Easy to use for workflows!
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of building forms, and building workflows. Being able to plan and structure step-by-step processes for work is extremely helpful when training team members and ensuring nothing gets missed. I also like how easy it is to build in tables.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I've always wanted from the workflows, is the ability to auto-assign different stages in a workflow based on whoever was assigned on a previous stage. From conversations I've had with Submittable, I found that that is not possible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides an easy way to have online applications.
Easy to use for both staff and applicants
What do you like best about the product?
The back end is very intuitive and easy to adjust as needs arise. Help for grantmakers and applicants is responsive and easy to find. Getting projects up and running is easy, and it's easy to adjust for quality
What do you dislike about the product?
The few things I have complained about have been updated, like not being able to see applications in draft to support applicant orgs better, that was just updated recently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously any grant applicant or RFQ applicant had to submit a paper application and attachments, often in multiple duplications so that every reviewer had a copy. We are making it easier for applicants and reviewers; cutting down printed materials significantly. As a grant manager, Submittable makes my job easier from the beginning to the end of the funding. The data management across programs has been a game changer as well!

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to keep track of submissions and an excellent customer service team. Super-responsive when we've had issues
What do you dislike about the product?
The ability to run reports has been a challenge, despite the massive integration of our entire back catalog of stuff
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Makes the online application process easier for more people to access. We're a state agency, and Submittable has created a home for all of our submission material. The ability for clients to edit their applications has been a great feature, as well.
Excellent support via email
What do you like best about the product?
Bright Funds support helped me get a small nonprofit on the IRS list and also on my company's approved list of nonprofits. Extremely helpful!
What do you dislike about the product?
It could be better if there was a section in FAQ for what to do if a nonprofit is not in the list of approved nonprofits.

Perfect platform for company wide corporate philanthropy initiatives
What do you like best about the product?
Bright Funds has been the perfect fit for our company. The platform is easy for employees to engage with, offers countless ways to engage employees through a variety of volunteering and fundraising initiatives and provides great insite into impact and outcomes for our comanywide initiatives. The Bright Funds team is outstanding about answering questions and ensuring we are maximizing product features.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing we dislike about Bright Funds. It truly meets our needs for our corporate giving initiaitves.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bright Funds has allowed us to easily implement matching gifts, paid volunteer time and community grants management. We can successfully launch fundriaisng campaigns, organize volunteer events and manage our entire grant process in the plaform. Additonally, we can easily see our impact and engagement through the trackig tools offered throught the admin portal.
Our Go-To Product for Applications
What do you like best about the product?
There is a lot of customization available for our Submittable projects which allow us to gather data and ask questions that will lead us to developing better programs for our applicants. It is also easy to navigate as a new user.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a need for a more configured CRM and the lack of one really adds time to our workteam as we use a third-party software to coordinate with Submittable to get the information collection we need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Submittable is used for our applicants to submit their requests for funding through our grant opportunities. Internally, we can review and adapt our applications to best-fit the organizations we are working with. Submittable takes out the organization load that comes along with one-by-one application requests and allows us to categorize and project manage various applications at one time. We use this product for all our applications and also for data gathering.
Grant Management made Easy!
What do you like best about the product?
Submittable is easy to navigate while managing several grant applications, files, and funding modules. It is easy to use, accessible to multiple people on a team or within an organization. Keeps things organized and can be integrated with DocuSign.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that when creating a Project the form fields are standard and there is not the ability to create non traditional fields or unique fields that would be beneficial to specifics of our grant applications. Limited modification options.
Also there is not an integration to Quickbooks.

Managing multi year grants and integrating with DocuSign.

What do you like best about the product?
A very easy to use system for customers and the staff team. Helps save us 100's of staff hours every year.

Would be great for people to make multiple entries more quickly

A easy system for us customers to use and make the management of customer submissions quick and simple
Dedicated Customer Service
What do you like best about the product?
Submittable streamlined our Call to Artists application process by eliminating many cumbersome steps, like accessing emails and downloading and uploading images and artist statements. Any needs we had relating to the functions of Submittable, like how to create subroutines or how to add a function, were immediately addressed by their customer service.
What do you dislike about the product?
HEIC file type not supported. This is the file type for some iPhones
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Submittable solved the problem of juggling emails and images, saving uploading and downloading to multiple platforms
Highly Recommend Submittable for your grant review needs
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and we can see all attchments in the review screen without having to toggle between different documents. The system is user friendly - it's easy to build out guidelines and review documents. Additionally the Submittable team's customer service is TOP NOTCH!
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that's challenging is not having a CRM attached to Submittable - sure wish this existed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When we end up with viewability issues their customer service team is quick to respond and assist us with solutions.
