An ideal video website for professional creators and high resolution video
What do you like best about the product?
Vimeo gives us the ability to host our high definition video without minimal compression. The video that we intend for others to view is usually kept in tact with Vimeo. We also have the option to make an uncompressed version of our videos available, so that can be helpful for sharing files when working on editing activities with people remotely. Using Vimeo within their website itself has many advantages since people can leave feedback directly underneath videos. They also have several tools for sharing our videos in other platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
The video service has been outstanding, but the fees for the premium plans are arguably on the high end compared to other video services with comparable features and storage limits. I think that there could be more ways for the account holders at Vimeo to generate revenue from their videos too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I got to Vimeo first when I need to post videos online that are of the highest quality and can play quickly and smoothly. By loading our videos through Vimeo, we are able to minimize the use of resources in our web hosting accounts, which can save money and reduce the amount of work and maintenance required to get videos uploaded, archived and organized.

For high quality playback online, Vimeo is an outstanding choice as a video hosting solution. You can reduce the amount of bandwidth you website visitors expend by embedding your Vimeo videos into your website with simple embed codes.

What do you like best about the product?
The feel of the Vimeo is much more professional than other leading video websites like YouTube. They offer a good variety of service plans for those that are just starting out and those that want a extensive amount of features and storage capacity. When we load videos, they appear very sharp and play smoothly. With just a single short snippet of web code, we can add the videos to our website and reduce the amount of bandwidth and storage space used in our regular web hosting account.
What do you dislike about the product?
Vimeo performs well in every way that we need it too. I think if they could add more search engine optimization features, that could be better for us when trying to host content related to particular keywords. I think if they could add some advanced editing and captioning features, that could improve the service as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Instead of hosting digital videos from our web hosting account, we can quickly upload them to our Vimeo account and have the videos load from there. It's very important that our videos load quickly and smoothly for our viewers and Vimeo has been consistent in being able to present our videos with good loading speeds and image quality.

Even though it might not seem like videos take up lots of resources in your web hosting, they can certainly add up and over time reduce the amount of bandwidth available for use. So a video hosting service like Vimeo can help to free up those resources.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the Vimeo staff picks on the front page. The curation is so good and spot on I know I can find something good. Also had a problem recently and was shocked how fast the Vimeo team responded and helped me through it.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is very little I dislike. Maybe just a complaint that streaming seems slower compared to YouTube on slower connections.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for file transfer between us and customers who are looking to screen films. It’s so much easier compared to Dropbox. It’s both cheaper and easier for our customers to use. We also have so many options with adding in .srt files and everything.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just go for the pro status. It’s a fair monthly price and the only way to use Vimeo. It doesn’t help enough with the limited data uploads if you’re a free hser

What do you like best about the product?
I like vimeo because I upload the videos of my workshops that I dictate online, and my clients sadisface the quality with which they see the video, without any error or fall of the platform. Thanks to vimeo I have improved my way of working and organizing my videos, I also like its ease when registering, Uploading the video is not very difficult very happy for vimeo and me, since I have the right platform to trust to upload my videos . security and confidence in the palm of your hand.
What do you dislike about the product?
The internal user interface can be awkward at times, sometimes it can get lost there. But in general, it works well and allows you to save presets on some things that facilitate consistency. that is, each video has the same qualities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the problems of running out of storage space. This is a great way to upload additional videos. We also frequently need to send videos to other places and we use Vimeo for that. Other companies and platforms can easily see the video we are sharing. The insert option is great! It is very easy to grab the code and voila. You can also share a link to any video that uploads directly to your own social media page. This is easier than going through the trouble of directly uploading a video to Facebook or Twitter that can clog your system. Vimeo Pro also gives you the option to see those "statistics" in each individual video you uploaded. It shows how many people have played your video, the impressions made and the reproduction rate. You can also link your Vimeo to Google Analytics to be more attentive. Mainly we only use Vimeo Pro for uploading videos itself.

Vimeo has been a good option for video hosting, with a good quality ratio, I recommend it.
Professionals Use This - Great To Discover & House Quality Content
What do you like best about the product?
There's YouTube and then there is Vimeo - it feels like two very separate places to house your creative content. As a film/tv producer, this just attracts more of the audience I'm looking for when sharing my videos.
What do you dislike about the product?
Even with the professional version, it's very easy to reach the upload capacity too quickly - this is a problem when you house a lot of content on Vimeo for clients to review.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is a one place site for all of my video content for my business. It allows my clients to find videos either publicly or privately in an online environment that feels more private/prestigious than YouTube. This feels like it was made for filmmakers, as opposed to YouTube influencers/bloggers.

This is a great service and platform! Definitely worth purchasing the business version.

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to use multiple platforms in a live broadcast. Powerpoints, Video, Voice, polls, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Bandwidth with 800+ people was tough. Video when expanded into full screen was blurry and resolution was not particular keen on the eyes.

There aren't many ways to customize embedding of videos that I have found.

I like that you can have private playlists that you can share with just a few select people.
Great for Sharing Rough Cuts
What do you like best about the product?
I use vimeo to send rough cuts of videos to clients. It works great for this purpose. I also like the ability to "replace" videos as I create new versions, which keeps the library from getting cluttered and prevents me from having to constantly send the client new links.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that the "converting" time was just factored into the upload. It's a bit unsatisfying to see that your video is uploaded but is not viewable, I would prefer to just wait. Also, when uploading a replacement video, sometimes the review tools link doesn't update to the conversion page right away. My workaround is to go back to my videos page after uploading and head to review tools from there, but it's an extra step.

The problems Vimeo solves for me is having a quick way to share high quality cuts of videos with clients.

It's a great quality player. Not as big as YouTube if you want people to find your videos organically, but it is great for maintaining quality and sharing videos directly (emailing links, embedded in your website, etc).

We keep all of our videos from the past several years in one place. It's easy to make things public or private, to upload and download, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice if you could organize it differently. The way it's set up, you can only see a few things on your screen so it's harder to find what you're looking for or get a good sense of what's available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed someone to store and share livestream footage, video footage, etc. and Vimeo has been a really good fit for that.
