Livestream for your business
What do you like best about the product?
How your company can use livestream for conferences and meetings that you can't attend, or want to appear on.
What do you dislike about the product?
for those who don't have an account that maybe contractors, it maybe a little hard to access the livestream meetings if you're not around a strong internet connection
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
mobility and accessibility for our teams
Excellent site to host your professional video
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use and a professional platform to showcase film and video. Good for showing clients. Easy to embed on websites. I also love the feature that allows clients to comment on videos at specific points and provide feedback -- good for situations where you are a work for hire and uploading rough cuts of a project and want your client's feedback.
What do you dislike about the product?
When showcasing original content/film, it can be challenging to get "noticed" in the crowd. Vimeo features a "staff picks" but they receive a lot of submissions and requests for that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hosting video online in a professional manner. You can also privately upload video to share with clients. One of the services we provided was creating original content and there is a service that allows viewers to specify feedback to specific frames.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Professional way to host video. Excellent platform when creating original content and working with outside clients.
Good alternative for youtube
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to share video’s without having to send people the original file.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free version has not enough storage to use every week.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Promoting my work is made very easy this way.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Easy to use and feels more private than youtube.
Livestream is the best solution for livestreaming events
What do you like best about the product?
Livestream is incredibly easy to use and helps you display great livestream quality at a reasonable price.
What do you dislike about the product?
In the past, we have had Livestream's servers fail during our events. There was a month or so last year where it was happening sporadically and we almost started looking into other providers. However, they reached out to us and let us know they were working hard on updating their servers and since then we haven't had any issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We first started creating a livestream video setup about 2 years ago. Once having the necessary equipment in place, we started checking out providers on a trial basis. After testing multiple providers out, Livestream worked with our current setup seamlessly.
Can be better than YouTube
What do you like best about the product?
If you are marketing to healthcare, finance services (banks, credit unions, etc.) or other heavily regulated industries I see a huge advantage to hosting videos on Vimeo - it is usually not blocked. YouTube hosted videos usually do not get through the firewall.
What do you dislike about the product?
Doesn't have the exposure of YouTube to common search like on Google.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Again, great for sending video links to organizations in heavily regulate industries.
Great for our client videos
What do you like best about the product?
I love that there are no ads on our videos and the upload is quick! I also enjoy getting to customize the embed code and the way it is presented on other websites.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the limit to how much you can upload in a given amount of time, but we have not run into any issues after purchasing the pro account.I don't like the limit to how much you can upload in a given amount of time, but we have not run into any issues after purchasing the pro account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vimeo gives us a place to house all of our video marketing material with easy to share capabilities
Vimeo for TV Commercial sales
What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact that we can control who has access to our videos by providing them with a password to view. Also, I like the fact that we can turn off the embed feature so that people cannot steal our work. I also love the reporting tool so we can see how many viewers watch our commercials after we send out an email blast with a link to the videos.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have no complaints with Vimeo in the time we have been using it. Everything has always worked well and I haven't had any issues with it crashing or anything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a way to share examples of our television commercials with our potential clients without having them be completely visible to our competitors as well. Vimeo has been the perfect solution.
Best Of The Best For Video Streaming
What do you like best about the product?
Incredibly user-friendly interface. Connectivity with other platforms. Easy to implement for a a church or group of any size.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customer support has been a bit challenging to deal with at times. Have had occasional issues with streams losing connectivity. Generally an extremely positive experience overall though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Livestream has allowed our church to not only have a easily accessible database of past services, but to broaden our outreach to get our message out to the world!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking to broadcast your service or other meeting to the masses, I can think of no better solution than Livestream. They are the standard in the streaming business for a reason. The quality of video, the ease of use, the easily accessible database of previous recordings - Facebook, Youtube, and other streaming sites just don't cut it for a professional business. That's why you need LIvestream.
Faster than YouTube
What do you like best about the product?
Vimeo seems to be much faster at processing larger files than YouTube, so I prefer their platform when I have to share large videos. They also have less filtering when it comes to copyright flags. (So they don't automatically flag a video if you put music on it).
What do you dislike about the product?
I guess the only thing I dislike is the lack of monetization that you can utilize on YouTube.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I really like the sharing options, which are diverse, and allow for you to access the embed code very easily and quickly. YouTube seems to have a lot more issues with digging to get that information. With Vimeo you just have to click and it's there.
Helpful for infrequent streamers
What do you like best about the product?
We stream 2 1-hour events a week, and the Livestream basic account meets all our needs. Livestream's level of subscription fits our current needs. We were nervous about the acquisition by Vimeo but will stay with Livestream for the time being.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not possible to move a post if it was categorized incorrectly at first. The inability to edit a post in this way is particularly troubling (requires you to get it right the first time, and who does that 100% of the time?!)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our people are getting our content when before they simply had to miss out on the experience. We find our clients are more informed because they have access to Livestream.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Livestream was recently acquired by Vimeo, so it's possible the experience will change under new ownership. I know we didn't like Vimeo's new subscription offerings--it's unclear when we'll be forced to choose.
