of videos is lacking. For the price point, it would be nice to see a wider variety of videos. It would also be nice to be notified when new material is available for users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vimeo saves me from having to create every aspect of a social media advertisement. It cuts my workload down immensely to have videos ready to insert into my projects.
Best Stock Videos
What do you like best about the product?
Video stock has the best selection of stock videos to use for advertisements. They make it easy to search for what you need with reasonable prices.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little confusing to upload content at first, but their customer service is helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use video stock to find royalty free videos to make advertisements. They prices are good, especially if you have a membership.

What do you like best about the product?
We loved that this was a place we could host password protected videos to be shared with some of our partners. It took us a while to find a solution to fit our needs and this was perfect.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing we disliked about the platform. It suited all our needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had a lot of training videos that needed a place to be hosted, but also not open for just anyone to access. These videos were sent to partners easily through the vimeo link and were password protected which was huge for us. This made it easy to host/send all our training in one place.
A Great Solution for Video Live Streaming and more!
What do you like best about the product?
Embedding videos is so simple, changing your audience to only domains that you choose, live streaming. You can't get a better video service than Vimeo!

Nothing! It's such a user-friendly, reliable service to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Compared to YouTube live streaming, Vimeo is much simpler to set up and embed on a website. Also, being able to show Vimeo videos only on certain domains is a huge benefit.
Intuitive to use
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to easily edit thumbnails and to add calls to action with links
What do you dislike about the product?
The new ratings tab which, if not reviewed, causes some videos to be unviewable until a setting (which at the time of uploading your attention is not drawn to), is changed.

We are hosting our property tour videos without adverts showing alongside.

Our favorite thing about Vimeo is the video quality and custom touches that you can add to the video player and public-facing account page
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not a huge fan of their pricing model and the upload limits depending on the tier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was using vimeo to send client-ready review files but frame.io has become a much better solution. We use our vimeo pro account to host videos.

What do you like best about the product?
Vimeo let's you start for free and remain free for a long time. When it's time to upgrade, the upgrade options are reasonably priced. Vimeo On Demand is a great service also.
What do you dislike about the product?
Vimeo doesn't have a main website portion for users like YouTube does. It's focussed on creators and not viewers. It could improve on this and have both creator and non-creator accounts.

Vimeo is video hosting. It's great of you want a YouTube alternative but it has its negatives and positives when compared to YouTube.
Update on VIMEO
What do you like best about the product?
I opened an account at streamable to take some of the load off. At the same time Vimeo seems to have changed. Things are better now. I use their simulated live feature a lot. It rarely goes live and we have to tell people to hit refresh to start the stream. They say it is the browsers fault but it never happens when I do a live stream
That's really the only complaint that I have now. Otherwise, it's all good.
4/23/2026 Update. Things have changed at Vimeo. It seems they have been purchased by Bending Spoons which is my FAVORITE company on this earth. I love what they do and how they do it. That is funny because they also own Streamable which I talked about earlier. Well done!

What do you dislike about the product?
I still have a problem with the streams not starting when I use the simulated live feature but its a minor thing now. We just had to put a notice up telling people to hit refresh if it does not start.

The simulated live feature is a game changer.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Boxcast,DaCast,Wowza- There are so many providers now that there are a ton of choices. Google Live streaming providers otherwise you end up with Netflix and Hulu.
