What do you like best about the product?
NX cad software is one of the most user friendly and effective software that i have used. Its new features like MBD helps us in automating a lot of design stuff. NX is also leveraging AI capabilities to make product design more efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
The amount of testing effort that is required while upgrading the software version.

We are using NX for designing our product. It's makes the entire process of design very user friendly

Checkmate checks are very efficient and can make quality checks very easy.

NX logging needs to be improved. It doesn't work well with P&IDs.

What do you like best about the product?
1) NX's synchronous technology allows users to work with both parametric and direct modeling techniques. This flexibility enables quick design iterations and easy modification of imported geometry from other CAD systems, enhancing productivity and collaboration.
2) NX supports extensive automation features such as customizable templates, feature-based modeling, and automated toolpath generation. These capabilities help streamline repetitive tasks and reduce manual intervention, leading to faster and more efficient workflows.
3) Siemens NX provides a fully integrated suite encompassing CAD, CAE, and CAM capabilities within a single platform. This integration allows seamless transition between design, analysis, and manufacturing processes, reducing the need for multiple software packages and ensuring data consistency.
4) NX integrates seamlessly with Siemens’ Teamcenter PLM software, facilitating robust data management, collaboration, and lifecycle management. This integration enhances traceability, reduces errors, and improves overall project coordination.

What do you dislike about the product?
1) It take time for NX to convert files from neutral file format.
2) Strong PLM integration with Teamcenter, but less seamless with Dassault products.
3) NX have lots of commands to exicute an same operation in different way so in some cases it is confusing.
4) Strong, but slightly less advanced than CATIA in surfacing.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For me NX is very user friendly CAD software for new user who are in primary leraning phase. NX gives step by step procedures when we are struggling to draw a part. along with this NX also shows the existing errors by each step of our designing. NX gives me clearity about how to draw and make complex desgin step by step. NX will give both offline and online support to user and this is very helpful for me.

I wish when I create a new skect it autoreferences key points of other sketches, extrusions, etc.

I liked the new AI powered CAD selection features I was able to test out in one of the hands on classes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I have random crashs for NX. That's a bummer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps to design new parts in 3D and allows for powerful retrofit solutions. I also like the drafting application from 3D models, it makes creating drawings very easy.
NX CAD is user-friendly software for 3D modeling and assembly!
What do you like best about the product?
I like the easy access to the different features of the toolbar and how easy it is to teach others how to use the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main disadvantage is that it is uncomfortable and even inefficient to use the software without a mouse.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a teaching assistant for a class that utilizes soley NX 12 to inform students about 3D Printing and CAD. I believe that the interface of the software and the multitude of Help videos are great when it comes to teaching others how to use the platform.
