The best translation tool on the market
What do you like best about the product?
I’ve been working with Smartling for almost ten years, and it’s by far the easiest and most intuitive platform I’ve used. The interface is clean and attractive, with all the features translators need to get their work done efficiently. What I appreciate most is how their team is always innovating and rolling out new technology, making sure linguists have access to the latest tools to simplify our job.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Quality Checks feature could be improved by adding an option to select and ignore multiple issues at once. This would make it easier for translators to dismiss false positives of the same type instead of having to go through them one by one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartling simplifies translation process, helping linguists deliver localized content to a global audience faster.
All-in-one solution with great support
What do you like best about the product?
It’s easy to use and very intuitive. I can check TB and TM in real time, which makes my work faster and smoother. I also like being able to flag and track issues, as it helps me communicate with PMs and clients quickly and get feedback. The Smartling PMs are always friendly and responsive, and the automated invoice system is very convenient.
What do you dislike about the product?
It’s difficult to manage large projects because the platform slows down. Also, more detailed sorting and filtering options would make handling big projects easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s very convenient to handle everything in one platform—translation tasks, issue flagging, and invoices. Even if a problem comes up, the PMs respond quickly, so I rarely experience any major inconvenience.

Smartling recognized my talent as a translator and gave me opportunities for growth.
What do you dislike about the product?
I often miss the greater control over the user interface and features that you get with native CAT tools. Some features and customizability is sacrificed for ease of use.

All in 1 place. Ease of taking and finishing the jobs. Good communication with PMs when needed.

None. I just want more and more work. Ready to take all the jobs and enormous volumes.

User-friendly platform
What do you like best about the product?
Smartling has been improving and evolving toward user-friendliness over the past decade, during which I've been a translator and editor using it to provide services to various client accounts. Style guides are integrated into the UI. TM searches can be easily performed.

The amount of work received from the platform has recently gone down.

Smartling helps connect translators and editors to clients who need translation and localization services.
Best deadlines, best rates
What do you like best about the product?
Rates are excellent. customer service is great. it is easy to use. has a lot of features. easy to be integrated. I use it frequently. you can implement it as a basic service in your work.

Rarely you may face delayed support response

Removing Language barriers so that any one can benefit from knowledge wherever is is originated.
Translations done accurately, quickly, and hassle-free
What do you like best about the product?
I love logging on and knowing exactly what I have to translate, who the client is, when it's due, and the scope and instructions... all easily available in an intuitive platform. The technology and workflow are great too. Strings, glossaries, and translation memories are clear, which makes work very enjoyable. Hitting the Submit key is very satisfying too, when everything is done and ready to go.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there is always room for improvement when you're dealing with translation platforms. As a translator, occasionally something pops up where I say, "Ah, this workflow could be a little different here". Luckily though, Smartling is always on top of this and constantly updating and making changes to improve the platform for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartling is always growing and adapting. There is always new technology being implemented in the translation workflow, and that makes our work move faster and more accurately. So, new AI assisted functions are working more and more smoothly, making it easier to trust the results that come in.
A practical and reliable platform for translation tasks

What sets this platform apart is how it has transformed anonymous translators into recognized contributors with a clear identity. Beyond that, it is equipped with a rich array of technical features designed to streamline and elevate the translation process.
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s nothing significant enough to dislike about this platform, but improvements can be made. For instance, translators should be able to view reviewer changes even after submitting a job.

As a translator, I’ve had the opportunity to work on many large projects on this platform. I have been active here for several years, consistently receiving assignments, and the fact that this tool is free is a significant advantage for me.

There are no real downsides, but I would like to have the option of using a dark mode.

This platform ensures prompt payment for translators and stands out as an excellent solution for delivering timely, high-quality translations. It can be seamlessly integrated into a wide range of websites and platforms, making it a versatile choice for various needs.

They use a third-party financial company to handle monthly payments, and there have been a few incorrect transactions made to me.

As a freelance translator, I find that Smartling provides an excellent platform for handling translation jobs, offering useful AI features and effective glossary management tools to support my work.
