What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most about Smartling is how much it has reduced the time I spend managing multilingual marketing. Its capability to automatically detect new content, send it for translation, and then publish it without manual intervention is incredibly helpful. I also value its seamless integration with platforms such as WordPress and Adobe AEM, as this removes the need to copy and paste translated content entirely.
What do you dislike about the product?
Up to now, I have found that it's seldom required to generate custom reports in order to obtain very specific insights into the productivity of individual languages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I strongly recommend the Smartling platform if you are seeking a robust, automated, and high-quality localization solution. It has helped me overcome the persistent issue of out-of-context translations, which has made expanding into new markets and increasing content volume much simpler. With its native integrations, Smartling seamlessly connects the translation process to other platforms, effectively reducing technological friction.

What do you dislike about the product?
At times, the customization options and the level of detail available in some dashboards and metrics reports—such as those tracking progress and quality—could be more intuitive and thorough. This would allow for a more detailed analysis of ROI and supplier efficiency.

Smartling has streamlined my workflows, significantly cutting down the time required to launch new content and reducing the likelihood of errors. It has equipped me with the tools I need to maintain full control over both quality and process in multiple languages, which helps ensure that our brand voice stays consistent worldwide. If your goal is to achieve rapid scalability by removing manual operational tasks, Smartling is indispensable.
Useful Tool, But Interface and GitHub Integration Need Work
What do you like best about the product?
When it works I don't have to think about it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the interface is clunky and confusing. The Github integration is flaky. Sometimes the translations aren't right and it's a pain getting them corrected and resent to github.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Smartling to translate strings for our website. I write code and it gets sent to smartling for translation and then a PR appears to merge the new translation strings into my PR.
Decent Experience, But Room for Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
The connectors are straightforward to use once you follow the instructions. I appreciate the automation features, and the user interface clearly displays the status of translations, making it easy to understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
Databases are not shared across projects, so a word translated in one project is not recognized as the same in another, even if the word and its context are identical.

We need translations to reach a global audience, and this is allowing us to do that

its complexity to navigate for a new user, that is one has to learn it before using.

It solves the challenge of solving multilingual projects efficiently, for me it centralises translation and automate workflows making my work easier.
Fast and reliable
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, many features that competitors software lack, use of AI, customer support. No downtime
What do you dislike about the product?
None that I can think of, it really is my favourite tool. If any, I would like to have more AI options to choose from/the possibility to edit AI suggestions.

Smartling has a robust feature list, allows you to customize it yourself to use your own linguists or theirs depending on workflow, your own LLM or theirs, depending on workflow, and it has integrations with many platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find their platform outdated and clunky. The UI/UX is not intuitive and needs an overhaul.

Smartling is keeping all our translations in one place and is a source of truth for final versions. Its TM is applicable across projects.
