SecOps should be using Tines.

  • October 25, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Tines is the easiest and least complicated automation tool that I've tried so far. The UI is very aesthetic and easy on the eyes.
The engineers are responsive and quick to provide answers or additional information.
I've made a few feature requests and they delivered in just a couple of months.
Very impressed.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is not really a dislike, more of a concern.
The UI has changed so much that I'm concerned that it will just get bloated and lose the simplicity that it started with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lack of resources makes automation a requirement. Tines provides a middle-ware that joins all of the APIs from our enterprise apps together.
I can integrate anything that has an API to provide contextual data and automate low-level responses.
We can use Tines to exercise some of the logic and tasks that we would normally do manually.
Saves a lot of time and effort.

Strong Low-code Automation Platform that can be a good Force Multiplier for teams

  • October 21, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The main strength of Tines is the large integration library- we can connect to Jira, Lacework, Gsuite, and other vendors as needed. Tying all these SaaS products together yields unique business capabilities. The documentation, especially the in-line remediation, is best-in-class.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see first-class support in Tines for integration with a version control system- I would like to be able to easily version control all my stories, obfuscate my secrets, and even use pull requests to modify my stories.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Tines primarily for triaging incoming Lacework vulnerabilities into Jira. Tines can parse the entire event payload and filter and append a lot of useful information to the Jira ticket.

I wish there was a desktop application so that I did not need to run it in a browser
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Account provisioning for our IT department. It automates much of the work

What do you like best about the product?
No code makes it easy for people with non-coding background to use it; easy to debug individual modules; code portability using JSON blobs that are automatically translated into building blocks.
What do you dislike about the product?
It will be interesting to see how quickly these integrations become fully baked runbooks in the future.

Just Simple and Powerful !

  • September 07, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The magic of being able to do almost everything with only seven actions: Sounds crazy but Tines kept his promise! Testing APIs has never been easier. It’s really simple to design a workflow by dragging drop boxes and building the link between them. The interface provides a good way to visualize the steps we are creating and gives the possibility to implement each of them quickly.

Another 2 great points are also the easiness of testing out the workflow and sending data to them by using the “webhook” actions whose deployment is almost instantaneous.
What do you dislike about the product?
Formula, the language provided to work with data is great and gives the capabilities to implement major use cases. But when it comes to complex transformations and manipulations Formula quickly reaches its limits and the implementations start to be really challenging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem Tines helps with was the waste of time by doing repetitive manual tasks working with some security tools. With Tines we were able to automate some processes with interactions with many tools and involving different individuals from different teams and roles. This increases efficiency and saves time.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease with which you can define actions and work on the dry run.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hmm, I would appreciate it if there were any interactive story-building lessons and enjoy any certification paths
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A lot of repetitive tasks can be automated. I am still a beginner anyways.

Tines - No Code Automation for the modern security team

  • August 19, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Tines is its ease of use. I have used many Low Code No Code solutions on the market (Zapier, Make.com, etc), but they all fall short in terms of usability against Tines, especially for Security Teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've yet to encounter any issues with Tines at this time. Assuming that I do run into problems, I expect they will be solved quickly, our account team has been super responsive from start to finish (purchasing to implementation).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tines has helped my startup to reduce its security operational costs (in terms of operational time spent and SaaS licensing) by a significant amount. With Tines story automation we were able to reduce the amount of time spent onboarding and offboarding employees by 83%. Additionally, we have utilized Tines to help control our SaaS licensing costs significantly by utilizing stories to ensure that licenses are properly removed from inactive employees.
